Seeking remedy for multiple problems

Hello, I have been seeing a local homeopath in an attempt to seek a consitutional remedy for many problems I have been having. This homeopath dr. has prescribed many remedies in an attempt to find my constitutional remedy but none seem to work & I seem to have adverse reactions off even low doses (dry dose 30c). Hoping someone here can help.

About me/my symptoms:
Single female (never married), age 36 living in United States. About 15 years ago I developed very bad dust allergies that keep me congested all year round. Because of these my nose is always stuffy and therefore it is hard to breath and I have a constant post-nasal drip. I also always seem to get every cold virus that goes around and am often fatigued. I also have not had a period for about a year and a half ago and was told by my allopathic doctor a year ago I will never have one again because I have entered early menopause (which is very unusual at age 36). About three months ago I developed tingling/numbness in my left arm & foot (which I hope was not in a resonse to one of the remedies my homeopath gave me. Even more recently, (within the last two weeks) I have begun getting very severe dizzy spells and chest pains & had to go to the ER to be treated. I have now been to multiple doctors who can find no reason for the dizziness or tingling.

As far as what aggravates my symptoms generally, my nasal sypmtoms are always worse in the morning when I wake up and when I lie down in bed at night (b/c the bedding contains dust that irritate my nose). I am also suffering hot flashes due to my hormonal imbalance that are always worse in the morning and cause my face to feel flushed and my forehead to sweat.

I do not like hot or humid weather and often tend to feel hot even when others around me are cold.

As far as my mood I have tended toward depression in my past. However, I am usually pretty happy right now except that I am fearful & frustrated of always getting sick and worried I am never going to get better and live a normal life where I am not constantly getting sick. I feel like my life is passing me by because I am always ill. I have also always tended to sleep a lot (8 hours and night) plus a 2 hour nap on weekenends and have always had low energy.

As far as other factors I see discussed on these boards: I like listening to (and falling asleep to) thunderstorms and find their energy exciting. I also usually like to be consoled when I am sick and feel better when I can talk/vent about my problems to someone I trust, although recently in my life I have not felt I can talk as much with them about these things b/c I they have gotten frustrated always hearing about my illnesses & constant sicknesses.

Please help advise me on a possible constitutional remedy that my help solve these problems. Thank you in advance!

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Some of the miasms in your case are very obvious.

What diseases are in your family history? How do you feel about taking care of loved ones? What remedies has your local homeopath tried? Have you ever had any kind of std?

My experience is that if a person has reactions to low doses, the remedies that have been tried are very wrong.

Please see the responses below.

What diseases are in your family history? None

How do you feel about taking care of loved ones? Not sure what this means, however I'm generally not a huge caretaker.

What remedies has your local homeopath tried? Many--I cannot even remember them all but I do know nat sulf, nat mur, nat carb, lachesis, lycopodium, pulsatilla & belladonna. I have reacted most strongly to the nat mur & lachesis--others I have had not much reaction but no improvement.

Have you ever had any kind of std? No

Please answer the following questions in a descriptive manner after careful analysis and recollection of previous experiences and happenings.

1. Describe your main suffering? Loss of periods & dust allergies which leads to constant stuffy/swollen nose; sinus pain & pressure & mucus that runs down back of throat. Constantly catching colds & other minor illnesses where I feel rundown.

2. What other physical sufferings do you have in your body? Dizziness, trembling/numbness in arms & foot on left side. General fatigue & lack of energy, need for a lot of sleep.

3. What mental sufferings / feelings do you have associated with your physical sufferings?

Despair, frustration, hopelessness that I will never get well

4. What exactly do you feel when you are at your worst? Describe the sensation in your own words.

That I am always sick and will never get worse. That all I want to do is sleep.

5. When did it all start? Can you connect it to any past event or disease?

As detailed in my last post, the dust allergies started 15 years ago, the loss of periods a year and a half ago. I have always gotten sick often throughout my life (catching any cold/virus). I cannot connect it to any particcular event or disease.

6. Which time of the day you are worst?

Mornings upon waking up

7. What are the things which aggravate your suffering and which are those which ameliorate the same? Example- time, temperature, pressure, rubbing, washing, eating, tight clothing etc.

Eating generally makes me feel better overall. With sinuses only thing that clears them up and allows me to breathe are OTC antihistamines and spicy foods (like wasabi) but I generally do not like to eat spicy foods.

8. Do your think your sufferings have relation to any external stimuli (like, change of place) or any internal biological changes in the body, like, menses (in females)?

I am not getting menses but when I did used to get them I always felt very fatigued during the week of my period. Lying in my bed always makes my sinuses worse (b/c ofthe dust in the bedding I have been told).

9. When do you feel better, during hot weather or cold weather, humid or dry weather?

I generally feel best in dry weather that is mid temperature (50s or 60s).

10. Describe your general mental set up? Are you Moody, Arrogant, Mild, Agreeable Changeable, Nervous, Suspicious, Easily offended, Quiet, Arguing, Irritating, Lazy etc.

See my original post, I would say I have no huge defining characteristic other than I can tend to dwell on things (once I get an idea in my head its hard to let it go until I have resolution) and can be impatient. When I drink too much alcohol it tends to bring out anger in me rather than sadness.

- How do you feel before or during a thunderstorm?

I like listening to thunderstorms and find them exciting but they do not seem to affect my physical symptoms.

- Do you like being consoled during your tough times? YES
- Are you sensitive to external stimuli like smell, noise, light etc?

I sometimes am irritated by lots of noise if I am trying to relax

- Do you have any typical habit or gesture like nail biting, causeless
Weeping, talking to one self etc? I used to bite my nails for many years but stopped about 2 years ago.

- How do you feel about your friends, family, your children and especially your husband / wife?
Fine although sometimes I feel I put much more effort into those relationships than they do.

11. What are your fears and do you dream of any situation repeatedly?

I fear I am always going to be sick and never get well. I do not dream of any situation repeatedly.

12. What do you crave for in food items and what are your aversions?

I don't like milk, usually crave starches and like meat.

13. How is your thirst: Less, Normal or Excessive?

Normal although I usually prefer room temperature or cold drinks to hot ones. I also like to chew ice.

14. How is your hunger: Less, Normal or Excessive? Excessive

15. Is there any kind of food which your body can’t stand?

I have been diagnosed with a wheat intolerance and often get bloated and feel yucky if I eat a lot of wheat but at same time crave/enjoy bread & pasta.

16. Is your sweat normal or less or more? Where does it sweat more: Head, Trunk or Limbs?

Sweat normal. When I have hot flashes I sweat on my forehead.

17. How is your bowel movement and stool type? Normal

18. How well do you sleep? Do you have a particular posture of sleeping?

I sleep on my stomach, sleeping is usually normal however after drinking even small amounts of alcohol I often wake up at 4am and cannot get to sleep again for a few hours (until right before I have to wake up so wake up feeling tired)

19. Do you think you are able to satisfy your sexual desires in general? YES

20. Do you have any strange, peculiar or unusual symptom or feelings? How are you different from others?

When I get sick I often get a white coated tongue and indentations on the size of my tongue as well as a long ridge/striation on my inner cheeks (both sides)

21. What medications have been taken earlier by you to treat the diseases and do you have any particular symptom surfacing after the medication?

I am allergic to penicillins which causes rashes. I took antidepressants for six months 5 years ago for a bout of depression. Other medicines include taking allergy medicines for 3-4 years & birth control pills for 15 years until two years ago when I stopped all medications.

22. What major diseases are running in your family? None

23. Describe, how do you look like? Describe your overall appearance.

Blond hair, fair skin (that tends to ruddy complexsion); 5'6, about 30 pounds overweight; apple shaped.

(For Females)
24. If your menstrual cycles are not normal, please describe the irregularities, like pains, moods, flow type, clots etc.

Since quitting the birth control pill I have only had two periods in a year and a half and they are very light.

25. What major diseases have you had in your life and when. Please write them in a chronological manner.

I have never had any major diseases but instead seem to have continual colds/sinus infections and low grade chronic conditions (the allergies & early menopause) that affect my quality of life.
