Cat Pouncing on Senior Dog

Hi, we have a 16 year old mini poodle mix and a 3 year old tuxedo cat. Our cat has a strong predatory tendency towards our dog - multiple times a day she will sneak around and pounce on our unsuspecting (and completely deaf) senior pup. I realize cats have natural hunting instincts and she is an indoor cat and I suspect boredom is at play so we are figuring that out. But our pup is becoming very anxious, shaking and following us around so we can offer her protection against the cat. A couple nights ago the cat pounced and cut the dogs ear so it seems shes becoming more aggressive as shes never drawn blood in the past. Wondering if theres a remedy we can give our cat to help cope with life indoors and hopefully lessen her urge to hunt the dog. We could also use help figuring out a remedy to help calm the nerves of our dog.

FYI - Ive reached out to a homeopathic vet but curious to know if anyone could offer insight as our appt is a ways off.
