Caffeine & Homeopathics

I know that you are not supposed to drink coffee while using homeopathic remedies but does anyone know about green or white tea? I'm an avid tea drinker and can't imagine giving up my tea.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
It is the Caffein in the Coffee that antidotes homeopathic remedies. You can still drink decaffeinated coffee if you must have coffee but Tea which is grown in Sri Lanka where I live, is absolutely OK when using homeopathic remedies.

I note that you mentioned green and 'white' tea. As a connoisseur of tea myself I have never had 'white' tea and would like to know more about this strange brew.

So green tea should be ok? Coffee I could care less about, I'm very sensitive to caffeine so I stay away from coffee.

You should try white tea, it's lovely. Much milder than green tea and somewhat sweet.

There is a great deal of caffeine in nonherbal tea. I drink decaffeinated green tea.

I have a friend who sees a homeopathic doc in Portland, OR and he says it's NOT the caffeine that is the problem, but the OILS in the coffee. My friend drinks black tea in the morning which has caffeine in it.

I'm still puzzled by this issue.

Our homeopathic pharmacy gives you directions which read in part:

'Certain things interfere with the body's ability to recognize and absorb remedies. These should be kept at least an hour away or avoided altogther - coffee, strong herbs, such as tea tree oil, menthol, eucalyptus and mint, including candy, gum and toothpaste containing these flavors.'
