7 year old and her nagging headache _{Page 2 of 3}

It was a dry cough - no flem. We went to Houston for spring break. She had a mild cough that morning and then she had a icee and it seemed like she did not stop coughing after that. We stayed in Houston just for a day and rushed back. She just kept coughing and coughing non stop. We gave her all kinds of cough medicine but it would not go away till the antibiotic was introduced. The coughing lasted 10 to 15 days.

I am making her sleep next to me for the last month and a half just to monitor her at night. I am worried I am trying so many different medications. She sleeps sound and through the night. The day before we got her MRI done (2 weeks back), she woke up around 4 AM and said her head hurt. It was very unusual so I insisted on gettig an MRI done. The doctor says the next step is a referral to a child neurologist. I am not sure if this is the approach I should take.

Also, she is a sound sleeper and sleeps through the night.

We live in Austin. Houston is about 4 hours away. We drove by car to Houston. The weather in Houston is hot and humid. She had strated coughing the morning we were going to leave. It seemed like the icee she had at lunch time flared up the cough and after that it was non-stop cough. We did not eat in a restaurant but opted to bring it to our hotel room and eat because of her extreme dry cough. She was looking forward to the trip and was very happy to go (full of joy).

Even otherwise, she is a very happy child and always smiling and happy. She says she tries to be be busy so she can forget her headache.

No, she is not an angry kid. However, lately she is having a tough time with a class boy who is copying her work and sticking his tongue at her, etc. She is pretty upset about this. Last week she crie din school and many of her friends wrote her little notes saying that they saw this boy being mean and sticking his tongue and that they love her etc. I talked to the teacher a couple of times but she did not seperate them and put them in different tables. She says the boy is having a hard time understanding english. Anyways, she just has 4 more days of shool left. Also, her class teacher recently left to have a baby and she has a new teacher whom she is not very fond of. I thought too that this could be stress related. I encourage her to talk about the classmate and why she is frustrated with him. Thanks!

Yes, John that is correct. Cough was prior to headache's.

Sorry, I did not see this. Austin and Houston are both hot. Houston is more humid than Austin. There was nothing that could have stirred emotion. She was jumping with joy because it was spring break.

She loves going and staying in hotels and eating 'all you can eat breakfast' the next morning.

Cough was only during the day. Even the cough was only when she was awake - a real bad cough. I remember going to a store in houston and the clerk asked her to close her mouth while she was coughing. I did ask her if her headache goes away whne she sleeps. She said she does not know.

I think she is such a sound sleeper since birth that once she sleeps she turns a switch off. When she needs to sleep she can sleep on teh carpet, concrete, any where since birth.

I want some clarification on this. I put 1 pellet sepia 200c(preferred) in 4 oz water stir heavy and then give her 1 teaspoon dose. How many times per day and for how many days?

I got Sepia 200c. So I put one pellet in 4 oz water, stir and give her 1 teaspoon ONLY. Right?

Her headache is really bad today.

John, I just gave her 1 teaspoon at 5:40 PM CST. I hope this works. Her headcahe and pain in her legs behind her knees has increased today. I am getting really worried.Thanks
