doctors, please help: allergic swelling and itch
My face, especially around the eyes and mouth,is very badly swollen and itching all over. There's a red, blotchy rash that started under my chin and is now on the neck, spreading into the chest area. On the face, there's no rash, only the swelling and itch. The rash is also very itchy and feels like it's burning. My ears are starting to itch. It is very uncomfortable.I looked in the Remedy Finder and took Apis 30 and Urticaria 30, twice each today, but it's not helping. It's spreading fast also. Thanks.

Please take three doses of Capsicum 200c at a gap of 4 hours and see how that affects in the next 15 days.

Thank you again for your help. I looked up Capsicum and I had a good laugh when I read about it. Sir, you apparently think that I'm an alcoholic just because I mentioned drinking before. As it happens, I've not had a drink in about 6 weeks, so this swelling and itch had nothing to do with drinking alcohol. You are obviously a kind person and didn't mention it, but I understood your thinking when I read about the remedy.
My itching is unbearable, and nothing is helping. The Urtica urens and Apis did nothing for the swelling or the itching, and it is spreading down to the chest. Do you still think that Capsicum is the right remedy or would you suggest something else?

The biggest problem in homeopathy is to hold the benefit after being fortunate enough to get some.
What i generally suggest is that the patient should take the indicated remedy and then he should let it work internally and switchover to bio-chemics or ayurvedic remedies for maintenance.
If one looks at the homeo remedy for maintenance and takes it regularly it can have some proving effects and that can confuse the symptom picture.
The sovereign remedy for urticaria is Haridra Khanda 1/2 tsp with water in the morning and evening. Please note that turmeric is not a substitute for haridra khanda. You may ask someone to send you a parcel of haridra khanda from India. In the western world either these medicines are not available or they are available at dollar prices.
There is a bio-chemic combination remedy bc-20 for skin..
It's composition is -
calc flor 6x
calc sulph 3x
kali sulph 6x
natrum mur 6x
natrum sulph 3x
You may not get this combination, but you may get the individual salts. calc sulph, Kali sulp.h and natrum sulph have good effect on skin. You may take 2 pellets each of these salts thrice a day for 15 days and see the result.
Do you think that a pause for a period of about 6 weeks is sufficient to undo everything that has been done. i think that your mentals also match with capsicum.
Please don't think anything personally, it is very dangerous to suggest a homeo remedy to a person who reads MM.

I would like to go on a detox program to clean out my system. I'm thinking of some kind of a liver cleanse. Can you recommend any procedure or remedies, homeopathic or ayurvedic? I will wait to hear from you before taking the capsicum.

i do not think that any protocol in homeopathy for such things like liver detox is safe. All homeo remedies have invariably the proving effects if the remedies are repeated. The protocols need repetition of the remedies and involve risk of remedy proving.
i follow the method of giving the indicated remedy once in 15-30 days and then using ayurvedic and bio-chemic remedies for maintenance.
Your son can take 1/2 tsp haridra khanda with water in the morning and evening. This should help his itching. You should also ask him to do the breathing exercises.
