prevention before operation

Hi. I'm due to have an operation shortly and would like to use something to help with the bruising and swelling I will have afterwards. I think Arnica would be the right to take (please let me know if this is incorrect) but I'm confused about the different doses... thanks!

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
I used 3 balls Arnica 200c twice daily on the day before my surgery and 2 balls 30c taken every 2 hours after surgery. The balls I used were 3mm ø and I did not have to use the Morphine syringe connected to the IV drip as the Arnica seemed to deaden the pain and promoted quick healing.

I was out of bed on the third day and the nursing staff were amazed that a 73 year old could do so without showing any serious discomfort without the morphine. I was discharged on the fifth day and walked to the car to the amazement of the staff to whom I revealed my secret when I was leaving as I feared that they may not have permitted me to use Arnica instead of Morphine.

I reduced the frequency of the dosage after the fifth day when I was discharged after my open Prostatectomy and took it 3 times daily for a month and have taken just 3 balls at night every day since my surgery.

Arnica 30 promotes deep restful sleep and may be the reason for my low BP of 120/80 with pulse 65 at age 75.

For surgery involving cartilage and periosteum, Ruta 30 the evening before, the morning of the operation, and immediately afterward for 2 dose, one hour apart.

The following remedies should be given one hour after the last dose of Arnica for two days unless otherwise stated:
