This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
After the fever has gone...the body ache still remains.
Cannot comment on what your homeopath has given...as name of med not given by ur h'path.

I have found that Ruta G can relieve the pain in about 2/3 days.

After chickungunia fever has gone, Kali mur 1000 one dose will negate the ache quickly.

Dear Turning point

These are the kind of prescriptions I despise.

What works for X need not work for Y.

A homeopath needs some more info to prescribe.

There will be some pointers to the remedy, if you can tell under what conditions, the pain increases/ or alternatively what makes the severity atleast temporarily less.

These are called modalities in homeopathic parlence.

Location, sensation, and modalities, make a symptom. If you can give another symptom not connected to the main complaint, that will be another pointer, and it is called a concomitant symptom.

A medicine given based on a complete symptom, is more likely to be effective, rather than try this, try that approach.

I suggest you wait for the 72 hours told by your homeopath.

He has analysed the case and knows better than all the faceless people you encounter on the internet.
That includes me too.

To Murthy

I respect you, murthy for your long experience. I suggested what in my experience was good to most people. polyporus and kali mur excellently worked for me in cases of chickungunia.

Polyporus 200 one dose most of the time aborted not only fever but the posthumous pain too. Where pain continued after polyporus, Kali Mur 1000 one dose worked well.

You can read the same point(about polyporus) in Dr. Leela's post.

Though the credit must go to
Dr. V. KRISHNAMURTHY
(Specialist in Incurable diseases & Terminal Illness)homeopath from chennai for announcing this genus epidemicus in the first place.

if you have more doubt about the choice of kali mur:

Please See Calvin B. Knerr's Repertory: Fever, sequelae: Kali-mur.
