strep b during delivery

I am pregnant and this is my second child. With my first, I had very good health insurance which paid for my midwives. I was able to ask questions and receive assistance using herbal remedies if my culture for strep B or anything else had come out positive. I am strongly against the use of antibiotics.....except when warranted by life/death situations. what are the risk factors of having strep b and not accepting the antibiotics. I am having to use the health depsrtment for ob care due to our current financial situation. So, I have had to be my own advocate with no help and a lot of grief from the physicians.
