The ABC Homeopathy Forum

A question Page 4 of 5

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Hello Karen (Consider - this).

....the thread that you posted got extremely polluted with lots of things.

In the limited period I have at my disposal to attend to ABC Forum, I was unable to do more for you.

Anyway, the correct way is to continue the med even after you see improvement.

If you are using the med three times a day, reduce to twice a day and after a week (say) make it once a day.

Second rule is....which is applicable to you now.....when a particular potency of a med (LEDUM in your case) stops giving benefit anymore.....move to the next higher potency.

In your case move to LEDUM 200.....but just one dose per day for a week. Then make it one dose twice a week and so on.

You could have posted a SOS on my e-mail id.

Best,

Orume !

4% ofthe brain functions in concious thinking and the additional 96% functions in sub-concious thinking....this has been discovered by Science !

Although , there were beliefs (correctly)...that the sub-concious has much greater power and reach than the concious.....in respect of we humans.

Read the book "Power of the Sub-concious Mind"

(Don't know about animals !).

And another thing

...it is relevant to the discussion going on here.....Science has also discoverd that a man's brain and a women's brain is structured differently!!!!!!

I know there will be loud protests from many quarters....but that is how the Creator has done it!

More about this later......

Have to rush for an important meeting !

Pankaj--

Where has this 4%/96% number been published? Discovered by whom, and when?

Yes, men and women's brains are structured slightly differently, that's something I never contended.

Karen--

You're implying misogyny. Whether you choose to admit it or argue it is your own call.

Why would any medical association want to "squash" homeopathy if it worked? They are in the health field for a reason, to make people healthy. Sure, there are some who are in it for money or ego, but if it were true for all or even a majority, I doubt we would have the longevity and quality of life we do because of them.
The only reason I can see that health professionals would want to get rid of homeopathy was if it was fake and doing more harm than good. If that's the case, then I can't blame them.

Where is the documentation of your claims about homeopathy and the influenza epidemic of 1918?

Honestly, you all make these claims and proclamations, but can you even bother to back them up?

Hi Pankaj,
I didn't know you had an email. Sorry.

My thread may have been
"polluted" but so is this...

I've gone down on the remedy several times and have gotten worse on each occasion.

I think getting worse was related to the ongoing infection which is now retreating since I began taking the Echinacea.

In terms of men's and women's brain... the only difference that I'm aware of is that relating to sex. The male brain has many more connections and nerves than does the female. I have understood this in terms of a woman saying yes or no to a man, while a man must thing of many ways to get her to want to have his children.

My information comes primarily from BBC programs I watched while I lived in England.

Hello Karen,
First about your health.

I think you should take Echinesea quickly to get the infection out of your system fast.

Reg. Man and Women,

There has been scientific research findings which confirm the difference in the structure of a man's brain and a women's brain.

There is research to suggest that a man's brain can concentrate more on a single matter of thought.....where as a women's brain has the capacity to function on a number of thoughts at the same time.

A women is simoultanoeously thinking of the kids, the kitchen, office work etc.etc.

You may have noticed that when men get busy with a working project, they are totally engrossed in it....and forget every thing else....even the surroundings....even if the project is a game of football.

Whilst, a women watching TV will have her mind on the kids, kitchen, next door neighbour friend etc. etc.

May be others visiting the BB have more experience in this and can share their views.

Pressed the ENTER half way through.

contd......

That is why many men turn around an tell the wife after returning from work..."Oh my!.. it was in my mind in the morning when I left for work but I totally forgot about it during the day !"

I don't claim to have said the last word on this. There will be many people who have their own views and experiences on this aspect of life. I am not going to argue ! Wud rather like to hear the views of others.

Best wishes,

Allow me to put in my bit... Orume why do you believe in allopathy.. they have been proved on animals and not on humans like homeopathy.

Also why do people believe in God.. any PROOF of His existence?

Nkjaya last decade
Nkjaya--

Homeopathy has not been proven on anything or anyone as far as I can tell. If you have any proof of it working whatsoever please feel free to tell me where it's been published so I can read it.

Where you got that medical science hasn't been proven on humans I'll never know... that's absurd.

As for God... at least I'm not playing Russian roulette with my life for believing in one God over another, or no God at all. The soul and the afterlife haven't been proven either. But religious belief is a lot different than physical health.

Orume last decade
Pankaj--

You say "scientific proof" but don't provide the proof?

An interesting note would be: How much of the psychological differences between men and women are environmental and how much is genetic?

Women and men are raised differently, which makes a huge impact on their future personalities.

It's an interesting thought. I'm sure I can find something on it somewhere...

But honestly Pankaj, I have no clue why you feel the need to argue about male/female psychology.

Karen, you said: "Orume---...Orume, calling Orume---...Can you hear me????...Orume????...Remember when I asked you to identify where I had ever said 'Hate'???...I need you to show me or apologize for the things you wrote."

No. You implied that doctors and health professionals are intentionally putting women's lives at risk. This is a form of misogyny.

There is no reason for me to apologize to you for your ignorance of what the word means in the context of the conversation.

Your continuation to argue without having an idea of what you are arguing tells me what kind of people believe in homeopathy.

Geez, you treat it like a religion. A religion that plays Russian roulette with your own health.

Orume--
Your overweening devotion to your sense of your superior powers of reasoning is tiresome.

You are the one who said I had said "hate."

But I had not.

Your inability to act with the truth will preclude you from benefitting from homeopathics. You want to argue, not heal.

The context you provide is that you created.

I was talking about women being ignored in large part when they had medical complaints that if brought to a doctor by a man, would not be ignored.

Can you see the difference between heated hating, and cool ignoring?

Do you know what you are arguing about?

Karen--

I have been nothing but honest from word 1 here.

If you choose to believe differently, that's your personal choice, and no one can stop you.

Again, your inability to understand the meaning of the word in context is amazing. You're either unable to understand what context is, or you're simply nitpicking via inflexible dictionary definition to make yourself feel good. Enjoy, because I couldn't care less.

So, I return your question to you, "Do you even know what you are arguing about?"

Orume last decade
Hi Orume,
You created a context to your suiting.
It was not my context.

Your context reflected your thinking.

You seem unable to comprehend my thinking.

As a matter of fact, it was I who asked you if you knew what you were arguing about.

If you will scroll back, you will see that this is the case.

What you wrote, was the following, "Your continuation to argue without having an idea of what you are arguing tells me what kind of people believe in homeopathy."

I point this out because you did not ask, you accused and drew unfounded conclusions.

: )

If you did post a that question earlier, and I missed it, please would you show me where?

Karen--

The context which you gave, in which I used the word "misogyny," was quite appropriate. Your backpedaling does not change that.

And if you scroll back, you'll see I returned your question to you. Please read my posts fully before responding.

Inappropriate, actually.

Ignoring something is not the same as hating it.

But I told you that already.

I realized a moment ago while I was making ginger tea, that you appear to believe that homeopathy is a placebo: that sometimes when people believe, it works.

In this belief, if indeed it is your belief, you are quite wrong.

I totally believed in Preparation H. But it didn't work.

I tried Hamemalis because I figured it couldn't hurt. It worked and I've never had a hemrroid in the dozen plus years since.

I went to the healer that Shirley MacLaine wrote about in one of her books. The healer who threw light. I so totally did not believe. I so wanted him to spend more time on my friend, who had cancer and who did believe. but he sent huge amounts of light my way, which I was sure he was creating with a flash bulb system -- Only it worked. I was healed, unbeliever that I was.

I don't know about healers.

But I do know that homeopathy is an old practice of medicine that is very cheap to use and that is very effective.

(I only went to the healer because my friend had had her lumph nodes out and couldn't drive. So I drove her.)

I really hope you have a great Thanksgiving.

Orume now you are sounding like a baby who says i dont believe in this so you must convince me. Why should the rest of the world convince you. As for homeopathy proving, please read the life of hahnemann and you will know how he proved the medicines by putting himself and his wife in great risk.
Also Hering and the other great provers proved the medicines. Also homeopathy has helped many people, so dont just junk it. Your belief is yours and dont impose on others.
Also i feel that you should show respect to elders like Karen. You must know that is is the older generation which brought us where we are today. So please keep your views to yourself. It seems you are set in your belief and want to take our your frustrations on people through net.

maya_hari last decade
Maya hari-

The rest of the world shouldn't convince me. I came here asking one question, which became more questions, which became more questions. No one will answer them, they just say "Have faith." Why should I have faith in a medicine? I would rather know than need faith.

From what I can see, the "provings" aren't proof of anything. They were not controlled experiments. How am I to know if on the day Hahnemann took arnica he didn't have a fever already (like from the influenza virus)? We don't.

Respect is earned, not required.

There is no need for me to keep my views to myself. If you can't handle what I say, don't read it. No one is forcing you to read this thread.

As for being "set in my belief"... well, I wasn't until I spent a little time here.

Hi all

Leave this lady alone.Don't you people have anything better to do than to answer a person, who is determined not to get convinced?

Murthy

bandarbabu2000 last decade
Orume !

Why should every one use Homeopathy as a means of getting well?

After all The Creator created diversity as a rule of existence.

There will always be diverse ways of treating dis-ease....so if you don't get convinced it is okay.

Like Murthy says...to leave you alone.....

..we can agree to disagree with you.

Wish you good luck in your endeavours.
