Dr. Joe De Livera - Natural GERD Remedy Help Please

Hi Dr. Joe Livera,
I am a 34yr old male living in the US. I am 5'9' and weigh 135lbs. I was diagnosed with GERD acid reflux when I was about 22. I've been on various PPI prescriptions since that time taking them every day. Most recently on Prilosec, but I've taken Prevacid, Nexium, Protonix, etc, depending on how they were working and what my insurance covered. At one time I was diagnosed with a small patch of Barretts Esophagus. However at my last scope a couple years ago, none was found and the doctor said my esophagus looked fine. I’ve read that taking ppi’s long-term can make your body not digest food as well or absorb nutrients and vitamins as well. And these PPI’s weren’t initially intended for long term use. They can also make your body addicted to them, lead to major acid rebound when trying to stop, and cause other issues like headaches, diarrhea, etc. And I’ve seen your notes that they can also potentially lead to mental disorders as well.
Based on internet research and with a desire to see my body healed and function as it was created without the need for a prescription, I am now working toward a natural remedy and one month ago I quit my medication and started taking the following:

I tried to paste links in for all of these and for the Nat Phos 6x and Arnica I was looking at, but the forum wouldn’t allow me to do that. I have them available though, if you want to see them.

Acidophilus with Enzymes (1 with breakfast, 1 with lunch) - Wakunaga - Kyolic, Kyo Dophilus with Enzymes
*I am trying a new enzyme/probiotic formula beginning tomorrow at this same dosage - Rainbow Light, Advanced Enzyme Optima with Prebiotics & Probiotics

licorice root – (1 with every meal and sometimes in between if the heartburn gets severe) - Now Foods, Licorice Root, 450 mg
*I am trying a new licorice formula beginning tomorrow at this same dosage - Nature's Plus, Herbal Actives, Licorice (DGL), 500 mg

l-glutamine – (1 between breakfast and lunch, 1 before bed) - Now Foods, L-Glutamine Double Strength, 1000 mg

orange peel extract – (1 every other morning before breakfast) - Enzymatic Therapy, Heartburn Free with ROH10 & D-Limonene

During this past month, the heartburn has been moderate at times, sometimes fairly mild, and I still have some severe bouts of heartburn. Overall it’s gone better than I expected, but I still have a significant amount of daily heartburn that sometimes is extremely painful. And I know this process is a big deal and shift for my body in general because the whole digestive process is pivotal to how the body feels. So, as I change that, I’m sure there will be positive and negative effects of cleansing my system, or helping my food processing without ppi medication, and the adjustment my body is now going through in digesting without the prescription. For me, the great thing is my worst days have not been common, and I thought they were going to be more the norm. So if the worst that I’ve felt was an 8 or 9 on a heartburn scale from 1-10, then most days have been around 3-5, with the occasional 7, and quite a few periods of 2-3. I feel like I had only occasional heartburn during the first week and then the next week it got quite a bit worse, then backed off a bit for some days, and now is more like a roller-coaster with more bad days than good.

I've read a lot of your posts online and you seem quite experienced and knowledgeable.

I want to give your nat phos 6x a try along with Arnica (in addition to what I listed above, perhaps gradually eliminating some of the above items).

Here are my main questions:

Nat Phos 6x - I want to make sure I purchase the right thing and when I search for it online there seem to be so many types. Can you give me a link or exact description so that I can see a product online to know exactly what you're talking about? Here’s some that I was looking at:
Hyland's, 10, Nat. Phos. 6X Natrum Phosphoricum 6X HPUS in a base of Lactose, N.F.
Hyland's, NuAge, 10 Nat Phos (Sodium Phosphate) Natrum Phosphoricum 6X HPUS in a base of Lactose NF.
Natrum Phos 6X #10, Hylands Homeopathic Cell Salts

I plan on taking 3 tablets, 3 times daily after meals. Is that right?

Arnica 30c - I want to make sure I purchase the right thing and when I search for it online there seem to be so many types. Can you give me a link or exact description so that I can see a product online to know exactly what you're talking about? Here’s some that I was looking at:

Boericke & Tafel, Arnica Montana 30C, 250 Tablets Active ingredients (HPUS): Arnica montana 30C
Nelson Bach USA, Arnica 30C, 84 Sucrose/Lactose Pillules

I plan on placing 3 tablets into 500ml of spring water, shaking, and then taking 1 teaspoon 4 times daily - before every meal and one before bed. Is that right, and is 30c the correct strength? Some products say 30x and some say 30c. Is there a difference? And I just use those 3 tablets in spring water until that water runs out? I never add any more tablets to the water? That seems like such a low dose compared to taking 1 tablet 4 times daily, so I want to make sure.

Any other advice you have. Thanks for taking time to help me and so many others out.

Blessings to you!

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
To Keith

I note that you have read my posts on this and other Homeopathic Forums on the therapy aka 'Joepathy' I have prescribed to help patients who have been suffering from chronic GERD, and in your case for the last 12 years. I am glad that you have detailed the progress of your disease and the many PPI drugs that you have taken for it and I am relieved to note that you have already stopped taking them as you are only too aware that they can only harm you in the future. It is possible that they may have already harmed you in some manner during the past 12 years of agony that you have suffered in the care of doctors presumably Gastro Enteriologists who have obviously given you the 'works' and you have had the good sense to stop all these drugs and changed over to the various natural products you listed which at least in the short term seems to have given you more relief than you received from the multitude of drugs you used for 12 years.

We can only hope that my therapy will help you to overcome your ailment and that hopefully it will cure you in a few weeks. You may continue to take the various natural products you listed for the moment and add my standard therapy which comprises:

Nat Phos 6x which you listed as Natrum Phos 6X #10, Hylands Homeopathic Cell Salts.
You will take 3-6 tablets immediately after 2 meals and the number of tablets are best regulated by you depending on how you respond to them. You can start with 3 tablets but if you do not notice any relief you can slowly increase your dose to 4 or more up to a maximum of 6. It is possible that you may have some Diarrhoea at this high dosage but you can stop the problem by reducing your intake.

Arnica 30c in the Wet dose a capful taken twice daily. You must order the Liquid Dilution in Ethanol which you can get from Hylands in the smallest pack of around 5ml preferably with a dropper arrangement. The dry lactose pellets are not effective especially for a chronic case such as yours. Arnica is designed to help increase the flow of blood in the body and will soon help to rebuild the damaged tissue in your Esophagus which has been eroded by the gastric juice.

The Wet dose of any Homeopathic remedy is made as follows:

Order the remedy in a 5ml Ethanol pack also referred to as Liquid Dilution in a bottle with a dropper arrangement.
Get a 500ml bottle of Spring Water from the nearest supermarket.
Pour out about 3cm of water from the bottle to leave some airspace.
Insert 3 drops of the remedy into the bottle and shake the bottle hard before you take a capful which is the dose. This is homeopathic succussion and must be done every time before a capful of the bottle is sipped as directed

Nat Phos 6x works by increasing the Peristalsis in the gut thereby ensuring that the build up of Gastric Juice which includes Sulphuric Acid and Digestive Enzymes is prevented from harming your Stomach and your Esophagus which invariably occurs when GERD turns chronic. The PPI's are designed to reduce the flow of acid into the stomach but they cannot be used in the long term as they have, as you have already discovered, lead to the patient being hooked for life to them, with the blessings of Big Pharma. They have also been recently discovered to irreversibly affect the functions of the Brain but strangely enough PPI's are still being prescribed by specialists as they are not aware of the many alternative natural and Homeopathic remedies that can CURE GERD. I note that you have already checked for Barretts Disease which can lead to Cancer and that a subsequent endoscopic examination showed that you were OK.

You will eat small meals to enable your stomach to cope with your food intake without 'back firing' and causing the heartburn that you have suffered from in the past. You may however eat an extra meal if you find that the curtailed intake is insufficient for your needs. You will not sleep for at least 2 hours after dinner to prevent any back flow up the Esophagus when you sleep. You will not eat any fats or other food like red meat which is difficult to digest. Fish is OK as long as it is in top quality either frozen or in ice. No raw salads as they can antidote my therapy. No Chillie hot foods. No Alcohol.

It is understood that you will not take any drugs whatever prescribed by your doctors and I would like you to slowly taper off all the natural products you listed which are really not necessary for you as you will soon realize within the first week of my therapy.

Finally I must advice you to do a daily round of Exercise to sweat it out for at least an hour. This is to create the demand for food and to regulate the normal functions of your body.

Please feel free to address any questions on my therapy and I would like to have your progress report weekly or more often if necessary.

Dear Dr. Joe,
Thank you so much for taking the time to respond to me in such detail and with great care and compassion. I truly do appreciate it. My week has been very hectic and busy and I'm just now having time to respond back. While taking the PPI drugs, I've normally had very little heartburn and been able to eat most anything without trouble (although the major acid things like tomato sauce, chili peppers, etc still can cause some trouble so I've tried to avoid those). The PPI drugs have almost always worked great for me. At times though, it seemed like my body built up a tolerance for them, or the effect of whichever one I was taking would wear off and then I would need to switch (this was usually after a 2-3 year period). This started happening again recently and the Prilosec just wasn't helping like it used to. So I tried Protonix because that was the only other one my insurance would cover. That was definitely worse and even though it helped my symptoms quite a bit, I still had heartburn fairly often, just not severe. So I decided it was time to try something natural, especially after reading concerns about the long-term of effects of PPI drugs.

I'm particularly concerned with the PPI drugs hindering my body's ability to absorb nutrition, and I don't like having to take a prescription for the rest of my life, especially one that completely changes how my body digests food. My hope is to naturally give my body some assistance to do what it was created to do, and digest food with stomach acid that is under control. During this past month while off the PPI drugs, I've also started exercising regulary 3-4 times per week.

I eat fairly healthy. In the past couple years I've cut out dairy, wheat, and for the most part refined sugars (this has helped my stomach health, allergies, immune system, and overall well-being tremendously, and I learned about it through the book The Anti-Inflammation Diet and Recipe Book by Jessica Black). Occasionally I still have wheat or sugar/sweets, but overall not much at all. I eat a lot of vegetables and fruit, chicken and beef. Most of what I eat is cooked from scratch in my house. I do eat salads regularly and I noted you said that eating salads can cause antidote to your therapy. I'll ask about that below in my questions. I have a high metabolism and eat 5-6 times per day, with 3 main meals and 2-3 smaller snacks in between. I don't eat huge amounts, but fairly substantial for a guy my size. I found that if I don't eat like that I can quickly lose weight and not stay as healthy. I have trouble keeping pounds on.

In the past, if I ever forgot to take my PPI prescription or ran out of them, I would usually have 1 day that was tolerable and after that I would be miserable until I got my PPI again. Here are my symptoms that I would face (some of these I am still suffering with now that I've stopped the PPI drugs even though I'm taking other natural remedies - although it is way less severe than if I wasn't taking anything, but at times it has been quite painful in the past month as well):
Symptoms:
*Burping frequently, especially right after meals - sometimes liquid comes up into my mouth. Sometimes this is accompanied with what I can only describe as minor stomach spasms/convulsions where my stomach quivers/flexes and then I burp air and/or liquid.
*Severe heartburn that can last for minutes or hours - chest, throat - upper and lower. Even if I just burped what seemed like air, sometimes that would burn my throat.
*Sometimes the heartburn is so severe it's difficult for me to concentrate and I feel slightly lightheaded/woozy
*Even when taking the PPI drugs, I regularly had uncomfortable gas in my gut, and flatulence that was very stinky and embarrassing, most every afternoon and evening. This is somewhat better since stopping the PPI's and taking acidophilus & enzymes, though it is still an issue. And for years I've tended to have stools that are somewhat loose, usually 3-4 per day (not diarrhea, just loose).
*I've never had much problem with heartburn at night or had it effect my sleep except on rare occasion. I sleep on 2 pillows and since I don't eat right before bed and have a high metabolism, most of my food is partially digested and out of my stomach my the time I go to bed.

As soon as I can order and receive both the Nat Phos and Arnica, I'm going to start on your therapy. Here are my questions for you:

Questions:
1) Nat Phos 6x - It seems that the tablet form only comes with lactose? Am I correct? It would be great if I could find one without lactose as I've cut out dairy, but I would definitely prefer that to trying to carry the liquid with me throughout the day. I'm sure the lactose amount is extremely minimal in each tablet, and I'm not allergic to lactose, it just helps my nasal allergies not to have dairy.
2) Nat Phos 6x - Like I mentioned, I already have trouble with loose bowel movements, so will taking this make me more likely for those to become diarrhea? I'll start with 3 tablets per dose, but just want to prepare myself for what to watch for.
3) Arnica 30c liquid dilution - You said the following: 'Insert 3 drops of the remedy into the bottle and shake the bottle hard before you take a capful which is the dose. This is homeopathic succussion and must be done every time before a capful of the bottle is sipped as directed.' It is somewhat confusing because I don't know what you mean when you say 'This...must be done every time.' Do you mean I shake it every time only (I know you want me to shake it every time, but is that all that you mean)? Or do you mean add 3 drops before every dose and also shake it before every dose? It would be more clear if your sentence read something like 'Shaking the bottle hard is homeopathic succussion and this shaking must be done every time before a capful of the bottle is sipped as directed.'
3) Arnica 30c - I only take one capful twice daily, is this correct? And when should I take each capful (like before breakfast and before dinner, etc)? And do I need to refrigerate this bottle of spring water once the Arnica is in it?
4) You said no raw salads. Just to make sure, this means I can't eat raw lettuce or raw spinach of any type, correct? Does this mean no raw vegetables, or only leafy greans? I need to make sure because I eat raw vegetables regularly. Can you tell me how this works against your therapy? I'm just curious here.

I think that's it for now. It will probably take at week or so before I have the Nat Phos and Arnica in my hands and am able to begin. I will keep you posted. Hopefully our conversations will be helpful to others too.

I sure appreciate your help!

~Keith

Thank you for highlighting the ambiguity in my instructions to shake the remedy bottle every time before a dose is sipped. I had not realized that my instructions could be interpreted to mean that 4 drops of the remedy should also be inserted every time before succussion and the sipping of the dose.

I shall alter my instructions to read as suggested by you to read as follows in future:
'Shaking the bottle hard is homeopathic succussion and this shaking must be done every time before a capful of the bottle is sipped as directed.'

Answers to your questions:

Nat Phos 6x is a Biochemic Cell Salt and although it is marketed in lactose based pellets in common with other Homeopathic remedies, I would doubt very much that the quantity of lactose in a tablet can cause you any allergic response. These tablets are usually about 3mm ø and 2mm in thickness and at the 6x potency the actual presence of the Sodium Phosphate (NaH2PO4) is just 1/1Millionth of the original salt
In any case there is no alternative to this remedy and you can report any negative after effect if it does arise.

The diarrhoea that you mentioned can be a problem as at the higher dosage of over 4 tablets it does tend to cause loose motions and we can only hope that you do not have to go to the high dose to help you to snap out of the vicious circle you suffer from with the PPI's and other natural remedies.

I have helped many patients who were considered as chronic cases of GERD which seemed to be untreatable to get back to normal life and enjoy a meal without the heartburn, puffiness that you are only too well aware of as my therapy is designed to rapidly return the digestive system to which can be termed as standard function and I explained the functions of both the Arnica and the Nat Phos in my last post.

You can take the Arnica 30c thrice daily for the first fortnight and later twice daily to hasten the cure. If you are mail ordering the remedies you can also include the following remedies that you will not use immediately but which may be required later.

Nux Vomica 30c in the standard dry pellets

Ferr Phos 6x Tablets to help with increasing the Oxygenation of the blood to help in the cure.

I have had many cases of patients who presented similar GERD type distress to yours who snapped out of their ailment merely by stopping their intake of raw vegetables and salads. I cannot explain the reason why they were allergic but 2 patients had been suffering for months at the hands of their doctors who could not stop their GERD and diarrhoea. They had been prescribed many expensive drugs and I used my standard therapy and als stopped their intake of raw greens when their response was immediate and dramatic. It is possible that the reason for their distress was the fact that our bodies are not in this age designed to digest the raw chlorophyll and other uncooked components of raw greens and responded in a manner similar to yours.

I do not subscribe to the many theories trotted out to promote the eating of raw greens on the assumption that they are 'good for you'. Those who did so were obviously not aware of the serious damage that this has caused some patients like you. The medical professionals have been taught to accept that raw greens is an integral part of the diet till they encounter a case like yours and are just unable to see the 'wood for the trees'.

You do not need to refrigerate the remedy bottle.

Dear Dr. Joe,
I have now been doing your therapy for 10 days. I started on March 17th. I found the nat phos 6x and the arnica through 1-800homeopathy (1-800-466-3672), and they were so helpful after I had been looking online and making calls to find these products somewhere, especially the arnica in a dropper formula was difficult to find. Here's what I have done for the past 10 days:
Nat Phos 6x - 3 tablets, 3 times daily (3 with each meal).
Arnica - I have a 500ml bottle of water, put about 5 drops in the bottle and shake it every time, taking a small partial mouthful 3 times daily. I got tired of trying to pour a capful and having it spill, so I just take a little sip 3 times daily.

I am also still taking the probiotics with enzymes (Rainbow Light) and dgl licorice and l-glutamine. I have now been ppi prescription-free for 2 months. Here are my observations for just the past 10 days since starting your therapy:

1) I feel like I am having worse heartburn than before your therapy. It's not always severe, but it is more regular. Whereas before, I was having some good days with only minor heartburn (like 2-3 on a scale of 1-10) and some bad moments (like 8-10 on a scale of 1-10), I now am daily having heartburn with about a 5-7. It's like your therapy made my heartburn regular and consistent. Particularly I notice it about 30-60 minutes after eating, and even when I first wake up. Also when my stomach is empty I still have it. It's consistent heartburn every day throughout the day.
2) I am not eating right before bed, nor am I eating unhealthy. I am exercising a couple times per week. It doesn't matter what I eat, I still get heartburn. A bowl of oatmeal, a peanut butter sandwich, eggs, rice, chicken, it always ends up giving me heartburn.
3) I definitely have more gas, stomach indigestion, and loose bowel movements since starting your therapy. Even some episodes of diarrhea. Often it feels like there is something uncomfortable just sitting in my stomach, and my intestines are more gurgly and rumbly. I have more stinky gas (that had been a regular problem before stopping the ppi drugs, then it was going away during my own therapy, and now it is back with the addition of your therapy).
4) I'm persevering right now, but a bit discouraged. I definitely don't want to restart the ppi drugs, but I'm suffering from heartburn regularly still and it is tiring, and it's bad for my esophagus.
5) I'm continuing with your therapy and taking my remedies as well.

Let me know any advice or thoughts you have. Thanks much!

Name of Disease:- GERD, Acid Reflux

Patient Description:-

Cause of your disease / Problem:
(If you don’t know leave it blank)

Period of Disease / Complaints: Started in 1999 when I was diagnosed and put on a PPI drug. I was having some heartburn, also feeling somewhat nauseous, felt like a lump in my throat frequently throughout the day. Especially in the morning my stomach was uncomfortable, like having a knot in the pit of my stomach or something. Difficulty eating and swallowing - had to just make myself eat. Was given an upper GI and endoscopy. These symptoms are still present today when I stop taking the PPI drugs (which I have recently), although my heartburn is very severe these days and that is worse than the general stomach discomfort.

Results of major Laboratory Tests:
(Investigations / Pathology Reports)
a. Reflux
b. Chronic GERD - doctors have said I would need to be on PPI drug for life.
c. Barrett's Esophagus - a small patch found at an endoscopy around 2001. At a later endoscopy around 2007, there was no sign of Barret's and my esophagus looked fine with minor signs of reflux.

Comfortable Position:- When I have severe heartburn, there is no comfortable position really.
Worse state of disease:- If I am having heartburn and bend over, it gets very severe. If I lay down flat with heartburn (which I don't do), it's very awful. If I eat spicy foods or food with tomato and/or onion, it gets bad too.

Change of Weather:- Doesn't affect my GERD at all.
Hot & Cold Application:- Doesn't affect my GERD.

Good Time: Usually have less heartburn when my stomach is empty. Best probably 2-3 hours after meals. Right now I get it after any meal no matter what I eat, and I'm finding I even have it when I first wake up. Like this morning I had it, took one bite of cereal, then 15 minutes later was having heartburn with stomach fluid burping up into my mouth.
Worse Time: 15-45 minutes after meals. This lasts for about 1-2 hours.

Thirst:-Normal, although I've been feeling a bit more thirsty lately because I'm having chronic heartburn and if I drink water it makes more fluid burp into my mouth so I haven't been drinking as much.
Appetite:- I feel hungry, but have sour stomach, feel like a lump in my throat, and feel the heartburn and indigestion, so eating isn't comfortable or pleasant. I do it because my body needs food and I feel hunger.

List of medicines used so for:
(Homeopathic and allopathic or Herbal, if any etc)
a. PPI Drugs - at various times throughout the past 10 years. I've always been on a PPI, but sometimes my prescription has changed due to insurance, medicine effectiveness wearing off, etc. Most recently Prilosec, but I've taken Prevacid, Nexium, Protonix, Aciphex, and perhaps others.
b. At the beginning of February, 2010. I stopped my PPI drugs and started my own natural remedies that were based on personal research:
Acidophilus with Enzymes (1 with breakfast, 1 with lunch) - Wakunaga - Kyolic, Kyo Dophilus with Enzymes
*I am trying a new enzyme/probiotic formula at this same dosage - Rainbow Light, Advanced Enzyme Optima with Prebiotics & Probiotics
licorice root – (1 with every meal and sometimes in between if the heartburn gets severe) - Now Foods, Licorice Root, 450 mg
*I am trying a new licorice formula at this same dosage - Nature's Plus, Herbal Actives, Licorice (DGL), 500 mg
l-glutamine – (1 between breakfast and lunch, 1 before bed) - Now Foods, L-Glutamine Double Strength, 1000 mg
orange peel extract – (1 every other morning before breakfast) - Enzymatic Therapy, Heartburn Free with ROH10 & D-Limonene

c. On March 17th, I started Dr. Joe Livera's Remedy - 3 tablets of Nat Phos 6x taken after each of 3 meals per day; Arnica 30c - 5 drops in 500ml taken an approximate capful after each of 3 meals per day. I have been taking this in addition to my own therapy above.

Results: I actually felt better overall when I was just doing my own therapy. Since starting the Nat Phos 6x and Arnica, I am having heartburn every day with no days trouble free, and it is painful, and I'm having more gas and indigestion and stomach/intestine discomfort.

Habits:
(Explain in detail where necessary)
Are you addict of alcohol? No, I drink a glass of wine/beer maybe 1-2 times per month at most.
Are you a smoker? No.
Are you fond of drinking tea? Yes, 2-3 times per week, herbal only.
Do you like salty/spicy items or sweet stuff? I do like salty/spicy foods, but eat it very rarely now because of my heartburn. I don't eat much sweet stuff.
Are you vegetarian or carnivore? I am definitely a carnivore although I eat a lot of vegetables too.
How is your bowel movement? I regularly have loose motion, never have constipation, and go 3-5 times per day. Sometimes I get hemorrhoids but not from constipation, just from sitting on the toilet so frequently. I also have gas and indigestion, worse in the afternoon/evening, and with very smelly gas.
Are you slim smart or obese etc? I am definitely slim and if I don't eat snacks in between meals, I get hungry and have trouble maintaining weight. It's much easier for me to lose weight than gain weight. I have to eat a lot a of calories for my size to gain weight. My metabolism is very hight.
Do you have craving for any food / drink etc? Sometimes I crave protein foods or simple carbohydrates (breads, etc).
Do you have any wart or mole on your body? I have one mole on the lower left side of my abdomen (about 1/4 inch diameter and raised about 1/8 inch. I had a doctor look at it one time and he said it wasn't anything to worry about.

List of your major past illnesses / diseases:-
a. I had chicken pox as a kid.
b. I had bronchitis as a child.
c. No other major illnesses.

List of major closed family persons diseases:-

a. I was adopted when I was 5 and don't know much of my biological family's medical history.

Detail of your past Vaccination Chart:-
a. I have had all common US vaccines.
b.
Further Explanation:- In my previous posts, I have described my symptoms, experiences, and issues to great detail.

Thank you.

I presume that you are aware that yours is a chronic case of GERD and it is likely that you will take some months to hopefully be cured. You can consider yourself fortunate that you have stopped taking the PPI's prescribed by your doctors who are now being informed that they expose the patient to more dangerous diseases some of which are permanent and incurable. Big Pharma makes a killing on these PPI's as they constitute their main source of revenue and get away with murder !

I believe that your gastric juice has eroded your Lower Esophageal Valve during the past 11 years of your GERD. As a result the gastric juice which is highly corrosive is constantly leaking up into your esophagus resulting the belches, burning and the acidic taste that you must feel.

My therapy comprises Nat Phos 6x which is designed to accelerate the passage of food from the stomach into the small intestines, thereby reducing the likelihood of excess gastric juice being excreted to digest the food. You can take up to 6 tablets after a meal but it is recommended that you restrict it to 4 as there is a possibility that you may notice a metallic taste in your mouth at the high dosage.
Arnica 30c in the Wet dose taken thrice daily to increase the blood flow in your body which will hopefully heal the inner lining of your Esophagus.
Nux Vomica 200 in the Wet dose taken once daily at night to help stabilize the digestive system.

Eat small meals up to 5 or 6 daily and restrict your food to those that are easily digestible and you are the best judge of what is acceptable. Do not eat any raw salads. No fats or milk products. No red meats. No coffee.

Do not drink any liquid after a meal. You must however drink copious liquid up to 3 ltrs daily but an hour before or 2 hours after a meal.

I failed to caution NOT to take any other drugs or remedies that you are now taking as they will antidote my therapy.

Thank you Dr. Joe for your response. Here are my questions that arise after having done your therapy for 10 days:

1) Is it normal for me to have gas, indigestion, and loose movements since taking the Nat Phos 6x and Arnica? And how long before these symptoms typically go away?

2) Nux Vomica - previously you had mentioned ordering the 30c tablets. Now you mention the wet solution. I haven't ordered any yet. How should I take this once daily? For example, how do I make the wet solution?

3) You stated not to take any additional drugs or remedies. I am not taking any drugs. However, don't you think it could be helpful for me to take enzymes and probiotics while trying to heal and retrain my digestive symptom? I'm hesitant to stop those, because they were helping somewhat since I stopped the PPI drugs. I just want to make sure that you mean don't take any of those things.

4) Nat Phos 6x - So far my heartburn hasn't been relieved too much with this. You've said I can take up to 6. I've only done up to 3. I don't mind a metallic taste if that's the worst symptom that could happen by doing 6. I think I'll try 4, but as I mentioned, it has already caused more gas, indigestion and loose movements without much help to my acid heartburn.

5) I realize that GERD can cause Barretts which can lead to cancer, also incurable, so to have daily heartburn like this makes me nervous. The longer it continues, the more at-risk I am. You said it might take a few months for me to be hopefully cured. How long for my condition would you estimate before I start at least feeling regularly better instead of the daily heartburn pain?

I have read some of your forum posts on GERD and that's how I found you, and I will review them some more too.

Thanks again.

1 You state that you have had loose motions after taking Nat Phos 6x and Arnica. This has been reported by some patients and is caused only by Nat Phos (NP) and there is unfortunately nothing that can be done about it. You will discover that 6 tablets will increase your motions and will also make them quite wet. This is a characteristic of NP and confirms my theory that it works by accelerating the passage of food down the gut which in turn prevents acid build up in the stomach. In your case, give it a chance of helping you as there is unfortunately no other remedy that can replace it. Keep to the 3 tablet dosage as the 6 tablet is not for you.

2 I do not remember prescribing Nux Vomica 30 for you. You may use it in the Dry pellets but in the 200c potency.

3 All I can advice is that you only use my therapy which has helped many. Remember that saying 'Too many cooks spoil the soup'.

4 You will have to experiment with the NP but be warned about the liquid bowel motions.

5 Your case is absolutely most chronic after 11 years off unnecessary suffering that your doctors have inflicted on you and you must remember that Rome was not built in a day. I do sympathize with your predicament but I can only prescribe the therapy aka Joepathy that has helped many hundreds perhaps thousands of patients, which I pioneered. I cannot give you any dead lines and we can only hope and pray that you too will respond like the others.

It just occurred to me that 2 pellets Aloe 30c in the Dry pellets taken thrice daily can also help to soothe your GERD.

Hi Joe,
I wanted to write and give you an update. I used both the Nat Phos and Arnica along with my other remedies like I mentioned above. However, I was having heartburn consistently after every meal no matter what. I stopped the Arnica water for the past several weeks. That seemed to help with the heartburn. It seems whenever I try a new homeopathic remedy it at first increases my heartburn (I found this with the Nat Phos and especially Arnica, and I'm finding it now having tried a few doses of the Aloe and Nux Vomica). I plan on resuming the Arnica soon though. So here's a breakdown of how things have gone since I first started your program.
1) I tried the Nat Phos and Arnica along with my remedies. I felt worse with more heartburn. I stopped the Arnica and kept doing Nat Phos and my remedies as I outlined in previous posts.
2) That worked ok for awhile, but not really great. At your recommendation, I took only the Nat Phos for a little over a week to give it a try and stop all my remedies. That was also not very good, consistent heartburn, and daily struggles with indigestion, gas pain, and loose stools.
3) For the past few weeks I have been taking Nat Phos, the Probiotics/Enzymes, and the L-glutamine. When I restarted the probiotics/enzymes, it helped my indigestion and intestinal discomfort so much. Like a night and day difference.
4) I still have daily heartburn, most times probably a 5-6 in severity on a scale of 1-10, with times throughout the day where it's gone and I don't think about it and times where it's bothersome.
5) I recently got the Aloe 30c and Nux Vomica 200c. I've only tried them each a couple times now. My plan is to take Aloe 30c at 2 pellets 3 times daily after meals. How often should I take the Nux Vomica and how many pellets?
6) Today, I left my remedies at home so I went all day without taking anything until supper. I had major heartburn throughout the day, sometimes very bad like an 8-9 on the severity scale, and I burped up acid several times. It was somewhat relieved after supper when I took the Nat Phos, Nux Vomica, Aloe, and the probiotics/enzymes. However the heartburn hasn't gone away. It's been constant and nagging all evening, just on a scale of about 5-6 or so.
7) I was kind of discouraged today when I forgot my remedies and realized how bad my heartburn was without them. Right now it's like I have daily heartburn of about 4-6 with the remedies and if I don't have them I'm at a 8-10. I was hoping to be further along and not so dependent on them where my body would be more stable and healed so that without remedies I would only be about a 5-6.
8) I'm going to keep on with these remedies though, adding in the Arnica, Nux, and Aloe, and I'm going to take the Licorice DGL again too. For me, the symptoms are so severe and I have found the most relief by taking a combination of things. Like the old saying, many hands make light work. Sometimes less is better, and sometimes more is needed.
9) I really want remain off the PPI prescriptions and it has now been almost 3 months since I stopped using them. I only hope that my LES valve is not malfunctioning beyond repair so that no matter what I do acid will always be able to back up my esophagus. It's now been 3 months of steady heartburn since stopping the PPI drugs and I do get nervous about the ongoing damage this could be causing to my esophagus, which can potentially lead to cancer.

Thanks for your help. Hope you are doing well. Let me know about the Nux Vomica dosage please, and any other insights you have a this time.

There is obviously some causative agent that is preventing you from being cured permanently. I shall note a few ideas below which you can ponder over and take action to correct if they apply to you.

Do you eat large quantities of food for lunch and dinner? If yes, this may be the reason for your present status. You will have to get used to not overloading your stomach for the next few months till it recovers from years of abuse especially with the PPI's. No fats permitted as they are difficult to digest. You may however eat 5-6 small meals to keep your stomach happy. If you suffer from a stomach ache before you have a meal this indicates that they gastric juice is digesting the stomach walls and you must then eat a fruit or a biscuit to keep the digestive juices away from attacking your stomach inside.

Do not go to bed for at least 2 hours after dinner. Do not drink more than a sip of water after a meal to ensure that the water does not dilute the digestive juices which will then regurgitate up your Esophagus.

Exercise is essentil to regularize your digestive system. You must sweat it out either in the gym or you can do a jog. You may like to know that I walk for 45 minutes daily usually after dark around 8.00PM when it is relatively cool here in Colombo. I am perfectly fit and at age 81 I do not have any ache or pain in my body thanks to God and the Arnica I take nightly before bed.

I do not agree with your statement :
' Like the old saying, many hands make light work. Sometimes less is better, and sometimes more is needed.'

Too many cooks can spoil the soup.

All I can do is to suggest that you only use my therapy if you wish to be permanently cured. You have your whole life ahead of you at age 34 and you must make that mental effort to overcome your ailment.

Hi Joe,
Thank you for your reply. Let me answer your questions/suggestions.
1) I don't eat large meals for lunch or dinner, meaning I don't overeat or feel stuffed or even uncomfortably full, except on rare occasion. I usually just feel pleasantly filled. I am 5'9' and 140lbs with a very high metabolism, so if I don't eat enough calories, especially protein, I lose weight rapidly.

2) I eat regular small meals/snacks throughout the day. Here’s what I do: I eat a small bowl of cereal at 6:15am before leaving for work (I take the public bus for 1.5 hrs), then a good sized bowl of granola for breakfast at work around 8:30am, at which time I take my morning remedies. Around 10:30am or 11am, I eat a snack, usually some sort of peanut butter or almond butter sandwich. I eat lunch around 1:00pm. I eat another snack around 3:30pm, usually a granola bar and sometimes an apple. I eat dinner around 6:45pm. Then I have an evening snack which is usually a soy protein shake with coconut milk around 9-10pm and then I’m in bed by 11pm. Eating this many calories is the only way I can maintain my weight and not get weak/tired or have low-blood sugar during the day.

3) Here’s what I did today so far: I ate my small bowl of cereal at 6:15am. Then I ate my bowl of granola at 9:00am. After eating the granola, I took my probiotics/enzymes, 3 NatPhos tablets, 2 Nux Vomica 200c pellets, and 2 Aloe 30c pellets. It is now 10:00am and I have bad heartburn, probably about an 8-9 on a 10 scale. Again, just based on symptoms I experience, it seems when I first add a new homeopathic remedy (in this case the Nux and Aloe), my heartburn gets worse. This was true of the NatPhos and Arnica when I started taking them too. Prior to taking the NatPhos and Arnica, I had sporadic daily heartburn, sometimes severe, sometimes not, and sometimes I wouldn’t really notice it at all. Once I started the NatPhos and Arnica after every meal, I had heartburn after every meal no matter what. It became consistent and was about a 7-8 on a pain scale. You’ll notice I’ve pressed on with the NatPhos though, and continue persevering with these natural remedies even though I am still daily in pain. I noticed similar results the very first time I took the Nux Vomica and Aloe. It’s like my body responds by producing more acid in rebellion against the remedies. I’m sharing the observable evidence and experience of my body so that you know what I am currently going through.

4) I don’t eat a fatty diet, and overall eat very healthy. I usually eat chicken and sometimes hamburger. I’m not willing to stop eating the hamburger because I have such a hard time keeping weight on, and I’ve gone long enough without eating hamburger to know that it’s not the cause of my heartburn. I have it if I eat oatmeal, chicken, hamburger, bread, etc. It’s worse when I eat acid foods or highly fatty foods (like fried foods) sometimes, but even that’s not a guarantee to make it worse.

5) I don’t have a stomach ache before meals.

6) I haven’t been drinking much water with meals, usually a few swallows or none. I used to drink at least a glass of water regularly with meals, but haven’t in the past couple months. I now find it difficult to remember to drink water or make myself drink water in between meals since I usually have heartburn after meals, and drinking water fills my stomach with liquid and then I end up having liquid acid come up my throat or at least burn in my chest. I need to work on drinking more water though.

7) Exercise – I walk about 10 minutes 2x per day on my way to the bus. And I had been exercising (lifting weights and doing a little rowing machine) a few times a week during March and April. I caught a common cold virus though and haven’t exercised much in the past 3 weeks. That is something I need to do more.

8) Please tell me if I’m correct in my understanding that you would like me to be taking only the following remedies at this time:
*Nat Phos 6x – 3 tablets taken 3 times daily after my main meals.
*Arnica 30c – 3 drops in 500ml of water, take a capful 3 times daily after my main meals.
*Nux Vomica 200c – 2 pellets taken 3 times daily after my main meals (I’m guessing here because you still haven’t told me how much or when to take this)
*Aloe 30c – 2 pellets taken 3 times daily after my main meals.

9) I know you don’t agree with my statement about using more remedies than just yours. You mentioned that before. However, in doing research online, the remedies I’m using have helped people tremendously with GERD just like yours, and when I did just yours for a little over a week, it was extremely painful and difficult due to the heartburn, indigestion, gas, and loose stool I experienced. So, you can see how based on that pain, I would want to add these additional natural things that have increased the level of relief I feel. It’s not that I am unwilling to accept advice and learn. I wouldn’t be here in this forum if that was the case. It’s just my experience has showed greater relief in adding other things. So, I feel frustrated because I know your remedies have helped a lot of people and you are passionate about them, but other remedies have helped people just as effectively too, and our bodies are all unique and will respond differently in strange ways, and it seems like you don’t believe the pain I’m suffering or you think I’m doing something completely wrong because your remedy is working perfectly yet. I realize this is difficult for you too being on the other side of the world and not being able to talk directly with me or gather all the information that would be helpful to you in this process, and I am very grateful for all the time and energy you’ve given to me. I am working hard and persevering in finding natural remedies and I believe that natural remedies are better for my body than prescriptions. I’m taking healthy steps and following advice and I am doing a lot of things right and recommended for those suffering with GERD. With that though, I must also be honest and state that my heartburn is still a daily struggle, sometimes I’m fighting it from when I first get up in the morning when all I’ve had is a few sips of water, and no food at all.

10) I’m willing to try only your remedies on their own for awhile, but that also makes me nervous because they haven’t eliminated heartburn to this point (and I still do get severe heartburn at times), and the last time I took only the NatPhos, it made for an awful 10 days or so with heartburn and indigestion. My point is, if it doesn’t work, it doesn’t work and at some moment you just have to say this isn’t the method for you. Now I know I might need to persevere for awhile having things get worse before they get better, and I’m willing to do that. Healing can take time and my body needs to adjust. I’ve been working at this for 3 months naturally now, and I’m just tired of suffering with this because it hurts every day. Right now it’s 10:30 and I’ve had heartburn all morning since 6:30 already. That’s difficult, and also scary because I know my esophagus is being burned every day.

11) So let me know if what I outline in #8 is what you recommend and I’ll give it a shot, and maybe set a goal of 2 weeks or so and evaluate how my days are doing. Thanks again for taking the time to dialogue with me and offer your advice and support.

12) If anyone else would like to jump in the conversation and offer other opinions or recommendations, I’d be happy to hear those as well.

You are not going to like what I have to state below but I am doing so in your interest as I now know the real reason which is the root cause of your GERD.

It is my considered belief which is based on your detailed record of your eating habits as contained in your last post that you are OVER FEEDING YOURSELF.

The response of a normal person would be to get OBESE but in your case since the metabolic rate of your body is higher than usual, your body is unable to process or digest the food that you force feed.

This has resulted in the GERD that you have suffered for some years which you have suffered from since 1999. This GERD is your body's natural reaction to the food that it cannot process which results in GERD.

You have been prescribed various drugs including the PPI's and as you are aware, these PPI's are absolutely dangerous as they will eventually KILL you. You cannot use them for life as your lifespan will be considerably shortened by their daily use.

You are invited to visit the links below on this subject to open your eyes to the danger of these PPI's which Big Pharma relies upon as a major source of their revenue:

http://www.abchomeopathy.com/forum2.php/66811/

http://www.abchomeopathy.com/forum2.php/25315/

I do sympathize with you in your quest for a solution to your GERD but this solution is in your own hands to EAT LESS even though you may suffer from some loss of weight which is your main fear and which is a small price to be safe than sorry.

You state:

I don’t eat a fatty diet, and overall eat very healthy. I usually eat chicken and sometimes hamburger. I’m not willing to stop eating the hamburger because I have such a hard time keeping weight on, and I’ve gone long enough without eating hamburger to know that it’s not the cause of my heartburn.

Have you ever investigated what meat is used in a Hamburger. It comprises the meat that is otherwise discarded and this includes the fat and other remnants which when finely ground are rendered edible.

I hope that you will accept the fact that Medicine is NOT the answer to your problem.

Eating less is the answer even though it will take you some time to get used to a new diet regime even though it will cost you some loss of weight.

All I can do is to advise you but it is you who will have to take the decision to LIVE A NORMAL LIFESPAN.

I am copying below some interesting information on Hamburgers

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hamburger

Health-related controversies

Oprah Winfrey was sued[31] for saying on her show broadcast on April 16, 1996 that she would stop eating hamburgers when there was a mad cow disease scare, on the grounds that it was unsafe.[32][33][34] February 26, 1998 the jurors rejected the $11 million-dollar defamation lawsuit by Texas cattlemen.[35]

Super Size Me is a 2004 documentary film by Morgan Spurlock, which follows a 30-day time period in 2003 during which Spurlock eats only McDonald's food and increases body mass by 13%. In contrast, 2007 Johan Groundstroem on a hamburger-only diet lost 30% body mass.[36] These culturally recognized events are not to be confused with clinical diet studies—where total caloric intake in addition to food types are monitored.

In 1993, hundreds of people were sickened and four children died after eating at Jack in the Box restaurants. The primary cause of the outbreak was hamburger patties contaminated with E. coli, manufactured and sold to the restaurant chain by one of its suppliers. Litigation that resulted from this outbreak took years, and tens of millions of dollars, to resolve.[37]

Ammonia doctored beef containing fatty trimmings, once relegated to pet food and cooking oil has found its way, with USDA approval, into hamburgers of the American fast-food industry, grocery stores and the federal school lunch program. But government and industry records obtained by The New York Times show that in testing for the school lunch program, E. coli and salmonella pathogens have been found dozens of times in Beef Products Inc meat, challenging claims by the company and the U.S.D.A. about the effectiveness of the treatment. Since 2005, E. coli has been found 3 times and salmonella 48 times, including back-to-back incidents in August, 2009 in which two 27,000-pound batches were found to be contaminated. The meat was caught before reaching lunch-rooms trays.[38]That article and a similar one telling the story of a young woman paralyzed from eating one single E.coli infected hamburger won a Pulitzer Prize for its author Michael Moss on Tuesday, April 13, 2010.[39][40]By comparison, rehydrated textured vegetable protein, TVP, has a more than 50 year safe-track record of inexpensively extending ground beef for hamburgers, without reducing its nutritional value.[41][42][43][44][45][46]

I am copying below a post I made on another thread which will give readers more information on the therapy that I use for GERD which may be of interest to this thread.

http://www.abchomeopathy.com/forum2.php/25315/5

Re: Reflux acidityFrom Joe De Livera on 2010-04-20I chanced upon this thread which dates back almost exactly to 5 years ago and pertains to a common ailment that the majority of the population in developed countries suffer from -- GERD (Gastro Esophageal Reflux Disease) aka Gastric Problems. These problems often are experienced after a heavy dinner and many have been rushed to the ER in the early hours of the morning in the mistaken assumption that they suffer from a heart attack as the intense burning pain experienced is symptomatic of an Infarct. They are relieved to be informed that they only suffer from a Gastric problem which is soon cured by some drug usually an antacid which neutralizes the acid and relieves the patient almost immediately.

It is only when this Hyperacidity turns chronic that the patient is in serious trouble as the drugs that are used are usually the PPI's (Proton Pump Inhibitors) which were first introduced in 1988 and were hailed at that time as the ultimate in the treatment of GERD. Unfortunately this euphoria was short lived when reports started to arrive that these new fangled drugs were the cause of other more serious side effects which include cancer, and other diseases too horrible to contemplate. I have copied an article below which gives more data on these negative side effects.

It is often a source of wonder to me why patients who suffer from some form of Gastric ailment are not made aware of the benefits they can derive from Nat Phos 6x which I first used and prescribed way back in the early 70's when I was new to Homeopathy. I presume that one reason is because there is a general suspicion of all Homeopathic Remedies on the part of the majority of the population especially MD's who are programmed not to be misled by the remedies used by Homeopaths which are only equivalent to placebos.

Big Pharma decided last year to soft pedal pushing the sales of PPI drugs as they were advised by the AMA and other medical bodies to reduce their sales pressure in view of the many cases of negative side effects some of which were traced back to the use of PPI's.

I am glad that I chanced upon this Thread which run into all of 6 pages and I hope that my 'discovery' of Nat Phos 6x used with Arnica 30c in the Wet dose for the treatment of GERD will help patients to overcome their ailment which is not usually easy to cure.

The testimonials of the patients who were cured on this thread will testify to their cure and the efficacy of the 2 remedies Nat Phos 6x and Arnica 30 which I have prescribed for the cure of GERD.

I cannot help referring to the cordial tone evidenced by Gavini Murthy in his responses on this thread in the early years since it was first started. Murthy was one of my first patients at that early stage when he was seeking relief from his weight shortly after I first advocated the use of Nat Phos. He even advocated its use even though in later years he was one of my strongest critics and was also responsible for coining the term 'JOEPATHY' which he used in a derisive sense to describe my 'this for that' therapy as he felt that it did not follow the strict rules of Hahnemann but invariably cured the patient much to the chagrin of the classical fraternity of homeopaths lead by Gavini who had to reluctantly observe the responses of grateful patients some of which are evidenced on this Thread.

I would like to mention here that this term Joepathy is now listed on Google with over 1400 hits where many cases that I have cured are listed. Each of the hits usually have about 5 others of a similar nature on each listing of the disease and the total number of cases can be in excess of 3000. I was also agreeably surprised to note that the listing on Google under 'Joe De Livera Homeopath' now exceed 2000 cases many of which constitute information and prescriptions on many ailments that other classical homeopaths would not dare to use purely because my therapy does not confirm to the classical form of Homeopathy.

My stock answer to those classical homeopaths who even now criticize me is that I am only interested in the cure of the patient and not the method used in doing so. And I continue to do so completely free of any financial compensation at my advanced age of 81 years.

http://www.raysahelian.com/protonpumpinhibitor.html

Long Term Proton Pump Inhibitor Use
Omeprazole began to be used in 1988, and since then proton-pump inhibitors have remained central to the management of acid-suppression disorders and are unchallenged with regard to their popularity among doctors and patients. They were considered safe but there are some concerns about the possibility of an association with cancer, infection, and gastric atrophy; current concerns about long-term proton-pump inhibitor therapy are centred mainly on a possible association with fundic gland polyps and between Helicobacter pylori and gastric atrophic changes. Long-term proton-pump inhibitor usage accounts for the majority of the total proton-pump inhibitor usage. Long-term usage is difficult to define and most patients take proton-pump inhibitors non-continuously. Data indicate that a substantial proportion of long-term users do not have a clear indication for their therapy and there is thus room for reduction or rationalization of treatment. Overall, on-demand therapy is more cost-effective than continuous therapy and should be considered wherever possible.

Heartburn Medication May not be Safe -- Side effects of proton pump inhibitor drugs
Proton-pump inhibitors that block stomach acid production increase the risk of an increasingly common infectious form of diarrhea. Taking a heartburn medication such as AstraZeneca's Nexium or Losec or their generic versions significantly increases the risk of diarrhea blamed on the Clostridium difficile bacteria. Frequently prescribed anti-heartburn drugs called H2 antagonists that include GlaxoSmithKline's Zantac double the risk of the bacterial diarrhea. PPIs and H2 antagonists reduce gastric acid, allowing for bacteria to multiply in the digestive system. Clostridium is the third-most common type of infectious diarrhea in patients aged 75 and older. Exposure to Clostridium difficile bacteria, which causes infection and inflammation of the intestine, previously occurred mostly during hospital stays, but cases have increasingly been contracted in community settings. While antibiotics formerly blamed for outbreaks of the illness have declined in use, the acid-blocking drugs have become steadily more popular to treat ulcers and conditions such as gastric reflux disease.

Even in those without previous heartburn symptoms, proton pump inhibitors can give rise to such symptoms after the drugs are stopped. 'It thus seems that the drugs induce the symptoms they are used to treat, which might lead to dependency on such drugs,' says co-author Dr. Christina Reimer, from Køge University Hospital, Denmark. Such dependency might explain why use of the medications is increasing. Gastroenterology, July 2009.

The US Food and Drug Administration recommends that the coadministration of omeprazole and Plavix (clopidogrel) be avoided, based on data showing that the proton pump inhibitor reduces the efficacy of Plavix by nearly 50%. Other drugs which inhibit the CYP2C19 drug-metabolising enzyme should also be avoided in combination with clopidogrel.

Re: GERD Burning and Pain From Joe De Livera on 2010-08-01
To Arvindmanda

Please read the post which I am copying from the original you posted today on the other thread which answers your questiona sna details the therapy I have formulated through the years to treat a common ailment GERD.

My therapy for you is also the same.

Nat Phos 6x Biochemic Cell Salt dose 3-4 tablets after each of 2 main meals

Arnica 30c in the Wet dose taken twice daily.

The Wet dose of any Homeopathic remedy is made as follows:

Order the remedy in a 5ml Ethanol pack also referred to as Liquid Dilution in a bottle preferably with a dropper arrangement.
Get a 500ml bottle of Spring Water from the nearest supermarket.
Pour out about 3cm of water from the bottle to leave some airspace.
Insert 3 drops of the remedy into the bottle and shake the bottle hard before you sip a capfull which is the dose.
Shaking the bottle hard is homeopathic succussion and this shaking must be done every time before sipping a capful of the bottle which can be used as a dose.

Report your response in a week after you start this therapy.

It is understood that you will not use other drugs or medication unless on a SOS basis while on this therapy aka 'Joepathy'

Joe De Livera last decade
This Message is for Dr. Joe De Livera, Sir u had suggested me via another platform to take joepathy as u suggested nat phos+arnica and also to take Robina Pseudacacia 3c in the Wet dose taken twice daily.

I just wanted to confirm is it 3c or 30c, am confused as I am unable to find 3c for Robinia via internet.

One more thing: You have suggested to take the wet dose medicine as: insert 3 drops of the remedy into the bottle and shake the bottle hard before you sip a capfull of the bottle or a large teaspoonful which is the dose.
Shaking the bottle hard is homeopathic succussion and this shaking must be done every time before sipping a capful of the bottle twice daily.

I want to know whether this wet dose can be used as long as it lasts or we have to make the wet dose regularly and discard it daily, as I think sipping a capful of the bottle twice daily will not finish the entire 500 ml liquid.

How could the abnormality of the LES get fixed doctor, am worried.? As u said arnica will cure the eroded lining of esophagus, how the LES will be fixed?
Also please note that Nat phos 6x has mixed effect on my GERD as I dont feel immediate relief from taking this.
