son's halitosis problem

Hi
My son is 11.9 yrs old.
he has offensive breath most of the time for which i need advise.
he doesn't have thirst. when he drinks it's cold water hates lukewarm or warm water.i feel he drinks less water.
his motion is mostly regular now but stool seems sticky dark brown.
he sleeps with mouth open at night bcos he says he cannot breath thru one nostril seems like it is blocked. i had his nose xray done a year or two ago. it was ok. no breathing trouble otherwise.
when he was a baby he was given some combination homeo medicine two of which were puls and sambucus his breathing and restless sleep had considerably improved with that. his blocked nose has been a problem since young.
on top of his head i see 4-5 grey hair.
he sweats easily and till sometime ago he would sweat a lot on his head during sleep. i have to check how that symptom is now. the pillow would get wet with his sweating head.
often on his lower lip left side he gets a big boil which just subsides by itself.
his nature is good humored, but cries easily, he is not jealous, positive attitude, lazy though,
please ask me more questions if this is not enough, and i look forward to a treatment plan esp for his halitosis and grey hair.
thanks and regards

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Does he have smelly feet, is he stubborn.
Does the sweat stain the pillow. Does it smell sour.
Does he like boiled eggs- or bacon rinds.
Is he plump or skinny.
Any dry skin/itching . can he wear wollen garments.
Any warts , moles, birthmarks?.
Any vaccinations?
Did he ever sleep with his bum in the air?. Or have bluey whites to the eyes.

Sorry - more questions .
Does he get hot feet in bed [not sweaty , just hot]

How soon after waking does he have a bowel motion .
How is his temper - sudden or slow.

Clammy hands and feet , any headaches . Is catarrh gren tinted. nose crusts/scabs.

We may be looking at Sanicula , check that remedy and see if he matches at all.

My son had halitosis issues for a long time, and they may be related to our recent discovery of his nasal polyps. He had an x-ray which revealed something like an infection, but it was indistinct. We had CT scan done, and found severe polyps. These are rare in children, but often associated with cystic fibrosis (CF). Your comments regarding his thick stools and sweat - is sweat very salty?, could also be related to CF. Please ask a doctor about a "sweat test". Usually CF will have shown other symptoms by this age, so don't panic. My son recently had polyp surgery and is doing great - test for CF came back negative - we're very thankful. Good luck to you.

Again we get the enthusiasm for operative measures .

These from a homeopathic point of view , suppress symptoms -- driving them inwards where they can eventually give rise to chronic conditions that are difficult to deal with .

Normally - on this site - we advise against surgical neasures - except as a last resort.

dear passkey
sorry i am looking for medicine but there's so much going on right now this took backseat. anyways please read on for answers to your questions:
i am not sure if his feet get sweaty but he is normally sticking them out of the big heavy blanket. when he was young his scalp would soon start sweating after going to bed so much that the pillow would get wet.but not so more anymore.
generally he sweats a lot and smelly too.
his scalp starts smelling too though he shampoos every other day.
his bowels are now regular in the morning but takes a long time on the.. (i tease him it is is throne)
he's good humored but sometimes quicktempered normally i would say he's slow tempered
he breathes thru mouth at night but in the morning not sure if there is discharge so dont know if it's green tinted.
he picks his nose many times so i wuld think there is dryness or just a habit not scabs maybe just dry crust
thank you

Seems to me it may well be worth trying three doses of Sanicula 30c and wait a week .

To passkey
don't believe i was encouraging surgery, and certainly not enthused about it. didn't have the option of waiting for a homeopathic cure, as infection was too far advanced and close to brain/eyes. your response assumes too much, and discourages those new to homeopathy.

mickey have no desire to dicourage those interested in Homeopathy !

Only those who consider the surgical option .

Allopaths will always play on fears to encourage people to operate -- it should be a last resort.
