Desire for change

In the rubric 'desire for change' there are: bry(2), cham(1), hep(1), sep(1) and tub(1).

Why isn't calc-p in that rubric and maybe more remedies???

I'm looking for a remedy that is easily bored. Any ideas?

Thanks.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Dear Ellen:
When you look for a symptom in the repertory, you can find a certain number of remedies, with a value. This means that this remedy has been proved and produced these symptoms. Depending on the grade number that means this remedy produced this symptoms with more clearity and in more provers.
Why Calc. Phosp is not in this rubric? Easy. It doesn't appear because Calc. Phosp. doesn't produces this symptom.
Anyway, please, if you need to find your remedy for some ailment, you can't attend only to ONE symptom. You need at least three or more symptoms from different organs or body parts. Prescribing attending only one symptom increases the possibilities to fault.

Hi Andrés,

I'm familiar with how the repertory works. And was not building a case on just one symptom.

But calc-p is easily bored and has definitely a desire for change according to Synoptic Materia Medica (Vermeulen), Desktop guide (Morrison). Which is logical of one is easily bored and discontented.

Calc p is in the rubric 'desire to travel'. Which is a bit like desire for change.

But I was looking for a remedy that is easily bored, like calc-p or tub.

So the question still stands: any more remedies who are easily bored?

Dear Ellenbee:
Sorry me for the explanation before, but I don't know you were familiar with the repertory. In my opinion, this desire of change or changes comes from a turberculinic miasmatic background. As you know, Tuberculinic miasm has among its symptoms nervousness, anxiety, desire to travel and impatiente for changing. Because of them, I think that all the remedies who belongs to tuberculinic miasm may produce this symptom.
In the case of Calc Phosp. I think phosphorus is the closest remedy in tuberculinic miasm, because of this, Calc. Phosp. may be adecuated. Perhaps in Hering's Guiding symptoms you can find more information.
Best regards

Hi Deoshlok,

Thank you for copy pasting!
That second rubric is bigger than in my repertory. The first rubric that you used is another symptom: desires change. That means that what the person desires changes (from moment to moment). And what I meant was the second rubric you used: a desire fór change. That's something different...

Thank you Andrés for your reply, I was thinking along that line too. I think this person needs a tuberculinic remedy. I was thinking: this person has reacted to several remedies and they have benefitted, but it seems as if the whole system is bored with the remedy after a while. Has something like: get on with it! Next!
This is something which is felt by the person to. Has reacted best to carc of all remedies up to now and I saw carc is in the rubric deoshlok copied, so maybe carc is indicated again...

I'll look into the tub miasm remedies also.
