we do not know how a 5 month old infant would respond to a particular potency and remedy.

nux vom is the antidote for petroleum and you should keep it handy. in case of any aggravation, you can give just one dose of nux vom 30c.

do not suppress the eczema with the help of steroid creams. once this is suppressed, the disease will manifest in a different form later in his life.

if its getting too acute, start with a dose of PETROLEUM 12C one dose. increase the potency gradually after intervals of 7 days if no improvement is seen. if you see some changes, good or bad, let it stabilise and then repeat the dose.

Dalia, to antidote PETROLEUM i have already told you to keep NUX VOM 30C with you.

you can take three doses of NUX at one hour gap on any one evening.

you will wait for 15 days and then observe your healing. to continue healing, start PETROLEUM 30C again. this time you will take 6 doses of PETROLEUM 30C in 4 hours interval and then stop.

Hello, it has been 15 days now. Actually I couldn't obtain Nux vom fast enough so I antidoted it by mint & camphor and the aggravation went away so I'm sure it worked. Is that alright?

When you said take 6 doses of Petroleum in 4 hours interval, did you mean taking 6 doses within 4 hours, or 6 doses with 4 hours between each of them? Do I stop as soon as theres aggravation or continue the 6 doses. I seem to be pretty sensitive to remedies so might aggravate before that.

Also as u know from before I have only D potency do I take that in the same way as I would 30c?

Dalia last decade
first tell us whats the condition of the eczema now. is it better than before?

yes, you can take PETROLEUM 30D instead of 30c.

take 6 doses and keep 4 hours between each dose.

if you think you are sensitive, you have to stop the remedy if you see any aggravation. if you dont see any aggravation, take all six doses.

wait for 10 days and come back to me with the result.

After the aggravation went away which took around 2-3 days then the eczema became even better but then gradually started to become worse again. Now it is like it was before the aggravation, which is very bad but not so extremely as it was when aggravated.

Also now I noticed that I am better with warmth (such as when I am washing dishes in hot water wearing gloves). I noticed this just from some week ago.

Dalia last decade
I took the remedy, had to take all the 6 doses because there was no aggravation. Then one day after that it became a little bit worse but I am not sure this was aggravation. I am really confused, the eczema is in very bad state, added to that I feel extremely cold all of the time and I am very sensitive to open air. It is now 7 days after taking the remedy and it doesn't seem to work at all. What should I do?

Ok maybe it's good because some things have changed during the course of the treatment. Here are the answers:

Patient ID: Dalia
Sex: F
Age: 20ies

Please answer the following questions in a descriptive manner after careful analysis and recollection of previous experiences and happenings.

1. Describe your main suffering?
Contact eczema on both hands. It is dry, rough, colorless, cracking everywhere (not only at the bends of the fingers), looking aged, the fingers are locked in a bent position and stretching it out will make the fingernails become white and the skin cracking and bleeding.

2. What other physical sufferings do you have in your body?
Great hair loss after birth of second baby (no anemia), mild scoliosis (upper right side), am always cold even though others say it's warm, near sighted.

3. What mental sufferings / feelings do you have associated with your physical sufferings? I am loosing patience and becoming angry and irritated.

4. What exactly do you feel when you are at your worst?
It is impossible to function normally because I can't bend my fingers or touch fabrics especially synthetic ones.

5. When did it all start? Can you connect it to any past event or disease?
Had mild atopic dermatitis as a baby. The contact dermatitis started a few years ago after using dishwashing detergent. It was a few months after the birth of my first baby. I took petidine with the delivery, and then anti inflammatory for episiotomy wound.

6. Which time of the day you are worst? No particular time.

7. What are the things which aggravate your suffering and which are those which ameliorate the same?
Worse with washing, cold weather and open air
Better with warmth (such as when washing dishes with gloves in hot water)

8. Do your think your sufferings have relation to any external stimuli (like, change of place) or any internal biological changes in the body, like, menses (in females)?

9. When do you feel better, during hot weather or cold weather, humid or dry weather?
The eczema is worse after moving from a country which has mild winters and hot summers and almost no rain to a country with mild summers and cold winters and a lot of rain.
10. Describe your general mental set up? Are you Moody, Arrogant, Mild, Agreeable Changeable, Nervous, Suspicious, Easily offended, Quiet, Arguing, Irritating, Lazy etc.
Easily angered, argumentative, very adaptable to new situations, good intellect but poor memory and lack of drive, lazy, slow, does not like to work, was very shy as a child. Now I love children and the periods of pregnancy and breastfeeding.

- How do you feel before or during a thunderstorm?
I feel happy and calm

- Do you like being consoled during your tough times?
Yes by immediate family

- Are you sensitive to external stimuli like smell, noise, light etc?
Sensitive to sunlight, get headache from strong perfumes

- Do you have any typical habit or gesture like nail biting, causeless
weeping, talking to one self etc?
Imaginary conversations with people in the mind even though they are not there.

- How do you feel about your friends, family, your children and especially your husband / wife?
Love them very much but become angry and irritated of them a lot. Often make hurtful comments which I then regret.

11. What are your fears and do you dream of any situation repeatedly?
Have a fear of choking, if my nose and mouth become covered then I become desperate and think I will stop breathing.

12. What do you crave for in food items and what are your aversions?
Cravings: sugary foods (but have manage to almost completely stop table sugar in the last few months), dairy like milk and cheese, fatty food, cold water
Aversions: cold raw vegetables, hot drinks, sour food to some extent

13. How is your thirst: Less, Normal or Excessive?
Excessive

14. How if your hunger: Less, Normal or Excessive?
Excessive

15. Is there any kind of food which your body can’t stand?
No

16. Is your sweat normal or less or more? Where does it sweat more: Head, Trunk or Limbs?
Normal, trunk.

17. How is your bowel movement and stool type?
Normal, sometimes constipated.

18. How well do you sleep? Do you have a particular posture of sleeping?
Sleep late and wake up late, get around 8-9 hours, sleeps on side covering the head with the blanket (except mouth and nose for the fear of choking that I mentioned earlier).

19. Do you think you are able to satisfy your sexual desires in general?
There is the normal uninterest while breastfeeding so hard to say.

20. Do you have any strange, peculiar or unusual symptom or feelings? How are you different from others?
I can remember minute details of a conversation or incident many years ago (but have a poor short term memory).

21. What medications have been taken earlier by you to treat the diseases and do you have any particular symptom surfacing after the medication?
Have taken a lot of NSAIDs for stomach pain and for post episiotomy. Took very much medication a couple of years ago because I was very ill. Got rubella and dysentery among other things when living in a foreign country so have had quite a lot of antibiotics too. But no steroids for the eczema, only carbamide cream. I should mention I was always using aluminium pots at that time so maybe I had ingested too much heavy metal.

22. What major diseases are running in your family?
Mother rheumatism, asthma. Brother 1 allergies (food coloring, oranges, tomatoes), brother 2 aspergers syndrome. All have near sightedness.

23. Describe, how do you look like? Describe your overall appearance.
Tall, in the lower normal range of weight (was in the upper normal before settling in the foreign country but have lost a great amount (around 15 kgs), fair complexion, dry skin of face and hands, poor posture.

If there's any additional questions just ask.

Dalia,

I have gone through the symptoms thoroughly and have come up again with PETROLEUM.

However, your generals are very close to SEPIA and in fact SEPIA also covers eczema of the hands.

You should not be surpised that SEPIA and PETROLEUM are complementary to each other and thus would intensify each others action.

I would suggest a low potency for the combination.

Thus, you could take PETROLEUM 12D or 30D one dose every day in the morning and SEPIA 30D one dose in the evening.

You have to take it continuously for some days till you experience a change.

As soon as you notice a change, you should stop it. Let the change stabilise and then start again.

I am being very careful with the potency as skin ailments generally show aggravation which i dont want you to have.

I believe this combination will work on you. Please come back after 15 days of taking the remedies.

rishimba last decade
Help! Took one dose of Sepia tonight and the eczema is already aggrataving. What should I do? Stop everything or continue on petroleum tomorrow morning?

Dalia last decade
stop everything.

let the aggravation come down and then you will take PETROLEUM.

this aggravation is a good sign. at least SEPIA is bringing a reaction in you which shows that it could have a potential to cure you finally.

keep in touch.. i am beginning to think you got the right combination of remedies.

rishimba last decade
Thanks for replying. Did you mean to wait for the aggravation to go away and then take just one dose of petroleum? Or start again with the same schedule of petroleum and sepia?

Dalia last decade
after the aggravation is over, wait if it is improving.

if not, you should start the combination of PETROLEUM and SEPIA but this time go for a lower potency of SEPIA.

try PETROLEUM 12D and SEPIA 12D as you have noticed aggravation with 30C.

I'm a bit scared now, I have so strange yellow/orange stains on my hands. It looks like rust. Won't go away with washing. What is happening???
Also the aggravation wouldnt go away (it is 6 days after stopping) so I tried to antidote it with raw garlic & mint yesterday. It was at around the same time or perharps before that which I noticed those peculiar stains. But the stains become more and more. Also I got alot of acne in my face. What is this?

Dalia last decade
i really cant relate these yellow and orange stains to anything now. i got to refer some books if its something to do with petroleum or sepia.

but you can play safe by taking a few doses of NUX VOM 30C and wait for some days.

dont worry about the acne.. i thing this is related to sepia and would soon go off.

I was thinking about the treatment period since I first started the remedies, and I can say that the time I was feeling most well was after the first dose of Petroleum 30. Then as you might remember I tried 200 but it was severely aggravated. So I'm thinking that I should go with Petroleum 30 again. I think Sepia is not quite right for me. Also it just doesn't seem like me when I read about it. And 30 was not too high because the aggravation went away within the normal 2-3 days. So I think maybe 12 would not be effective. I am thinking that I should wait a few days until Sepia is out of the system and then take 1-6 doses of Petroleum 30 ever 4 hours until I see aggravation and then wait for 10 days like we said before. What is your opinion of that?

Dalia last decade
alright, just go for PETROLEUM 30D but dont take it every four hours.

take just once a day in the morning and continue it for several days.

this will probably not bring any aggravation and would gradually give the cure.

rishimba last decade
Ok but how long do I need to wait before starting this? Or can I start immediately?

Dalia last decade
start immediately...

i hope you have not taken anything except petroleum and sepia in the last 20 days.

they both are compatible to each other and so there is no problem.

rishimba last decade
I took Petroleum for 5 days then it did bring on aggravation. When the aggravation went away the eczema improved a great deal in such that practically all the cuts have healed and I am able to bend the fingers. But the skin is still very dry and aged. I waited for about 3 days to see if it would continue to improve but it didnt. What can I do now? Repeat the same course again?
Thank you for your patience with my case.

Dalia last decade
we do not want aggravation any more. whatever good has been done could well be reversed.

take PETROLEUM 30D once in two days for some days till you see a change again.

stop the remedy if you see any aggravation. if you see any improvement, recuce it to once in three days.

we have to go very slow and show a lot of patience at this stage.

rishimba last decade
I had massive problems with eczema where my hands broke out in blisters, then dried up, cracked and bled. Dozens of specialists tried to treat me with UV lights, alcohol, and other things that made things worse.

It was later discovered that contact with highly acidic foods -- especially citrus fruits -- would accelerate the condition. Lots of detergents that dry the skin out also made things bad. Anyways, here's my cure:

Bath the affected areas in very warm/almost hot water. Soak in the water until the skin almost shrivels, and/or the water is cold. Probably about 15 minutes.

It is helpful if you have some baby oil in the water, or 'Fa' brand is even better.

After you come out from the water, PAT the affected area dry, but not completely dry. You want the skin to be moist.

Now, you're going to 'seal' in the moisture. Cover the area with petroleum jelly. White petroleum is okay, but I have found yellow to be better... don't ask me why.

If it is REALLY bad, I have had a prescription of betamethasone 0.1% mixed into an ointment base (petroleum jelly again), which is a steriod. Other steriods did NOT work for me and in fact often worsened the condition.

Hope this helps!

I took 2 doses then it just barely started to aggravate. I thought take no risks and stop. But then it continued to aggravate and now it's 5 days after stopping and it's still severely aggravated. I'm thinking I have to antidote. What do you think?

Dalia last decade
yes, you can take 2 doses of nux vom 30c or lower potency at a hours gap.

please dont take any remedy for the next two weeks.
