I am writing regarding my mother-in-law's conditon. She says that she feels nervous all the time, and feels really hot. She feels slightly better if she showers or drinks lemon soda. She looks nervous also. We dont know what this problem could be, but she is being bothered a lot from it. Can you help me out with this please? Thank you so much.

P.S. (I had posted this problem on the post titled 'Arnica for chronic muscle pain' becaues my mom also has arthritis. Just for information you can see that as well

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
please help with this someone.
It is for my mother in law. She says she feels nervous and it gets worse in the afternoon around 2pm until nighttime. She doesn't sleep that well either.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Hi,
The information you have provided in not sufficient about patient. Arthritis and chronic muscle pain are only diseases & their manifestations. To treat patient you have to tell about patient. Mental symptoms are very important to understand patient constitution. Otherwise any treatment will be palliative. As you know human body is a complex system which consists of many sub systems like digestive system, circulatory system, nervous system, respiratory system, excretory system etc. If you treat disease not the patient then disease will only leave one system and move to some other system with different symptom set. So it’s important you fill a form (a very good case taking form is already on this forum) along with details. Just remember you have to draw patient's personality picture in words. Mental condition, phobia’s, anxieties, fears, how she reacts with strangers, children, family members, sensitivity from anything, Likes, dislikes etc. After posting all that details just wait for reply. When all experts on this forum agree on a constitutional medicine and its potency then start her treatment.

I would be interested in what actually is causing this nervousness, irritability and restlessness, how long she has had these symptoms, what was happening prior the onset. What aggravates or improves her symptoms. Does she get physical sensations in other parts of the body at this time. What else is happening in association with this complaint.
And also the constitutional stuff like Jazzy spoke about

Dear Jazzy and emmanaturopath,

Thank you for your responses.

I cannot find the case taking form on here, however
I will try to provide as much information about my mom-in-law. It's been two years now that she has been very stressed and overworked. I mean family members giving her trouble (mental abuse), and handling too much around the house. She says that she has a thyroid problem per a doctor she had seen a while ago in India.

From my observation, she seems to worry a lot about her children and family. Actually she is just the worry type. I have never seen her relax or treat herself to anything. She takes many medicines to be able to work around the house for example tylenol, motrin..she also takes prescription medicine for muscle pain. I think sadness, depression, helplessness aggravates her symptoms. She gets pain all over her body. Mostly around the neck and shoulder area. Also, she has knee pain.

Please feel free to ask my specific questions if need be. I am not sure what else information to provide.

Thank you very much,
zig

Dear rshimba,
I hope the answers are sufficient, I tried to explain them as clearly as possible. My mom wanted me to emphasize her problem with cold sores in her mouth, even with the antibiotic she is not finding relief (she has these often). Is there something she can take for this? Soon she will be taking her remedies for arthritis also. Should I give her sulphur on any specific day?

Thanks a lot,
zig

sulphur is recommended to start the action of the subsequent remedy and to nutralise the effect of all medications earlier.

give her 2 doses of sulphur 200c with a gap of 2 days and then after 2 days, give the main remedy for her.

three doses of CAUSTICUM 200C at an interval of 6 hours on one day only.

all her mentals, sore mouth linings, arthritic pains will improve gradually.

repeat one dose set after two weeks.

do not give any separate remedy for arthritis. CAUSTICUM 200C will cover all symptoms.

best wishes.
