constituitional archetypes
i know that there is some sort of personality typing used specifically by homeopaths- i can't find anything on the web except for books to read- in order to properly diagnos myself i need to know what type i am- what are the types and their charateristicsthayuni-ohnita on 2006-08-31
This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
At this point there are hundreds if not thousands of types because there are that many remedies and each has a different set of mind characteristics. Some are better understood than others, and some remedies are only known for a few physical characteristics.
A repertory would be one way to start, but you would then need to read up on the specific remedies to see how well they fit.
My favorite book is Bailey's Personality Profiles. The better materia medica also go into the descriptions.
It can be very hard to see these things about ourselves. You may need to consult with a homeopath to determine your type. sometimes in reading about a remedy, I think it almost exactly describes me, until I read the next one, which is very different than the first but somehow still seems to be about me!
