Sneezing, itchy watery eyes

My 5yr old son started having runny nose , watery itchy red eyes yesterday. He was outside in a park all day and this is allergy season and he has tested positive for some of the pollen in the area where we currently are staying. He is also allergic to grass pollen (and my husband as well as neighbors mowed the grass yesterday. I did keep the windows closed during day but was really hot so opened couple at night).

The runny nose came first. Followed by redness in eye and later itching. Left eye is more affected.

Runny nose is a clear watery liquid. No mucus.

Runny nose is there in the morning, evening AND at night as well. Around afternoon, seems to have some respite.

This morning his school teacher called me to tell me he was in a lot of discomfort, would not open eyes & was rubbing them. I had given him one drop of Patanol (antihistamine) eyedrops in each eye around 8:20am. Around 9:30am his teacher called to say he was worse. At 11:30am I went to see him, he seemed better, but still eyes are watery and red.

He had a similar episode in June 2005 as well. It kind of starts around April and goes thru september but June - July are the peak/worst times for him.

Any remedy which can make this better ? Thanks

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
One drop of red onion juice in a liter of water.

Use just one drop as medicine. I believe you don't have to leave home to buy any remedy to try this.

Thanks. I am assuming you mean to take the one drop orally ( and not that the drop should be put in the eye.). We will try this. Thanks.

Homeopathically you are taking Allium Cepa 5-6X
