I did some hard research because the cases are rare and found out that when 1m potency is well selected but fails to hold , the lm potencies are realy helpfull even if its a nosode.
According to previous prescriptions, there was no progress on Tuberculinum 1M, so Tuberculinum LM5 was given 2 times daily. Over 2 months: better speech understanding, stimulated speech development (speaks small phrases and sentences, new words), no aggressive outbreaks (however, sharp changes of emotional state), better adapted to unusual situations, ritualistic behaviors are less frequent and result mostly from intellectual difficulties.

LM Potency works deeper than C potecy. But less aggravation.
And C potency has more prevelance than LM potency.
If there is any mistake selecting the right remedy, applying LM potency of nosodes may be life threatening. And antidote does nothing for that condition.
On the other hand, what happened to your case- When a higher potency of a moseode do nothing though wait for long time peeriod (30 days to 60 days), then it means that, he needs higher C potency. If it fails again though wait for long period and the potency was CM or highest, it means that, his vital energy is dominant. So he needs lower potency.
Than it is better to turn into LM Potency.
But not to think so fast before gradual higher potency and should not think without waiting for at least 30 days after applying single dose of C potency.
Otherwise, this patient may be shown to develop the symptoms of the nosode.
So, without being confirmed, it may seem blind practice.

My thoughts are that for a chronic disease that is very aggressive lm potencies will perform better because m potency will be consumed by an aggressive disease very quickly and cannot be repeated because of the proving effect.
Also the advantage of having a large number of lm scale.
