Hello, just wanted to give an update. It been one week after my son took the remedy. I would say there are no changes in his mental and physical states. Please let me know if I need to provide more information on anything. Once again I really appreciate you helping us!!!

Repeat the same dosage with Pulsatilla 200c (three doses in one day) this time and let me know in 1 week.

Hmm...can you describe his temperament to me before this problem got really worse ?

And, was he really talented or creative ?

Also, tell me if the primary feeling was that of fear when he had some altercation at school ?

At school he was quite, I think that's the reason why his teachers liked him. Before he turned 13 he had a couple of school friends. He was more active at home. But he usually didn't complain much and kept his feelings inside ('like a real boy').
Actually his teachers commented on his ability to paint and write. I don't know if it would be qualified as 'really talented' though. But he did a few very good paintings and he wrote a poem that was selected for the school play when he was 12 or so. Even now his English teachers are happy with his writing even though he can hardly write anything and read anything because of the constant obsessions and compulsions.
I would say he was definitely afraid (the feeling of fear) when he had that incident at school. But some of the symptoms were present even before that incident.
I am not sure if it's important, but I thought I would mention that he has the EBV virus when he was very little. It was pretty bad and at some point I was scared if he is going to make it. Many years later he had a blood test done and it showed the effects (the extremely elevated level of something). Also his MRI showed the beginning stages of encephalitis that possibly occurred while he was sick with the virus.
Another thing I wanted to mention is there are cancer occurrences in the family (his grandmother and his grandfather).
Thank you!!!

Hmm...please answer these questions:

1/. Is the patient very profoundly affected by thunderstorms, and other natural phenomenon?
2/. Does the patient have a 'cafe au lait' (milky coffee) type colour to their complexion?
3/. Is the patient very emotional, and particularly, empathic towards others? Do they worry over relatives etc?
4/. Is the patient very independent? Obstinate? Are they very sensitive to reprimand?

5/. Is the patient VERY profoundly affected by music? Is there a great love of dancing, and keen sense of rythm?

6/. Do they feel as if they have suffered from some kind of great loss?

7./) Does he have some what of an eye for detail especially when it comes to sense of beauty and is very creative?

1/. Is the patient very profoundly affected by thunderstorms, and other natural phenomenon?
----- He is not afraid of thunderstorms and thunderstorms do not make him feel any different, so I would say he is not affected by them or other natural conditions.
2/. Does the patient have a 'cafe au lait' (milky coffee) type colour to their complexion?
----- He is pale and he is not tanning easily, so I would say yes here.
3/. Is the patient very emotional, and particularly, empathic towards others? Do they worry over relatives etc?
---- Not at all. He is not emotional with words and he is not emotional with the behavior. I would say no to this one.
4/. Is the patient very independent? Obstinate? Are they very sensitive to reprimand?
---- He is not independent at all. He is very dependent and can not imagine to be on his own. He is sensitive to reprimand though.

5/. Is the patient VERY profoundly affected by music? Is there a great love of dancing, and keen sense of rhythm?
---- He likes some music, I would not say he is 'VERY profoundly' affected by it. He does not care about dancing. It's a no here.

6/. Do they feel as if they have suffered from some kind of great loss?
---- He feels extremely unfortunate having the mental disorder and his physical illness (cystic acne, sweaty palms). But he does not feel like he lost somebody.

7./) Does he have some what of an eye for detail especially when it comes to sense of beauty and is very creative?
---- Maybe there is something there. He is probably creative, I am not sure about 'very' creative.

Okay, this is going to be a prescription based on scarce indications but on the assumption that he has acquired his OCD from the EBV virus. I think it is worth trying to follow this approach.

3 doses of Carcinosin 200C.

The dosing procedure remains same as before.

Report status in 1 week.

Thank you very much! I'll place the order right away.

Dr. Sameer, is it ok for my son to start the medication while we continue the homeopathic treatment? I worry that in his current condition he wouldn't be able to go back to school. His neurologist prescribed Luvox for him, and we probably should give it a try at least on a temporary basis until we find the right remedy for him. I wanted to check with you first though. Thanks!

BlackSea last decade
Can you please wait for a couple of weeks if possible.
Atleast wait for the response to Carcinosin.

Once started on the allopathic medicine, it will be very difficult to get him off it, and the disease gets muddled with the artificial dissimilar disease created by the allopathic medicine.

sameervermani last decade
We'll wait for the response to Carnosin. Thanks for the advice!

BlackSea last decade
Hello Dr. Sameer, we waited for a week but there were no changes in my son's condition. I keep wondering if there is something in our environment or in his system that might prevent the homeopathic remedies from working in his case. He is at home the day he takes the remedy; no coffee, chocolate and spicy food, no eating/drinking 1 hour before and after each dosage; no par fume, etc. But who knows if there is something else that keeps neutralizing the possible effect.

In his current condition he can hardly function. He tried antidepressant Zoloft before for 6 months and it didn't work at all, so we'll see what Luvox would do. At this point I am trying anything and everything just to make him feel at least a little better so he can go back to school.

If you suggest to continue trying the homeopathic remedies while he is taking a bunch of pills, could you please let us know what our next step should be? Otherwise we can wait a little while. Thanks a again for all your help!

Hmm.. since all the constitutional medicines I could see as indicated have failed, I would recommend a SINGLE dose of

Medorrhinum 1M

2 pellets dissolved directly on the tongue is the dose.

Wait for 5 days after this, and report status.

Will do. Thank you!!!

Hello Dr. Sameer. Just wanted to give an update: so far there is no improvement in my son's condition. If anything he says he might be feeling a little worse, but it could be because school started. Do you think we should keep trying?

So far the medication is not working for him either (it's only been 3 weeks though). He also took the antibiotics for his cystic acne because it's out of control, but no changes there as well.

Just want to thank you again for all your efforts!

Hi BlackSea,

I am running out of ideas now, to be frank.

However if you wish, we can keep trying with anti-sycotic medicines, in the hope that something will evoke a favourable response.

Argentum Nitricum , 3 doses of 200c on a single day would be the next thing to try.

Hi BlackSea
Here is another treatment that you might try.
It is called Kundalini Yoga Meditation and has been proven highly effective in the treatment of OCD.
You can learn more the web, please google 'theinternetyogi and kundalini yoga'

It may seem a bit strange to begin with, but it can be very effective
