Anti aging technology

The curse of immortality: Why anti-aging technology would spell disaster for humankind

One of the greatest attributes of the human race is that it gives birth to itself anew with each successive generation. Living, growing, learning and then dying is all part of a natural process that keeps the species healthy and adaptive. That's why death is programmed into our very cells, so that we can get out of the way and make room for the next generation.

Dying is not only an important natural cycle, it's also the most important thing that will ever happen to many individuals in positions of power today.

Gingko Biloba

The Ginkgo Biloba tree is one of the oldest living species, geological records indicate this plant has been growing on earth for 150 - 200 million years. Chinese monks are credited with keeping the tree in existence, as a sacred herb. It was first brought to Europe in the 1700's and it is now a commonly prescribed drug in France and Germany. It is one of the most well-researched herbs in the world.

It is gaining recognition as a brain stimulant that enhances memory because of its positive effects on the vascular system, especially in the cerebellum. It is also used as a treatment for vertigo, tinnitus (ringing in the ears) and a variety of neurological disorders and circulation problems. Ginkgo may help to counteract the effects of aging, including mental fatigue and lack of energy.

It works by increasing blood flow to the brain and throughout the body's network of blood vessels that supply blood and oxygen to the organ systems. It increases metabolism efficiency, regulates neurotransmitters, and boosts oxygen levels in the brain which uses 20% of the body's oxygen.

Benefits of enhanced circulation in the brain include improved short and long term memory, increased reaction time and improved mental clarity. It is often used to treat elderly persons with Alzheimer's and other symptoms of cerebral insufficiency. Cerebral insufficiency is a general term for a collection of symptoms that include difficulties of concentration and memory, absentmindedness, confusion, lack of energy, depressive mood, anxiety, dizziness, tinnitus, and headache.

Its ingredients are beneficial for a variety of imbalances and deterioration in the brain and body. A standardized extract inhibits platelet activity factor (PAF), which is a common allergen in the body. Excessive PAF can help cause cardiovascular disease, brain damage, hearing disorders and other immune and inflammatory diseases.

It has also has been used to relieve tension and anxiety and improve mental alertness, elevate mood and restore energy.

The plant has two groups of active substances, flavonoids and terpene lactones, including ginkgolides A, B, and C, bilobalide, quercetin, and kaempferol. The ginkgolides have been shown to control allergic inflammation, anaphylactic shock and asthma.

It also acts as a powerful antioxidant and contributes to the oxidation of free radicals which are believed to contribute to premature aging and dementia. Antioxidants also protect the eyes, cardiovascular system and central nervous system.

It may also help control the transformation of cholesterol to plaque associated with the hardening of arteries, and can relax constricted blood vessels.

The herb has been used in treatment of other circulation-related disorders such as diabetic peripheral vascular disease, Raynaud's syndrome, hemorrhoids and varicose veins. It can also aid in the treatment of insufficient circulation and complications from stroke and skull injuries. Its beneficial effects on the circulatory system also can be of benefit in the treatment of eye and ear disorders.

Studies have confirmed that it increases blood flow to the retina, and can slow retinal deterioration resulting in an increase of visual acuity. In clinical tests it has improved hearing loss in the elderly. It also improves circulation in the extremities relieving cold hands and feet, swelling in the limbs and chronic arterial blockage. Among other things, it is being studied as a treatment to prevent the rejection of transplanted organs, as a treatment for asthma and for toxic shock syndrome.

Parts Used: Dried leaf.

Common Use: It has been shown to be nutritional support for mental alertness, enhanced vitality level, circulatory health and blood vessel health. Its high antioxidant activity is valuable for fighting age related conditions.

Care: The tree thrives in full sun and average soil. It is very resistant to infection and pollution and can grow up to 120 feet.

Of-course...he who takes birth on this planet has to die one day.

Important thing is to live a fuller and healthier life while one is alive.

Human life is given by the Creator to recognise the wonder of His creations.

The best way to pay back the Creator is to provide service to fellow human beings.

As you are perhaps aware, I have been taking Arnica 30c in the Wet dose nightly for the last 14+ years and I have sufficient evidence that this simple remedy of which only 3 drops are used in a 500ml bottle of spring water will help the person using it to enjoy a state of wellness that is equal to or even better than using Gingko Biloba. I base my observations not only on my own record of relative wellness at my advanced age of 81 years but I have also closely observed clients some of whom are close friends who have used it in the manner that I have prescribed and to whom I have given the remedy in spring water free of charge as always, and they all have reported that they just cannot do without it today as they all keep coming to me for refills.

Arnica helps to increase the flow of blood in the body and also helps to clear up the debris like Cholesterol in the arteries and helps to keep the level of both Triglycerides and Cholesterol at optimum levels. I have had many reports of my Lipid Profile done regularly as have others who are using this Arnica therapy and there is no doubt that I owe my wellness today which I believe is first thanks to God and to Arnica that we have benefitted from it nightly use. My BP is

Dear Joe...Arnica is your constitutional med. However, it may not be the constitutional medicine for everyone...based on the theory of homeopathy.

Ginko Biloba is a herb...not a potensised medicine.

Dear Pankaj,

I believe that this is where I disagree with classical homeopathy where you have stated that Arnica is my Constitutional Medicine.

I beg to differ as Arnica has proved to be a life saver for many cases that I have treated with my Joepathy and if you will please vislt a post on this page by Dr Mahfooz on the link below, you will perhaps agree that it is not necessary for any remedy to be a 'Constitutional remedy' to be effective to enable the patient to enjoy a state of wellness that no other drug, tonic or Homeopathic remedy can equate.

I have tried to share this message that Arnica will do anyone who takes it in the manner that I have prescribed, a lot of good. I cannot fully explain how it does so from helping with Dysuria in the case of Mahfooz to other more serious conditions which I have documented on Arnica the Miracle Remedy on:

All I can do is to share my experience with this Miracle Remedy with anyone who cares to listen and I do hope that there will be more interest in following my research on Arnica in the future.

Dear Joe,
Homeopathy also talks of 'polycrests'....medicines that can cure a variety of symptoms.

And...Arnica is one of the polycrests.

So what you are claiming as your findings is nothing new...the fore-fathers of homeopathy already documented a lot of stuff.

I still appreciate your efforts in providing healing to a lot of people around the globe.

I will not like to engage in a further dialogue on this matter as with limited time I can either get into long posts on this with you or help some people with their ailments. The latter is more in line with my personal objectives in life.

No offence meant.

Best regards,

Common Homeopathic Remedies And Polycrests

The most common homeopathic remedies are often referred to as polycrests. Many of them have been in use in homeopathic preparations since the beginning of homeopathy and have an earlier history of use in herbal preparations. The polycrests are effective for a wide variety of conditions and are often used for common symptoms of simple illnesses.

Easily available online or in many health food stores and some pharmacies, the polycrests are known by many to treat a variety of ailments from influenza to sinus congestion to PMS. Often self-prescribed, they are used in a 'homeo-therapeutic' way and treat acute simple conditions in this way. There are a few common remedies that wonderfully treat the simple illnesses of children and adults around the world. Arnica is a well-known example. Used after a fall or an accident, it is known to aid in the quick healing of bruises, injuries and traumas.

Please remember that while these remedies often do well at treating common problems, that you might need a different remedy for your problem and would do well to consult a homeopath for real homeopathic treatment.

In modern world there is keen competition and rat race to survive better. Advancement in medical system and better understanding (use) of anti-aging would be quite useful for this.

I remember my father looking old and with losing quarter of his teeth by my age. I look in 30's, quite energetic, despite having several complications.

There are quite a few recognized anti-aging things:

~ Ginkgo Biloba / Gotu Kola / Brahmi
~ Milk Thistle / Dandelion / Artichoke
~ Ginseng / Ashwagandha / Tea
~ Grape Seed
~ Bitter herbs / Insulin sensitizers

~ Yoga
~ Oil Pulling
~ Fasting

I share view of Pankaj on Ginkgo as well as Arnica.

But high regards to Joe. There is need to recognize anti-aging common stuff in Homeopathy. And if daily use of Arnica turns out to be anti-aging to any certain (5%, 10%, 50%) percentage of population, it is a great accomplishment.

As an example the chinese herbalist Li Ching Yuen effectively used anti-aging stuff and known to be longest living person. His practices included:
- Tranquil mind
- Sit like a tortoise
- Walk sprightly like a pigeon
- Sleep like a dog
