chalazion!

hi i have a chalazion in the lower lid of my left eye and it has been over a month.. this is my 5th time of getting a chalazion and the last 4 times i have gotten them surgically removed.. but i am tired of surgeries and i'm wondering if there is something else i can try.. i have been hot compressing since it started vigorously 5 times a day and washing my eye with johnson baby shampoo with no results.. the chalazion is pea-sized and hard.. i don't get any pus and have a tiny bit of itchiness at times, but no inflammation.. i have read about the Epsom salt and for the last 2 days i have been using the hot compress with Epsom salt solution.. i would first wash my eye with johnson baby shampoo and then heat up a 50/50 salt water solution and then soak cotton pads in it and then put them on my eye and then put a heatpack for 15-20 min.. and then after that again wash my eye with baby shampoo.. i haven't seen any results yet.. not even a tiny bit.. so i am wondering if i am doing something wrong.. can anyone please help me on how to get rid of my chalazion because i really do not want to go through another surgery :( thanks a lot

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Roro,
You have beendoing whole lot of things to your chalazion but you didnt show it to a doctor why?
Yuo have done 4 surgeries but now you dont want to go for a surgery why?
What do you feel OR what comes to your mind when you think about these recurring chalazions?
Answer these question earnestly as they would give me the remedy.

dr. yogesh,

i have gone to the doctor actually and he told me the same thing as he always tells me 'hotcompress, massage the chalazion and wash your eyes with johnson baby shampoo and if we see no improvement come back to me and we will set a date for surgery'..

i don't want a surgery because i don't think all these surgeries are good for my eyes tell u the truth.. and the healing process from the surgery takes a lot of tending, and its hard for me cause i'm a student and i cant keep missing classes..

about the reoccurring chalazions i'm just upset.. i never used to have chalazion before and then all of a sudden i got one at the end of 2007 and they keep coming after I got them removed in the span of oct 2007 till 2009 summer.. and then from summer 2009 till a month ago i was chalazion free.. and again i got one.. i don't know the reason i keep getting them, i have gone to 2 different eye surgeons and when i ask them why am i getting them they give me the answer that theres no reason.. it is upsetting to have them because def it affects my self esteem.. i actually cant figure out the reason i keep getting them or why i started getting them 3 years ago in the first place..

hope my answers helped..

hi...
i do have a stye before on my left eye (my doctor didn't forced the surgery method to me because i'm so nervous so he said that i should just be patient and it'll go off after a few months) - after a month of doing hot compress and tea bag, one morning, it just subsided and it was gone, but my eyelids are still quite red...i don't know if it'll go back to its pink color before or i still need to do something to get it back completely the way it was before...this is my second concern thou...

my first concern would be is after a few months, i developed a chalazion on my lower eyelid(inner). I'm pretty sure it's a chalazion because a few days before my eyes were so sensitive in light that i did have a bit of a hard time at work -it doesn't excrete any pus liquid or something, it's basically a lump with i think a pus that is waiting to be broken. I also have a small one on my inner upper lid, not really huge for me thou, but when you look at it closely, you'll be able to notice it and it hard that at first i thought it was a plain pimple.

I have been doing the warm compress for 2 days now and the tea bag that cured my left eye chalazion, but can anyone give me other remedies for this? And how can I get my pinkish colored eyelid on my left eye?

I'm afraid of surgery...and i think i got these because of my work, i'm always in front of a computer for hours everyday, it stresses my eyes. so well, i need help...pls...

Hi Everyone!!! If You Have A Chalazion You Must Not Try To Pop It!!! Do Not Go See The Doctor Unless The Described Method Does Not Work!!! Buy Some Ginger In Its Raw Form At Your Local Grocery Store, You Will Find It In The Fruits & Vegetables Section, For about 5-10 Cents You Can Buy Enough!!! Take It Home Go In Front Of A Mirror, Slice The Ginger With A Knife And You Will Notice What Looks Like Water Left On The Blade, Sweep Your Finger Across The Side Of The Knife To Pick Up The 'Water' And Gently Apply It To The Lump On The OUTSIDE Of Your Eyelid, Make Sure You DO NOT Get Any Of The Liquid From The Ginger In Your Eye! I Had One Of these Things And I Heard Ginger Worked So I Tried This Method And In ONE Week, After ONE Application, It Was Completely Gone!! It May Take More Than One Application (If Its Really Bad, You Tried To Pop It, etc.) Please Be Careful, Remember Not To Irritate or Play With It Aside From The Treatment, It Needs To Be Left Alone! Good Luck!

I used a medicinal leech I ordered online. The leech cost $8 but it cost $25 to ship.

Leeches squirm like crazy so in my case we put the leech in a hollowed out syringe tube without a needle.

This way we could direct the leech to the exact spot on the eyelid. So my brother directed the one protruding end of the leech to the center of the chalazion on my eyelid.

The rest of the leech was still in the hollowed out tube.

When I knew he had started to leech, my brother pushed him the rest of the way out of the tube with the thumb plunger.

There's a doctor in India using leeches on National geographic. So Google leeches and look for videos.

Many people use leeches successfully all the time, as you will see in videos.

When the leech arrived in ice and a container of water we put Turmeric on him, then he regurgitated blood, just to make sure he was purified.

I let him sit on my eyelid for 20 minutes or more (I didn't want surgery or a Chalazion.)

Next time I went to the V.A. hospital the eye doctor said he had known many times where soldiers learned this in Vietnam and it worked quite well.

Make sure you use cotton when you slowly pull the leech off.

The cotton coagulates the blood in the wound well.

Hi! My 5 yr old daughter had 2 chalazions for over 6 months! We tried everything warm compress 15 mins 2 times a day, eye drops, even 2 weeks of antibotics. Nothing worked! Ended up having surgery to remove them (worst day ever)! Went in 2 weeks after for post opt doctor visit and she had another one on her opposite eye! I wanted to cry! I searched the Internet looking for help! I found 1 person suggesting to stop milk. Figured I would try anything. Stopped drinking milk and it went away within 4 days and never came back! It's been 1 yr now and she's happy drinking almond milk:). The doctors thought I was crazy when I told them but I knew it was something her body was having a reaction too!
