Looking for remedies to help with side affects of birth control pills

My 23 yr old daughter was on the birth control pill from age 16 to 23. During this time frame she tried many different strengths of the pill because she always had a problem of some sort like spotting, terrible terrible acne so she finally went off the pill. She has been off of it for 7 mths and has not had a monthly period yet. She is not pregnant (has done pregnancy tests regularly). She went to our family doctor who did blood work which confirmed high testosterone levels. Over the past 2 mths she has started to grow hair on her chin, under her chin and now has a noticeable mustache growing on her upper lip. She is terribly upset about all of this and just wants her period back and wants the hair growth to stop. She is now bleaching the growing hairs. Her sex drive is very high due to the testosterone. She has seen our naturopath who is also a classical homeopath. He has her on a remedy now that is giving her many odd dreams but so far no period. What remedies do you suggest to help with the side effects of birth control pills (no period, high testosterone, hair growth)

Thanks!

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Obviously a glandular problem and I have often used

Pineal 6x

and Thymus 6x

used together they will often readjust overunder active glands.

Our naturopath has her on Thyroidia 200C to be taken daily at the same time each day. It is in wet form. Is this the same as what you've suggested?

stop use of birth control--the use of birth control due to premiscuity or sexual activness is main issue---address fear of pregnancy and desire to be sexual active....yeah yeah i know the story ...preventative --heard it before...just excuse not ot address real issue...birth control is not a problem--but by what means and how much compromise health so to have sex--that is a problem..an illness...and encouraged --as vaciines and al allo med..

get her off meds--allow symptos stablize.and approach from new view--

She is no longer on the birth control pill but she does use a birth control sponge. She is on no allopathic meds at all but is on Thyroidia 200C from the naturopath.

Let us know if John is able to fulfill his false claim to cure your daughter of premiscuity

Carlotta,

No she hasn't been tested for polycystic ovary syndrome however he has done bloodwork which included glucose etc. She has seen an OBGYN as well for exams. The OBGYN suggested birth control pills (rolling eyes)

John,

Here is some info on contraceptive sponges:

http://www.pamf.org/teen/sex/birthcontrol/sponge.html

It may list what chemical is in them.

Carlotta,

Guess what...

The doctor now suspects polycystic ovary syndrome just like you said! He has scheduled my daughter for an ultra sound in 2 wks. If she does have it she will then see our naturopath and then I will come here and tell what he prescribed.

Oh yes - PCOS - the diagnosis du jour - find a woman who has been on the pill for any length of time and 5, 10, or 15 years later they will be diagnosed with PCOS - mark my words.

Ask your homeopath about folliculinum. It is eostrogen - can be used to counteract allopathic response.

Cured my 'PCOS' with two doses!

Good luck!

Meant to say can be used to counteract response to allopathic drug - birth control pill.

busymominme,

I had to chuckle at your 'diagnosis de jour' remark :)

Yep, the naturopath (who is also a homeopath) said that there are things that can be done but he's not doing anything until he sees the test results. Meanwhile the GP said that if the tests come back positive he'd suggest she go back on the pill!

Glad to hear you had such success with folliculinum!!!

Thanks!

That was my GP's response to - go back on the pill. Yikes!

Keep us posted!

Ontario,

I see that it has been some time since the last post, just curious to know if the problem is solved?

When reading your first post, I could have sworn that I was the person you were speaking of.
I have raised testosterone and same symptoms after being on the pill for 10 years. I got off about 6 months ago and haven't had a period since (taken pregnancy tests to no avail).
The doctor wants me to get back on the pill, but my husband and I refuse. I feel that may have caused all of this mess in the first place.

Just looking on where to turn next.
Thanks for your reply!
