Suffering from Carpal tunnel after pregnancy

I gave birth 3 weeks ago and am now suffering from Carpal tunnel:
- 1 week before the delivery I started to feel slight tingling in the right hand at night only
- Right after the baby was born (and still in the delivery room)the 4 fingers were numb & tingling and the pain started up to the elbow. Note that I had an epidural and was told that it would all go away after a couple of weeks as it was probably due to the fluid injected during the epidural.
- Now 3 weeks later it is still the same (altough the pain has gone because I were a splint I believe) the numbness & tingling is day and night and the left hand has started as well...which make it worse to take care of a baby!!

Any suggestion would be welcome. Thanks.

Dr Deoshlok Sharma,
Thank you for your reply.
I would just like to know the difference in the treatment suggested with the following posting:

carpal tunnel syndrome From okezin on 2006-01-03

My hands and wrists ache a lot. Especially my right wrist and fingers give me a lot of trouble during the night. I gave birth 2 weeks ago. These symptoms began in pregnancy and did not go away after delivery. I am a breastfeeding mom using my arms, hands, fingers a lot and I would like to know what remedies I can use safely. Thank you.

Know your carpal tunnel syndrome-----
Carpal tunnel syndrome is a painful progressive condition caused by compression of a key nerve in the wrist. It occurs when the median nerve, which runs from the forearm into the hand, becomes pressed or squeezed at the wrist. Symptoms usually start gradually, with pain, weakness, or numbness in the hand and wrist, radiating up the arm. As symptoms worsen, people might feel tingling during the day, and decreased grip strength may make it difficult to form a fist, grasp small objects, or perform other manual tasks. In some cases no direct cause of the syndrome can be identified. Most likely the disorder is due to a congenital predisposition - the carpal tunnel is simply smaller in some people than in others. However, the risk of developing carpal tunnel syndrome is especially common in those performing assembly line work.
Treatment: You are advise to take Medhorinum 10M weekly one doses and Rhus tox 30 thrice in a day for 6 month other wise this disease is uncurable in this world. Only homoeopathy can help you . You should regular touch with this forum.

windhaven you 'd be under a trauma of delivery(where arnica';ll be needed.)Epidural has its own side-effects. So if your problem is from epidural I'd look up opium. Every person is different in that way deoshlok could've decided gels for you. Any way we shall wait deoshlok's answer to your query.
