8 year old with excema on face
My 8 year old daughter developed excema on her forehead about a year ago. This has cleared some. Today she woke to find the excema down the side of her face. Not only does it itch, but being an 8 year old girl, she is very self conscious. Could the oil in her long hair cause this? She has (for many years) also excema on her elbows and knees. I shall start her with arnica 6c in the wet dose and see how this works. Doctors here in the states advise hydrocortisone cream for excema.

The eczema on your daughters face could possibly be caused by the oil of hair if it is long, but I don't think this is likely given the fact she has the condition on other areas of the body, it could though, be an aggravating factor.
The treatment of skin disorders is a very complex issue in Homoeopathy, as outward expressions of this kind are mostly what we hope to achieve from good prescribing, and represent the most superficial level of disease. Baring this in mind, the wrong prescription can be very supressive in these cases, and drive the disease further into the body, where it will cause more harm.
I would therefore suggest you actually take your daughter to a good classical Homoeopath in person, rather than trying any suggestions given online, which could end up doing her more harm than good.

Take her off all dairy. Many children express excema as allergic immune response to protein in milk products. Worth a shot.

Thank You Carlotta for your kind advice. Will give this a try. She has started complaining of milk causing her tummy to hurt.

Arnica 6c appears to be working. She has been using for just a few days and already the reddnes and itchiness is gone. Just waiting on the bumps to go down.

The excema on my daughter's face is completely gone! This has only taken 7 days. She will continue with the Arnica 6c until her elbows heal. She has started to day with the Nat Sulp to prevent Fall/Winter asthmatic symptoms.
