broke out with shingles just a few days ago- what remedy will stop them?

Good tidings to all -- A small patch of bumps appeared on my left side about 4-5 inches below my arm pit. They itched at first, but not so much now. However, I am noticing new spots forming in a band going around to my back. I researched shingles and the pictures look just like what I have. It appears that allopaths recommend antiviral medications, is there a homeopathic equivalent? I would like to stop the virus in its tracks. I did have chickenpox when I was 12. Any suggestions would be most appreciated. I would like to avoid allopath medications if at all possible. Thank You, Rose

Thank You so much...I looked it up in the MATERIA MEDICA and noticed the potency was from the sixth to the thirtieth...would you happen to know what the dose would be?

I know it come in at least 200C. I'm not a homeopath. My inclination (because I know what a horror from a friend what shingles can be like) would be a fairly high potency, but better if one of the homeopaths here advises you. It would also tie in to how frequently you took it.

I have an herbal suggestion. Lysine and Herp-Eeze. Herp-Eeze is a proprietary blend available from Olympian Labs. Try olympianlabs.com. These are both highly recommended, and I would think you could take them during the same period (alternating) as a homeopathic remedy.

Back to the homeopathics, my Murphy rep mentions several remedies ahead of variolinum, including Ranunculus bulbous and Rhus Tox. So I hope one of the professionals pipes up.

If they don't, at least you have, and I appreciate that very much. You have given me a good place to start. There are so many people with very serious problems the homeopaths in this forum are so generously helping, that I can not complain if they choose not to comment on this post. But I do want to thank you again for your suggestions.
