I am looking for the consitutional characteristics of a phosphorus person, not of the remedy itself.

Do you mean just the mind characteristics? Here are the keynotes from Morrison's Desktop Guide.
Open,bright, excitable, suggestible, anxious patients. Anxiety when alone; ameliorated in company. Fears: Alone.Death. Dark and especially Thunderstorms (used it for my dog for this and she stopped trembling). Think something bad will happen.
Sympathetic. Dependent on the physician. Easily reassured. Gullible. Clairvoyant. May answer slowly. May startle easily.
Poor Boundaries...meaning easily influenced.
Please understand some of these things can apply to many people and you should match several of the physical symptoms also.
