Floaters and Flashes
I developed a floater in my right eye when I was pregnant due to preeclampsia. A month after the baby was born I found I also had misty vision when looking at something dark, also in a dark room everything looked like a fuzzy tv screen. A few weeks later I started getting all different types of 'flashes' and 'sparkles'. My doctor said there was pigmentation in the back of my eye. I finally got to see an eye specialist 3 months after first developing the floater- after examining my eyes said there is nothing physically wrong with them and said it would probably go after time. That was two months ago- since then it has slowly been getting worse I took Phosphorus 30c for a week which seems to have improved the misty vision but the flashes vary from day to day and I now also have a tiny floater in my left eye. The other symptoms are in both my eyes and I still have the larger floater in my right eye. I keep going to the doctor and being tested for high blood pressure which I haven't got.happygolucky on 2006-07-04

I think what you maybe experiencing is an opthalmic migraine. It's a blood circulation to the brain issue. I would suggest trying a chiropractor. C1 and C2 could easily be your problem. And then again, some people are just prone to them. I get them when I need sugar. I have gotten the less frequently lately since I have been taking a different all organic supplement--that I can assure you is 100% safe for you and the infant. The only know complication is certain food allegies. email me and we can talk about it b/c I'm not allowed to list it here.

Are you sure? I've had migraines in the past with spots in front of my eyes but they were nothing like this, and the doc's said there is no link. The specialist confirmed it was because of the preeclampsia. It is constant with no headache.

I went to my optomistrist with this problem about ten years ago. At first I thought it was just in one eye. Which concernern me because that is indicative of a partially detatched retina. But, he didn't find anything. Which was a good thing! He said that if I paid particular attention to it the next time I had one, I would see that it was in both eyes...And that I was just noticing it in my dominant eye more. So the next time it happened, I covered each eye individually, and he was right. I went back and he explained to me what the were...opthalmic migraines. Some are more intense and others are less severe. At first it seemed like they came and went randomly. But, I followed his advice and I documented things surrounding mine. It's taken a long time but I have figured out a lot of the things that trigger mine and how to get them to subside. For instance, I know I am more prone to them during certain parts of my cycle, periods of high stress, after eating a high fat meal, when my blood sugar is low, and when eating anything containing MSG or sage. It has taken me nearly a decade to figure that out. If you listen well enough and long enough to your body, you'll discover that it can tell you everything you need to know.
My biggest problems were obviously arterial bloodflow constriction and regulating my blood sugar...I am hypoglycemic. Simply put, it the opposite of a diabetic. A close personal friend, who also is a pharmacist, recommended this one product. Now, I am a scientist. Which is about as skeptical as you can get. Then I read the clinical research...Now I take it. It's all organic!
