Interesting! I was one like Ravi and the pollen allergy started for me in my third year of stay in the US. One of the prime reasons for people coming from tropical climates into a colder climate like of US develop this allergy because we have not grown up with these kind of pollens in our country! But all said and done, homeopathy is the only cure that I know of having personally gone through this. In one reading of Kent, he had mentioned it takes almost 3-5 years with homeopathy to get rid of this and I fully agree with him.

You would have to start looking into various constitutional remedies and keep in mind that this is going to be a slow process that at times will be very frustrating but if you are patient enough, you will be rewarded!
I am suggesting few of the constitutional remedies but prescription of which cannot be made until we know all your past history.
Psorinum - 1M
Sulphur - 1M
Pulsatill- IM
Remember, Psorinum and Sulpur can be taken one after the other with a gap of a week and one might have to continue to use these medicines for 3-4 years, so keep you patience!
After fvourable responses, one can start taking 10M doses but again somebody will have to watch your progress very closely and you'll have to keep informing about the same.
Now to relieve your immediate symptoms, you might want to look into medicines like Succinic Acid (6x, 30X), Ambrosia (30x), Bacinillum (30x).
There are tons of other immediate relief medicines that may suit you.
I am listing some of the main medicines above and since I have very little time these days to follow up on any prescribing that I might be willing to do, I am passing this information for other prescribers to look into and if needed, they can get back with me for more details.

magicure: it's been about 6 days since I stopped taking the medicine. My symptoms have not improved.
Two additional problems I am noticing in addition to typical symptoms (sneezing, running nose) are
1)severe stuffy nose when I wake up in the morning.
2)severe dryness in my mouth when I wake up in the morning. This is probably b'cos I am breathing with my nose when sleeping b'cos of the stuffed nose.
I never had mouth dryness before. Any suggestions.

Hi Ravi,
Take Nux Vomica again for three consecutive nights.
Dose for EVERY night:Melt 4-5 pills in half cup of water, and take it sip by sip. Hold every sip in mouth for a few minutes before swallowing it.
Do similar process for 3 nights.
Keep posting about your condition. Write about any change in symptoms, or if they get better/worse.
Take care...

I came across this thread and am suffering from the same allergy symptoms that Ravi has described viz:
Please describe your symptoms.
1. Coryza: thick when i wake up and rest of the day watery.
2. Skin around your nostrils: just dry from use of tissues
3. Lachrymation : red, itchy eyes
4.Eyelids: normal
5. What makes you feel better?
Staying indoors and away from pollen.
I have been taking Antihistamines for temporary relief. Alternately Zyrtec 24 hrs tablets.
Things are very severe when Spring starts and then reduces in severity in 2-3 weeks. I am originally from India. I was fine the first 2 years I was in US. But after that for 3 years this allergy has been a problem. Is there any long-term cure for this through homeopathy? Should I also try Nux Vomica?
