Bell 1M overdose?

Hi on advice from our homeopath I gave my 4 year old son belladonna 1m tablet and then 3 hrly water dosing for high fever and tonsillitis. This had a fantastic turnaround and we continued for around 5 days reducing the frequency of the water dosing. On the last day I felt he was more unwell again - moany and seemed flushed so I gave him another 1M tablet as a one off. Now a week later I can see a pattern of symptoms occurring as if it is a proving of the remedy - at 3-4pm becomes moany and flushed, restless, chewing fingers, fearful. Difficulty getting to sleep, restless sleep and sweaty.

Will this wear off or should I contact to discuss antidote?

Thanks

I don’t know if it’s a proving if his last dose was one week ago. I am not a homeopath, but IF it is just a proving, you can wait for it to wear off or give him lower potency dosage of belladonna (like a dose of belladonna 30c, or 12c, or 6c, etc) to downgrade the higher potency. Your son will be more comfortable and the remedy will wear off fast.

If he’s not taking any other remedies, trying a lower potency dosage of the same remedy to see if that helps should be OK. This is how I downgrade/antidote remedies myself. Of course, the best thing to do would be to ask your homeopath just in case it isn’t a proving and perhaps something is wrong, or he needs a different remedy, etc.

Another way to antidote is to breathe in essential oils every so often until remedy is antidoted -specifically mint, eucalyptus, tea tree oil, and/or camphor. You can even mix some of the essential oil with a carrier oil like coconut oil, or jojoba oil, etc. and put on the skin too. Some people use mint and/or camphor rubs like Vicks VapoRub for example. He could even drink mint tea. People even use very strong coffee to antidote, but I wouldn’t give very strong coffee to a four year old.

Personally, I prefer taking lower potency of same remedy. The other ways might take longer depending on case.

I had to learn all this the hard way when no one would help me antidote…long story. I hope the above information helps. Best of luck.
