dry,hacking,croupy cough -anybody help
HiMy two year old daughter has been having dry,hacking and croupy cough since yesrterday.Gave her spongia 200c this morning but condition has not improved.The cough is worse while lying down.
Anybody help.

It is no wonder that she did not respond to Spongia T as the potency you gave her was far too high.
The lower potency of 6 or better still 30c is indicated.

Dear Joe
Mihir is also little unwell.Have bewen givin g him nat sulph regularly but suddenly he started coughing very badly day before yesterday was having broncho spasm which just did not stop with ars alb 200c gave him twice between a gap of 1 hour and had to resort to asthalin.Just could not see him zsufferring like that.The cough was just not stopping .
Now he is better but for future what do you suggest.

You will have to give Mihir 1 teaspoonful of NS twice daily when he catches any URT infection. This is to help him to fight the infection which tends to bring on the Asthma.
You should also use the steam inhalation technique and if his lungs seem congested, you can do the physiotherapy that I have indicate today on another thread on Asthma to Vijay Thappar. I believe that the phlegm that results from any infection triggers an attack which Ars Alb should stabilize but if it does not feel free to use any means available to enable him to breathe.
The idea is to avoid the inhaler and of course do not give him any antibiotics at all unless on a SOS basis.
Put him back to the split dose every other day ASAP when he gets over the infection.

Yeah i have put him on the wet dose shall give him the wet dose for atleast week -10 days and thwen put him on split again but it seems like a circle split-wet-split he is not getting out of this circle also his adenoids are mildly enlarged any suggestion regarding that.

This is the problem with Asthma as the cure usually takes time even with Nat Sulph.
We have to be thankful that Mihir is not on his Asthalin on a daily basis and you will have to play it by ear and vary the dosage accordingly. The steam is very important on a daily basis as this keeps the lungs relatively free of the mucus which may be the cause of his asthma. You may use the physiotherapy that I indicate either to you or Fauzia as this helps when the lungs are mucous.
I would not bother with his adenoids which should normally not be a source of any concern in a few days. I do not think that they have any connection with his asthma.
