Erika,

Thanks so much for all the info. I'll let you know what happens with the staph. I still think I'm going to try it.

My mistake describing the split dose. How you describe sounds like what I do. I forgot to add that every other day (in lower potencies) you take a teaspoon or less from mother batch, put in cup and take teaspoon from there. Luc DeSchepper's book says take teaspoon or if very sensitive take less (enough not to aggravate)

His book is my only point of reference. I have been to 3 professional homeopaths, and I was not able to get help. I think this was due to they were using 30C and 200C potencies. I am way too sensitive for that. I was running to the doctors going for MRIs my aggravations were so bad. I was going to give up with homeopathy and then I read his books "Achieving and Maintaining the Simillimum" and "Hahnemann Revisited".

I'm still not sure it's going to work for me. I've never really seen big cures with homeopathy yet. I don't doubt they happen. I've tried everything else holistic which helps but homeopathy offers a cure. Hopefully I'll find the right remedies to help me.

Thanks again for all your help and teaching.

I must admit I plus slightly differently - I always dilute onwards and upwards and never return to the initial 25ml bottle ('mother batch') as this seems to defeat the object of plussing as you are returning to the original 'energy' of remedy before stirring/shaking, i.e. beofre the plussing - plussing is always to 'go on' and 'plus' upwards from this energy. So I would dilute on from the teacups and not ever return to the mother batch of that potency.

My option of choice with very sensitive people is that I make up the bottle and tell patient to shake before taking a drop (this will 'plus' the energy). If they are too sensitive to this they put a few drops of this bottle in the dropper, throw the rest of the contents of the bottle away, put the drops from the dropper back into the bottle and then they top up this original bottle with spring water (a very little brandy if it is going to be used for a while) and then 'plus' from there as before (a vigorous shake before each dose of one drop will be enough to plus it). If they are still too sensitive to this then they can go through the same process again.......this is almost the same as your teacups but you need only 1 bottle and you don't return to the original 'energy' but always are plussing.
Doses are taken either daily , alternate days, or even weekly, fortnightly (and so on) depending on sensitivity of patient.
These books are very good on the subject - I have read snippets but not all of it...

When plussing in the way above from the bottle it is important to make sure that the drops in the dropper do not come into contact with anything else or any other remedy.

hi elle
just checking you got the above message on plussing?

erika last decade
Hi Erika, Was offline for a couple days.

Got your message about plussing. I'll try that way sometime. I got my staph 6C this morning and started already. The first dose was one pellet dry. I think I'll take another dose tonight. I'm feeling a bit crabby.

Let me ask you - with a potency of 6C can you take less than every other day? The book I was telling you about he said not really because you want to keep a continual dose in the body without it wearing off (my own words). But with the thuj, I felt every other day was too aggravating. What do you think?

maryo last decade
it is fine to take less than every other day - if you find nothing happens then try and take more often.
As you are sensitive you will probably intuitively know what may suit you best.
You only need to repeat dose when the effect of the previous dose has 'worn off' - i.e. if the effect of a dose was good then it will mean that you stop improving -you will know when this is.:)

Erika,

I've been on the Staph for about 3 days. My energy may be higher, but it seems like nervous energy. Also, I feel extremely angry without regret mainly directed at my husband. I've been kind of loosing it with my temper and I feel irritable. Don't know what to make of this.

maryo last decade
this may be that you are 'outing' some repressed emotions and sounds positive. the telling key is whether you feel good in yourself????
If you are feeling good in yourself but feeling too irritable, losing it too much, then take the staph less frequently. Also find an outlet for the releasing hyperenergy (you may be in what i call 5th gear!!!) by writing down this anger and shredding or burning the bits (safely of course!!!!??)you write down - write them to forgive or just to release emotions. the main thing is you are writing this for yourself to whoever or whatever you need to, but you do not need to send it to whatever or whoever you just need to write it, acknowledge it and release it when you burn or shred!
if this does not help, or you are NOT feeling good in yourself then get back to me...:)
OH - pls reassure your husband about what is happening!

Erika,

I feel loaded with energy today, almost like a stimulant (which I used to crave). I had taken the remedy at night (1 and 1/2 nights ago) and couldn't sleep most of the night which is extremely unusual for me. The next day is when I was rageful. Emotions that I haven't expressed in a long time came out. I was totally out of control yelling things at my family. I even felt violent this morning which I haven't felt in years like this. Last night I told my husband I feel like punching him in the head. I didn't but I really felt I could. I have had these feelings in my life but not for a long time. I got that way mostly as a teenager and I did get like that once in a rare while in my marriage, but never acted on it. It was very scary. I feel better though and I hope this energy lasts and the anger and rage part goes away.

I noticed that the energy was more nervous yesterday. Today it feels better, though I'm almost hyped up. I still think it's too early to tell what's going to happen. I've been on the remedy about 5 or 6 days. In the past I've usually felt good on the remedy for about a week and then I felt aggravated both if I didn't take it enough or I took it too much.

Hopefully, the staph may help me. The way I feel today I have hope with it. Thanks again, Erika!

maryo last decade
Also, I'll try writing down the feelings. I have done this in the distant past when I used to go to therapy so I know what you mean. It's cathartic.

maryo last decade
elle - thanks for your feedback - sounds good that feelings are returning and that you are able to recognise this and deal with them positively, with the writing down etc. I would definitely take less often now and dilute the remedy further before taking another dose, as it would be a lot to cope with if the rage continued. wait now until these feelings have really died down before taking another dose - with the next dose then it should be a more gradual release.
Have you also got some rescue remedy you could take to help? Gentian also from the bach flower range would be helpful.. Remember to check with your self that you are feeling better in yourself before continuing.. :)

erika last decade
Hi, Erika,

Okay, will follow your advice on dosing and frequency. Felt great all day. I don't want to feel overconfident because this has happened before, but usually I don't feel this energetic.

I haven't taken Resucue Remedy in years, but I used to use it alot. It helped me pass a test to get the job I have now. I used to freak out when I tested, and I took a few drops before the test, and I felt so calm and did very well. I'll try it.

I'll check out the Gentian. I have a Bach Flower book.
From reading the forum it seems alot of people used the Bach Flower remedies with homeopathic remedies. Is this consistent with classical homeopathy?

Tomorrow I'm going to take another dose of the staph. That will be 3 days. I'll take a smaller amount, maybe a quarter of a teaspoon. I'll post you on my progress. Bye.

maryo last decade
Hi elle - sounds good, fingers crossed!!!

Taking Bach Flower remedies with homeopathic medicines is fine........some homeopaths may not agree that this is classical but then I don't always practise classical!
Looking forward to reading your progress. bye for now

Just an update on progress.

Energy still going good except for when I get extreme mentral cramps, then I get tired and cranky. The problem is I'm getting these cramps alot.

My period stopped about 3 months ago. Before that I was regular all my life, every 27 days. I'm 47. I was taking different remedies at the time and having aggravations so I thought it might be that.

The pain comes at least 3 times a week, I think, and stays with me for hours. It feels like, oh, I'm definitely getting my period today with these cramps. The pain is in my ovaries basically and the cramps radiate. They are more painful than when I used to get my period. I'm wondering if something else is wrong.

I did have a sonogram about a month ago but nothing showed up.

Anybody know what this could be?

maryo last decade
Also this premenstral feeling seems like it is increasing. I've had it the last 3 days in a row, yesterday all day.

maryo last decade
try a dose of staph to see if it helps ease the cramps - the energy change around period could need extra dose or so. If this does not work you can use Colocynthis for the interim, which is used as an acute of staph, for the pain - this is indicated if the pain is better from doubling up and pressing against the painful area.

erika last decade
Erika,

I don't know if I explained right. I have excruciating cramps, but I'm never getting my period. I'm wondering if something is wrong. I did take a dose of staph this morning.

Almost 3-4 times a wk. I feel like I'm getting my period for the last 2 mos. but it never comes. Then the cramps go away for a day or 2 but it never comes and then I get that feeling again.

maryo last decade
do you have any discharge? when was the last time you got your period? Did I understand right that this pain is there every week 3-4 times a week?

erika last decade
have you had any symptoms which point towards the menopause?

erika last decade
I think it is probably menopausal, but I talked to other women, and they never had symptoms like this.

I last got period about 3 mos. ago.

Maybe endometriosis

maryo last decade
i got symptoms like that during my menopause. I was examined for endometriosis (get it checked if you feel it may be this) but was clear. In the end it was an ovarian cyst (harmless) causing all the bother. As I knew I ovulated more than once a month this made sense. At first I was confused as the periods were less and less. but now I understand and can tie the 2 together.
If the pain is disabling you should get it examined - a lot of doctors miss cysts so make sure this is checked for properly (they wanted to examine my bowels but I insisted on ultrasound scan which showed up the cysts). Believe me I am not one to rush for examinations but the pain bothered me a lot. I had no treatment, apart from homeopathy for the cysts and they are no problem now.

erika last decade
Erika,

Had sonogram about a month ago. All clear. Could the remedies be doing this? I think it started when I was on the thuj or hepar. It might just be menopause. I'm having it checked in another week and a half.

If it's endometriosis what do you treat that with? I know that comes on with people who have other autoimmune problems, which I do as well as fibromyalgia and allergies and other thing which seem to be linked.

As long as I know it's not serious, I can deal with it in due time, although it's very painful.

Bye.

maryo last decade
Hi elle
from what you tell me I don't think the remedies are causing the menstrual type cramps - the only way to really tell that would be to stop the remedies completely for a while and see if the symptoms disappears. But it sounds like it is a symptom that is there despite the action of the remedies. The only possibility of it being a result of taking the remedies is if it related back to any similar experience of pain you had after childbirth or after your abortions???
Don't worry about how to treat endometriosis unless you know you have it - wait and see what the exams show up, or don't show up!!! The same remedies would likely apply to you whether you had endometriosis or not.
The only other thought is whether you are prone to constipation - but I'm sure this would have occurred to you already and is probably a silly question on my part.
Did you check the symptoms of Colocynthis with the cramp symptoms - if this doesn't fit then give us more cramp symptoms so that a remedy compatible with staph can be suggested to ease your cramps.
Another natural way of dealing with cramps is to make some carraway tea. :)

Erika,

The cramps are better the last 2 days. I'm going to follow up with GYN though. My energy in general has been alot better lately. Usually in the winter I get very depressed and have much more fatigue. It has been beautiful lately, so I'm sure that helps.

One symptom that is marked is the rage. It comes and goes, but one thing for sure - it is usually out of proportion to the situation. Yesterday and the day before I was so angry at the world, however my energy was good.

I'm taking dose about every 3 days now 1/2 teaspoon from mother batch in 1 cup, 1/2 teaspoon of that to another cup and taking 1/2 teaspoon of that last cup.

Last 2 days a little trouble sleeping and the rage thing, so I might have to lower even more. At least I can get things done now. I'm off the couch.

Thanks! Have good day. Will keep you posted.

maryo last decade
Erika,

Question. The day I take the staph and sometimes the day after I have trouble sleeping. Is the remedy still too much? Also, energy has been real good, but still very irritable and angry sometimes. Sould I keep going?

maryo last decade
Try diluting on when plussing instead of returning to the 'mother batch' for each new dose (read my 'plussing'msg dated 7 april). If you return to this mother batch you are going 'backwards' in the plussing.....this can cause unecessary aggravations.. :)

erika last decade
Erika,

Good news. I finally got my period after 4 mos. That's probably why I was cranky. Even with just 5 hours sleep last night, I still felt good today. Will keep you posted.
