muscle spasms in back..can't lie down or sleep

Good evening all,
I was diagnosed a few weeks ago with torn tendons in both ankles. Symptoms are swelling, pain and instability in walking.
I went to a sports podiatrist last Wed. for treatment. He taped the arch and ankle of one foot, andput wedges in the heel part of my shoe. From Wed. evening until now (sat. night) I have had acute pain and muscle spasms in my back. The pain is greater than what I experienced in labour with my baby, and is worse when I lie down, in fact, I can't lie down. I have removed the tape from my foot and the heel wedges from my shoes, but the pain persists. I am at a complete loss as to what to do...please help.
sincerely, Joanne

Dear Jo Jo,

I advise you to take Rhus Tox 200 one dose(4-6 pellets) daily.Along with this take Mag Phos 6X(bio chemic medicine) 4 pellets thrice a day.

Report after 1 week.

Thank you both. I didn't have the Rhus Tox, but have been taking the Mag Phos as a tincture in cups of hot water and that has made a wonderful difference. The pain is still there but bearable.
