UTI - Enterococcus species

Ok. Thank you! Just to make sure I understand.. the Cantharis is one dose daily - an hour apart from the Medhorrinum? Or is it also twice daily?

I only have Nux Vomica 30 at home.. does that work? I ordered 200, but it doesnt come until tomorrow.

Its been 7 days.

She still has pyuria in her pee at the end of the catheter in the morning and noon time. Noon time is usually her worst urine. It is light because she has had water, but it smells quite strong, is cloudy and the pyuria tends to be thicker and darker. Her first morning pee tends to be a darker yellow despite that she drinks an average of 2.5 ltrs of water a day. Her later afternoon urine and last pee before bed are her clearer and have either very light pyuria or nothing (Judy a thicker opaque substance) the last couple of days. She still has no pain when peeing (with the catheter) and no fever. However, this afternoon she had increased frequency of pee. From 15 oclock I had to help her pee every 2 hours, which is unusual for her. Ill see what happens tomorrow.

As far as constipation, she still has to strain to go to the bathroom. She has to push backwards with her back to get anything to move and its taking 30 minutes on average to fully empty.

I have to say Ive seen an improvement in her left legs stability and ability to move/ walk with our support. The nurses mentioned that shes been doing her daily exercises much stronger. Im not sure if that is connected.

I did exactly as you mentioned. Nux Vomica the first three days and then Medhorrinum, Cantharis and Staphysagria, as well as Kali Mur and Kali Phos for the last four days.

Im trying to think of a description for what it smells like.. almost like strong vinegar? I think that would be the best description. Maybe slightly sweet? Does that help? Even when it is very light, it can be quite milky in appearance.

My mom has mild dementia and has also been a bit more confused in the evenings as well the last couple of days. Asking when she is going home or where her older sister is (she lives in a different city). She doesnt usually do this and is usually pretty clear as to her surroundings.

Ok.

It was a rough day. My mom was peeing constantly and she was complaining about pain when she had to pee. No pain still when I was putting in the catheter and no fever still and no pain once she pees. First morning pee and noon pee were quite dark yellow and only 200 ml and then after that she needed to go every one to two hours. There was some light pus in the noon urine (ammonia smell, and then since pus in the pee just before bed but otherwise nothing).. but still cloudy. She was quite badly constipated today as well and her hemorrhoids were very irritated and slightly bleeding.

I hope tomorrow goes better.

I gave her a dose of Mag Phos 6x right now.

I will continue giving her Medorrhinum, Cantharis, Staphysagria and two other tissue salts.

Day 4 from last post. My moms urine was clear all day yesterday and today. The frequent urination has stopped as well. No night sweats and she is sleeping better. No pain during the day. She is also going to the bathroom without having to strain as much. Thank you!

She went to the urologist yesterday and they were happy. They said the urine was clear and no need for antibiotics. The urologist said that he doesnt think shell ever be able to pee on her own as she has no muscle tone from the stroke, but I hope that isnt true. I think it was called Neurogenic Bladder. She has no ability to void on her own.

She is having a hard time in the morning the last two days. She is putting up a fuss when the nurses come in the morning to help clean her up/eat etc. Spits out her food and when I come to feed her she gives me an angry look, tight lips. Asks what we are giving her. Shes fine by afternoon/evening. This is just in the morning the last few days. She does end up eating all her porridge, but not happily.

I also noticed that my moms feet turned quite purple when she was on the commode today, and cold. She usually has socks on so I dont see what her feet look like. They went back to a normal colour afterwards.

Its been a week. The periods between having to go pee have increased to longer in between. Shes not needing to go as much. Its been easier for her to have bowel movements without having to strain as much and her feet seem to be warmer. No more blueish tinge. The pyuria is there on and off and some smell the last two days, but no pain or discomfort. Im doing the same as before.

My mom has been doing great. A little pyuria tonight, but otherwise its been completely clear for a couple days now.

The concern I have is today she wasnt very coordinated. Shes been doing really good with walking with assistance, but today she was having a hard time understanding where to place her feet and didnt seem to have as much strength. Her BP was good, oxygen was good, body temperature was good. However, she was a little more disoriented and sleepy. She had to go pee at a little closer intervals as well. Should I just continue with what we are currently doing and see if it passes?

My mom has been doing great with no UTI infections for a while now. However, on Monday she moved into a long term care home and shes been waking up from her naps confused and scared. She talks about how shes in a new place and she doesnt know what her job is and that they wont like her if she doesnt know her job. Is there any homeopathic remedy that would help her with the trauma of moving and help her adjust a little better? Yesterday she told me that she didnt feel it was fare and that she felt very sad.

I was thinking perhaps Ignatia Amara? Or would there be something better?
