GERD & bloating


I mainly struggle with acid reflux, heartburn, indigestion and, most often, flatulence and bloating. All of these symptoms and the GERD itself seems anxiety induced.

- Symptoms flare up most often in the evening and I crave cold stuff - cold rooms, drinks or food.
- Sometimes I'll experience the food coming up in the evening and often feel heartburn and stomach being unsettled or uncomfortable warm.
- This is an important symptom: I always get uncomfortably bloated with excessive gas in the evening, after dinner, UNLESS I eat very little. The only time I don't get any flatulence is when I eat very, very light and have barely had anything all day.
- When I get bloated, I have a lot of intestinal stomach noises and the sound of gas moving around, which is very uncomfortable. And nothing eases it, then. Sometimes I'll wake up and it's better, and sometimes it's still the same.
- When I'm anxious, my appetite decreases substantially and I get very nauseous.

- giving up caffeine, eating less, properly chewing, more exercise, etc.
- remedies: ignatia, arsenic, iris versicolor, robinia, phosphorus

Stop drinking water with food/ meals just have 1/3 glass of water at mid meal and after 45 minutes have a stomach ful

You have to change the cell acidic level to alkaline.
THE NORMAL PH of cells is alkaline. Too many acidic food choices over years tip the balance into acidic. Even tiny food choices repeated over months (like chocolate once a day., )will build up and cause this.
Google Acidic forming foods. And alkaline forming foods. Fyi all dairy is acidic. Use mostly alkaline foods for two weeks and cells will reset. Then you can add in acidic again and if you get symptoms you will know you have to cut back.
Also get a good probiotic to replenish gut flora.A good one is Garden of Life Once Daily.-Has 14 probiotic strains and feels gentle. My fam uses it , we take one cap apart and dissolve in some water.
In meantime you can take cell salt Nat phos 6x 3 tabs after eating-it is the homeo version of antacid. No remedies will cure if food choices are wrong.

I'll be more careful about keeping an alkaline diet. As is I dont eat much dairy or things on the acidic side of the spectrum, but I'll pay this more attention. Thanks!

Acidity's mostly gone. Although I'm not that bloated, I still get the intestinal stomach noises. And I still get pretty bad stomach aches when anxious.

I've had it for about a year. For years anxiety's caused nausea and a slight stomachache but for about a year, it's been more intense and causes indigestion. The triggers for anxiety are usually going into new situations or old situations that unnerved me in the past, sometimes I get anxiety about travel or meetings.

No need to apologize, since we're not formal patients on here! As for any further improvement, I haven't noticed any, although the previous improvements have been lasting - which is rare, since medicines often work for only a few days-a week at a time.

I get anxious when I don't know what to expect. I didn't used to be anxious for travel until I was once pulled aside at security randomly and that made me realize I couldn't plan/mentally prepare for what's to come. In meetings, it's the feeling of not being prepared because I don't know exactly what'll happen, which is why setting agendas and the like make me less anxious. I also have a bit of social anxiety so talking with people I don't talk to everyday triggers a few nerves.

I don't feel a hollow pit in the stomach. It feels more like everything is moving around and my mouth becomes slightly dry.

I don't feel much of a difference, I think I was improving more steadily when I took Rhus Tox daily. And I linked it in my post, but I can comment it again!
