swollen foreskin
foreskin is swollen and red on the tip of the penis and there is a pus patch. sensitivity of clothing touching foreskin. suffer from phimosis.please help

This sounds like a good old fashioned case of Balanitis to me, which is a frequent complication of Phimosis.
The key to preventing this is good personal hygiene. Obviously when the foreskin cannot be properley retracted, there is a tendency for bacteria to proliferate on the glans, which is the cause of this condition. The best way to keep the area clean, is to use a tap fitting shower attachment while bathing, and by stretching out the skin of the penis thoroughly 'fill' the foreskin with water so it 'baloons' up, and then let the water drain away. Repeat this a few times, and daily. The addition of a mild antiseptic will also help to resolve the condition.
Regarding remedies, these are really unecessary unless the condition does not resolve itself by following the above method, which I has worked in every case I have seen of this condition.
A pretty graphic answer I'm afraid, but necessary.

Moneymakers last decade
To overcome this occurance, is to just clean the genital area/foreskin? I had this appear 2 days ago, and I've just been taking ibuprofen, drinking lots of water, and of course keeping it clean.
So, overtime the swelling should go back down to normal?

'A review of the scientific literature, however, reveals that the actual effect of circumcision is the destruction of the clinically-demonstated hygienic and immunological properties of the prepuce and intact penis....The higher rate of STDs in circumcised males might well be the result of the loss of preputial immunoprotective structures. The loss of the protective, self-lubricating, mobile, double-layered prepuce exposes the glans penis and meatus to direct friction, abrasion, and trauma. Eyes without eyelids would not be cleaner. Neither is a glans without its prepuce. The surgically externalized and unprotected glans and meatus of the circumcised penis are constantly exposed to abrasion and dirt, making the circumcised penis less hygienic. The circumcised penis is more prone to infection in the first years of life than the intact penis....These factors may explain why circumcised males are more likely than their genitally intact peers to engage in high risk sexual behaviours (such an anal intercourse and active and passive homosexual oral sex) that lead to HIV and other STD infections.'
