Lump on throat and pain on left side of neck

Hello,

I am looking for some help with my current condition. I have been feeling a little lump on my throat (left side) when I press around. I had a doctor who is a friend feel yesterday and she didn’t think anything of it and said I think this is normal. It gave me some peace of mind, but I feel a little pain when I swallow in that same spot. I am now feeling a lot of pain on the left side of my neck and radiating to my shoulder and ear. I am not sure what this is but besides the pain, I am also very worried. Would appreciate it if I can get some insight on what is the best remedy for my symptoms.

Thank you so much.

Do your symptoms get better or worse under certain conditions?

Do you have any psychological symptoms?

Are you aware of any obvious cause of the symptoms?

Mention your age and gender?

I don’t know if anything makes it better or worse. I felt like anxiety about it made it worse. Sometimes when I yawn I feel it more and when I swallow. I don’t feel it every single time though. The pain comes and goes when I swallow but it has gotten worse and pain is now in left side and back of my neck, sometimes being felt in my left ear. Yesterday I started to come down with a cold and I also had a lot of anxiety about this, unsure of what is causing it. I took two doses of Aconite 200. Maybe 30 mins later I started taking a few doses of oscillococcinum 200 and surprisingly, the neck pain began to improve. Not sure if it was because now I started having cold symptoms and the sickness overcame the other pain I was experiencing. This morning I am feeling tightness on the left side of my neck but not as bad as yesterday.

I have not had a diagnosis so I don’t know what is causing this pain. I am a 39 year old female.

Thank you for your guidance!
