Thanks. I do not usually have the flu for so long...usually 3 days and it's gone. It's the Canadian Thanksgiving long weekend, so not a great time to be in bed! ;(
I am also experiencing something different. When I urinate in the morning, a thick blob of white material (Mucus? I am not sure) comes out. I haven't had this before.

It might be the remedy bringing discharges. Do not interfere, you should feel better in about a week, and long term improvements should follow.

I appreciate your continued feedback, thanks! :)
I was also thinking it might just be an indication of higher than usual WBC count due to the flu/infection.
Have to wait these things out.

Hello Sameer,
Well, it's been 22 days an I am FINALLY starting to feel over this bug.
The only symptoms I have currently is - some stubborn mucus left on my chest - much mucus from my nose in the mornings which is white - peeling lips
- exhaustion - thirst especially late night and - redness, irritation, puffiness and reduced sight in left eye.

Thanks again for your advice on meds. :)

Let us wait further then.

You can update in another 3-4 days.

Hello Sameer..:)
just would like to update that I didn't completely listen (please forgive....I was miserable and getting rather impatient) and started to take the tissue
salt Kali Mur to clear out the mucus....it seemed to work as it feels 95% gone now. Yay!! I took 3 pellets every 3.5 hours until all of the mucus was gone. Yes, gross but it worked for me.
I thought a tissue salt would not interfere. I also cut out dairy and soy for a time as this often causes mucus/sinusitis for me.

I would like to ask you now about a chronic (9 years) skin condition that I have been diagnosed with and was wondering if I ought to ask you about it here or if you would prefer that I started a new thread for this.
Please let me know when you have a moment.
Continued appreciation,
Daniellie

Hi Danielle :)

Taking the tissue salt is fine. And, good job with the salt selection :)

New thread is not needed, you can write about it here.

Thanks.
So, I have what I find a bit difficult to describe. It looks like brownish dark pink spotty discolouration on my chest and in the past 1.5 years has spread to my upper back. It does not itch and is flat. It is not better or worse with changes in temperature, it is just always present. I do not like it for mostly cosmetic/vain reasons.
2 physicians who have taken samples/scraping of the skin informed me that it is due to a yeast called malassezia furfur. It is more common on oily skin, although I have the opposite :very dehydrated skin. Topical yeast/fungal ointments have been unsuccessful and I have tried many over the years. In the past 8 years, I have had a vaginal yeast infection just one time...it is not a common problem of mine.
I also have mild seborrhoea (again very dry) on my scalp and hairline which is caused by the same strain of yeast.

I have mild eczema which shows as small spots on my legs and arms about three times a year.
I also have dry brownheads (they are not black) on my chest, back, back of arms and inner thighs. The skin in these areas are very rough. They are easy to squeeze off but there are far too many to to do. This has worsened over the past 5 years.
As I mentioned earlier, my skin and my head are very, very sensitive to the hot sun. Skin care professionals/facialists often comment on how much my skin is lacking water. I do drink plenty, though, I think. Also, all of these skin conditions seem to worsen after a shower or with contact with water.
I cannot pinpoint any emotions that make them worse, if any.
My hair and nails grow faster than average. (if this is relevant)

And, please tell about your temperament, behavior and fears/anxieties if any ?

Any other recurrent feeling ?

Anything you would like to change in yourself ?

General things which make you feel better or worse ? (These are statements beginning with an 'I', e.g.,I feel better by the ocean)

Diseases that run in your family ?

When did this problem begin ? What was going on in your life at that time ?

Any other symptom ?

- I do have some irrational fears. I am 'afraid' of people thinking I am not capable of something. I am often startled easily. On the other hand, people say that I am very laid back. I was physically abused for 16 years and did overcome the panic/anxieties that came along with it after leaving home. I was in therapy for a few years. My mother has a personality disorder and is still extremely cruel and sadistic to me. She is also like this to my father but not my other 3 siblings. The distance (I live in the other side of Canada) helps. I sometimes fear what she is doing behind my back. It is isn't just paranoia from nothing...she actually and regularly pulls some hurtful things with me and do not see it coming and have trouble figuring out how to deal with it without hurting anyone else. I am a textbook introvert although I do like the company of people, just not all of the time. I am a loyal friend. I do not get angry over stress. I used to about 7 years ago, but I do not anymore.
- Recurrent feelings? Hmmmm. I am somewhat dissatisfied with my intimate/romantic life. I would like have more emotional intimacy in my life as well as physical. I also feel that academically/professionally, I have let my anxieties get in the way. I am in a lot of student loan debt and that bothers me from time to time. When I think of my mother, I can be very sad for a few hours but I get myself out of it.
- I cannot think of anything I would really want to change. I am who I am, which I do not feel is the worse thing. lol.
- I feel better with fresh air/I feel better with outdoors. I feel better after a good sleep. I feel better after a good meal. I feel better when I am doing something with a greater purpose. I feel better after weight bearing exercise. I feel better after a deep side bending yoga pose.
I feel worse before 8 am. I feel worse when it is humid and hot. I feel worse when it is damp and cold. (I tolerate dry heat well) I feel worse when it has been sunny for days upon days, I like a break. I feel worse in basements.I feel worse when I am ovulating. I feel worse being around rigid personalities or people who lose their tempers. I feel worse lying on my left side. I feel worse when my neck gets cold.
- Disease and ailments that runs in the family are Alzeimer's, Asthma, Arthritis, Allergies, Breast Cancer, Hearing Loss, MS(multiple sclerosis).
- The problem began around thirteen years ago (it worsened around four years after that). I do not remember exactly what was going on in my life except that I was in university, in a healthy relationship, good health,I believe I was happy. I was likely not eating as well as I do now.
- Another condition that I have that I forgot to mention is cervical ectopy (called erosion earlier). It causes post-coital bleeding and usually irritation with intercourse, but am told it isn't serious. It is usually caused by being on the pill early in life/before 19, which is not my case.

:) Many thanks Dr. Sameer. Hope all if this info isn't so overwhelming.

Almost forgot:
Height- 172 cm Weight- 58 kg.
Blood pressure is always lower than 'normal'. Systolic has always been under 89 since I was a kid.

What do you mean when you say 'I also feel that academically/professionally, I have let my anxieties get in the way. ' ?

Also, what do you mean when you say 'I feel worse when my neck gets cold.'

Any other negative feelings ? (jealousy, suspicion.. etc )

What were the primary feelings, that you had while your mother mis-treated you ?

Also, how did you overcome those feelings ? What helped ? Just leaving home ?

What do you mean when you say 'I feel worse before 8 am.' ? What happens before 8 am ?

- I sometimes do not feel good or prepared enough to do an occupation....lack of self confidence?? I get scared if I have a deadline. Also, when I was studying, because of panic I would fall behind on assignments. I was afraid that I wouldn't do it well enough. I was seeing an educational psychologist who was trying to help me with this. I am also disorderly by nature.
- When I get a draft along my neck, it tends to aggravate my whole spine and I get moderate neuralgia down my left arm. Note that I have thoracic scoliosis.
- other negative emotions: anguish/heartache about my Mom. Self doubt. Shyness. I was extremely shy as a child.
- My primary feeling during this time was fear, extreme panic and at times, self pity. Secondary, as a child, was hatred.
- What helped me overcome these feelings was yes, being physically removed from the abuse, building some caring relationship with her, understanding the causes/roots of abuse and her mental illness, and starting my own life. I also feel guilty about this though, because when I left home, she then began to abuse and torment my father.
- When I have to wake up before 8 am, I sometimes have aches and nausea. I also cannot operate intellectually.

Many thanks Sameer.

Some other chronic physical symptoms I have:

Radiating pain down left arm and numbness in elbow. Relieved by acupuncture.

Stiffness across breastbone..also cracks when backbending.

Very tense knees and hamstrings.

Left hip joint cracks (more like crunches) with outward motion.

Zygoma/Cheek bone sometimes has tearing pain that eventually travels down neck. Worse after flossing teeth and taking ibuprofen relieves somewhat.

Visible broken capillaries around rib cage area and on mid back as well as upper part of right leg. Ones in right leg causes mild shooting pain. They are mostly pink in colour, some are purple. Developed this when I was 19.

Bursitis in feet (this is recent). Left foot is much worse.

Despite these things, I consider myself to be fit. I like being active every day. I thoroughly enjoy the process of learning about my body parts and my particular strengths and limitations.

Hope this helps.
Thank you.

Hi Danielle,

Since you have taken Lachesis, have there been any changes in your mood or mental state ?

How about energy levels and sleep ?

Sameer

sameervermani last decade
About the first two days after I took Lach, I was feeling extremely impatient, which isn't like me. It just lasted for one day or so however. Other than that, no changes.

I ought to have noted that I have a couple of eye conditions since I was 4 years old. Strabismus (eye goes outward....corrective lenses solves) , Astigmatism (mild to moderate in right eye, severe in left)and I have reduced depth perception.

Daniellie last decade
This nausea before 8 am, does it start immediately on waking ? Please elaborate.

Is there retching along with it ?

What are your food cravings or aversions if any ?

Any foods which aggravate you ?

sameervermani last decade
Hello Sameer,

Most of time, I do feel it upon waking, yes. It isn't severe. Sometimes I do not feel like eating due to it, but other times eating makes me feel better. There is no retching. I do not vomit well. I think in my entire life exclusive of baby years, I have only vomited 5-6 times. I have never really been a morning person in any sense. I know to most, this isn't even considered so early, but for me, it is. ;)

My food cravings, when I have them are often varied. I can crave anything from carrots, eggs to sweet potatoes. I crave greasy foods during PMS. Spiced (like fennel and curry) foods during my period (this craving is probably the most strong), I also crave stimulants like coffee and chocolate at times. I like pungent tasting food. I like warm drinks usually and do not often want cold foods, but again, other times I do like them. I have an aversion to anything pork, the thought of it truly makes me ill.
Soy late in the day does not agree (causes stuffed up nose and gas in stomach).

A large quantity of raw food at times will cause me to have urgent stool that contains blood.

Daniellie last decade
Oh, I think I should note that after my menstrual period, I am constipated (no stool or very, very little) for four days. It is like this every month.

Daniellie last decade
Hi Danielle,

Have you ever taken Natrum Muriaticum ?

Sameer

sameervermani last decade
No, I haven't Sameer.....I can see how my emotional experiences would surely call for a Nat remedy. The only Nat I have taken was Nat Carb a couple of times for heatstroke. Regarding Nat Mur, I do not eat much salt. Does that matter that much? Is that the top guiding symptom for it?

I am appreciating you being so methodical with my case.
Sincerely,
Daniellie

Daniellie last decade
Absence of a symptom does not contra-indicate a remedy. We have to pick a remedy that covers most of your symptoms along with the underlying miasm.

Now this strabismus you have is divergent right ?

sameervermani last decade
I see, Sameer. I am enjoying learning about all of this along the the way to optimal health. Interesting, indeed. :)

Yes it is, this is not 'cross-eyed'. If I am not wearing my glasses, the left one will wander a bit. When I wear contact lenses, it may too, especially at the end of the day when I am tired. It might lightly twitch when the eye is tired.

Daniellie last decade
3 doses of Nat-m 30c in water, at 30 minutes gap, and report in 10 days please.

sameervermani last decade
Thank you very much.

So, my local dispensary does not have this strength, but 30 ch/30 x. What do you think?

I also like to know about essential oils. I have noticed that in some posts on here, people were told not to use any. I use them fairly regularly as I make my own body care products like bath oil. Tell me what you think about this.

Daniellie last decade
30ch is good.

Mild fragrance is fine, but certainly not something strong like eucalyptus or tea tree oil.
