Weight gain with menopause

Hello. Since entering menopause I have been gaining weight. I am 48 years old and have not had a period for approx 2 years. The weight gain has been gradually increasing over this time.
I know I must make some adjustment to my food intake and I should eat less but my appetite is constantly unsatisfied. I feel unhappy with the flabby feel of my body and feel tired and unmotivated.
I walk my dog every day and generally eat fresh home cooked food. I drink very little alcohol.
I expect that my metabolism has slowed down and I’m wondering if there is a remedy to help my holistic reintegration. I took one dose of calc carb 1m a few weeks ago and have not noticed any change.
I would be grateful for your advice. Thank you.
