URGENT - not enough lactation
Hello !I'm nursing my 30 days old boy. In the afternoon and evening after 5 p.m.) I feel that he is still hungry after nursing. It takes only 2 hours before he gets hungry and in the morning he sleeps 3 and half even 4 hours without getting hungry.
Please, give me an advise how can I encrease lactation.
Friends told me that I can take RICINUS COMMUNIS. Will it help or is there any better remedy?
Thank you in advance.

I would reccommend that you contact a La Leche League Leader. They will assure you that many babies nurse in spurts. Your little one may want to nurse more often in the evening for numerous reasons. Some babies like to nurse for comfort and not because they are hungry. A four week old baby will definitly want to begin building a supply for his/her next growth spurt. Limit pacifier (if any) and nurse your little one any other time you feel he/she has the desire to do so.
The only thing I know from experience to increase your milk supply is to take the herb fenugreek in capsule form.
But find a La Leche League in your area and get their opinion also:) You can find one by going to www.lalecheleague.org and you will find them all over the world!!
Good luck and if you have additional questions email me at skybrink@iglide.net

Hi danii,
Does your baby seem OK? i.e. is he chubby the way babies are supposed to be, or does he look drawn and skinny?
If he's chubby, you have nothing at all to worry about, if he's a bit skinny, you should get this sorted as soon as possible.
