6 month old with constipation

my 6 month old baby started solid about a month ago and has irregular BM since then.
first i started on rice cereal and he had constipation for 7 days, then changed to wheat cereal and constipation for 13 days!!! he then had only 1 HUGE bowel movement and now constipation for 5 days... please help i tried giving him nux vomica 200c 2 pills but nothing seems to work
