13-year old on-going chest tightness/heaviness

Would sincerely appreciate help for my son who is tall, slim, brown hair and eyes, attactive, does well in school and is very mature for his age. Has been told he has allergies, asthma symptoms, tightness in chest, worse at night when he lies down, no cough or expectorant though with the chest tightness. He's had an x-ray due to a raised ribcage on left-side, but no sign of it affecting organs, may be due to slight scoliosis. A few years ago walking pneumonia was wrongly diagnosed as ashtma and when ever he laid in bed he couldn't breath, had to sleep sitting up.
Chronic snuffles and red eyes. Blackheads on nose. White marks in fingernails and some ridging. Has very healthy wholefood diet. Pain in stomach with cold milk though so avoid dairy often.
He loves to run cross-country but exertion brings out difficulty breathing so that he must use a puffer but he doesn't want to hae to use puffer. Has had grief in past from losses. Also cannot see distant objects well and wears glasses for that. He wants to be able to rid of his glasses and rid of the constricted feelign in his chest, breath well.

Very sorry for the delay in getting back to you, but had computer problems.

My son says his main suffering is tight chest and difficulting breathing when running or physcial exertion.

His other physical suffering is that he has deminished eyesight in his left eye with blurriness and he finds that he sees color better in the right eye although blurry yet his vision is clearer in his left eye.

He says he feels anxiety fear when he cannot breath.
Steriods ouffers do relieve it.

The breathing problem did seem to start some months after a Tetnus shot because he cut his foot at a beach and needed stithces, this was a very traumatic event for him -- it was painful getting stitches in his foot.
He recalls that his eyesight deminished after his cousin died tragically in a motor vehicle accident.

He was hospitalized for pneumonia when 3 and had heavy antibiotics then and steriods and antibiotics for an undiagnosed walking pneumonia two years ago...after the breaething problems started after the cut foot and immuniations shot.

He says his eyes are worse at night when tired and his lungs are worse lying down or after exertion.

I notice his eyes have red lines through them most times, no clear eye whites most of the time.

Computer and reading the board at school seem to tire his eyes, they sight is better with glasses.

He prefers hot, dry weather ...

He is a good student, dedicated, responsible, mature for his age, tall, brunette and slender. People like him but he chooses his friends carefully and can sometimes be easily offended. Scary movies bother him and he plays bad events over in his mind and wants company when disturbed by frightening events. He is intuitive at times. And says he fears things that are out of his control.

He says he craves fresh steamed clams and bacon. Thirst appears normal. Hunger seems normal. Milk sometimes gives him a belly ache. He says he sweats more on his arms and things his sweat is normal.

He has 1 and sometiems 2 bowel movements per day which are usually formed and light brown.

He tends partially on his left side and stomach, facing the doorway of his room usually when he is trying to fall asleep. I often find him on his back through the night, he sometimes snores and often grinds his teeth through the night.

He was a preterm baby (11 weeks) and was incubated for 2 months. As such, he had double hernia surgery before they allowed him to leave the hospital, several times of antibiotics through the years for pneumonia at 3 months and systemic steriods and antibiotics for an undiagnosed pnemonia in the right lung two years ago.

He doesn't have a girl friend at this time. As an only child he has learned to amuse himself and loves the outdoors.

We have a history of sleep apnea, alcholism, heart disease and diabetis from biological family grandparents and great grand parents.

Mother suffered chronic fatigue and pain for two years.

He bites his nails, their are verticle ridges on them.

He loves to play cards with his mother and father ... family together although much stress around work, uncertainty.

I hope this is helpful in you helping him

please give him PHOSPHORUS 200C three doses on a single day at 6 hours interval.

all doses in empty stomach and no food or water one hour before or after the doses.

one dose would be 3 drops in some 10 ml of water.

Please, what do you think I should do before our day is over, it's 5:35 .. another dose of Phosphorous 200C? After he runs for a few minutes when he breathes his chest sinks inward under the ribcage.

rugosarose last decade
yes, if he had these exact symptoms earlier, you might as well give him the third dose.

please wait for a week and give me the feedback.

if phos doesnt evoke any reaction, i will retake the case.

Hello Rishimba, just wondering if you're back from your trip?

My 13-year old still gets tight chested and his chest gets sunken in when he breathes after sprinting and running hard....he loves to run and has won races for his age and wants to run more but wants to run without having to use a puffer because he gets undesirable reactions to the puffer. Also, remember his eyes require glasses f or long-distance seeing that he was wondering if he could rid of with some of your help.

I too have the same problem and I got it when I was about 14 years old. I too run xcountry and get the whole tight chest and I have about the same bio as the 13 year old. A way that I temperaly get rid of it is I take deep breaths and pretend im breathing out the tightness or I take my finger on my chest and drag it off of my body prettinding im taking it out of me. I guess it is more of a mental cure and it is only a tempuary cure but it seems to be better than nothing.
