Good news.

Wait for 3 days before repeating.

With split water doses there is no need to wait.

The beauty with this method of administration is that the patient can continue the medicine even after getting some amelioation, till the problem is totally resolved.

This is made possible, as we are increasing the potency slightly before giving each dose, by thoroughly shaking it.

So, go ahead and use it as told.

Follow Dr. Murthy's advice. He has good expertize on split doses formula.

Mr. Murthy,

I have a questuion here.

When the medicine is put in split doses, It is that its potency gets increased?

Rajendra last decade
The potency increases slightly by shaking/succussing/mixing it more number of times than done previously.

I find all the three methods effective.

It is possible only if you use water as a medium for dissolving the pellets/liquid medicine.

Perhaps we can say that a 30c becomes 30.001 c, then 30.002 c etc.

Even this subtle change is enough to make the vital force accept the medicine without any complications.

Unchanged dry doses may cause proving/bring on accessory symptoms/aggravate too much.

Of late, I use only split doses with all my patients and the results are excellant, provided my remedy choice is correct.

Even now, I miss the correct remedy in 20% of the cases, but the split dose atleast will not harm them, if not helpful.

mr. murthy,

when we make globules from the lequid, it is hardly about 5-7 drops are put in about 60 globules.

there are smaller globules which are about 250 in a dram bottle. in this also about 7 drops of medicine is sufficient.

if in about 1/4 of teaspoonful of sugar of milk we put 1 small globules from this 250 globules and crush this globule in the powder. this becomes one dose.

we see that there is hardly any medicine left in the globule's prepared powder and i have seen it is more effective.

it is more effective then what we have been giving one drop in one spoon of water.

the idea of giving potentized medicine in as little quantity as possibleas and it works better.

is it not better way to the shaking/succussing/mixing ?

this way the quantity of medicine goes in the body is the least and thus least harmful.

Rajendra last decade
That is nothing but giving a dry dose. In such cases you can't repeat the medicine until it's action is completed.

If you want to repeat the medicine you have to step up the potency, however small it may be.

It can be done with water doses. It is not possible with dry doses.

Dear Gavini,

This is to report the progress after you advised to continue wet dose of Rhus Tox 200 on Sep 20.

The pain has almost gone as reported before but she is not able to lift her hand above her shoulder. So the condition remains almost the same.

Please advice for future course of action.

Thanks in advance.

O.K.

Stop the medicine, if there is no further improvement.

What happens when she tries to lift the hand above her shoulder?

Does it pain?

Murthy

The medicine has been stopped for more than 8 days now. As already stated the pain has totally gone. Now the problem remains is of lifting the hand. She is still not able to lift till her head and stops till her shoulder.

Please advice further.

VAISHDW2 last decade
Let us try Dr.Deoshlok's prescription for a week. Report after a week.

'Now the problem remains is of lifting the hand. She is still not able to lift till her head and stops till her shoulder.'

Mild physical arm movement exercises of hand is necessary.

'Sulphur' 200 (one dose after taking bath be given as an inter-current remedy.

Thereafter wait for theree days and report.

Rajendra last decade
Dear Rajendra

Even intercurrent remedies are to be chosen on signs and symptoms.

What are the indications on which you chose sulphur?

I endorsed the prescription of causticum as it is a prominent medicine for 'paralysis' like symptoms.

Please don't get misled by the generally used meaning of the word 'paralysis', which is used normally to denote a graver disease. It literally means

'Loss of the ability to move a body part'

Murthy

gavinimurthy last decade
Apart from acting as a remedy to activate the function of the earlier remedy the 'Sulphur' is also indicated for :-

'Drawing and tearing in arms and hands'

When there was improvement from the erlier remedy and it is stopped now there is need of some Constitutional remedy.

Sulphur is generally indicated in such situations.

Even in the summary that you drew through Kent's Software and depicted above on 2007-08-13 Sulphur is Grade 2.
Pl. check.

Causticum is no where there in your earlier summary even.

Rajendra last decade
Dear Rajendra

That summary was for 'pain while rising the arm'. Now that is cured.

The present symptom is

'inability to rise the arm beyond shoulder level'. There is no pain involved now.

Try to understand the difference between these two rubrics.

The previous remedy has acted for the condition for which it was prescribed, and your contention that

''Sulphur' is also indicated for :-

'Drawing and tearing in arms and hands'

is not valid as there is no pain now.

The assumption that 'the impovement from the previous remedy is stopped now' is also not correct for the reasons above mentioned.

........

Is the inability to lift without pain. Meaning that if she will lift even with some support there will not be any pain. If so this is a sort of paralytic condition and to be tried likewise.

Patient has to confirm. We cannot imagine it.

Rajendra last decade
That is a different aspect altogether. If some body lifts her hand forcibly, she may or may not get pain.

Even if she has pain if some body tries to force it, causticum is still indicated as it has got that sort of pain too.

Murthy

gavinimurthy last decade
For that we have to assess whether there is numbness, or tingling or Rheumatism or Arthraitic effect.
