Pain, swelling (recurrence?) and low-hanging testicles after varicocele surgery Page 2 of 7

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
No it is more likely the remedy. Aggravation is the first sign that it is working. Aggravation usually peaks about 3-5 days after the dose, and improvement will start to set in once that finishes- commonly 5-7 days later.

But I haven't started the remedy yet, still waiting for Bellis Perennis to arrive from London by mail.

I did take Arnica Montana CM about a week ago. Five granules under tongue, and then the same two days later. Was recommended by homeopath here in Sweden.

I found that my symptoms improved (less pain, swelling etc) after a few hour after each time.

Ah my mistake. When you asked about the ratio of alcohol I assumed you had it and was about to take it.

The Swedish homeopath said I could take Arnica Montana CM, 5 granules under tongue once a month, maybe one extra time two days after the first time, to kickstart it.

What do you think, could I take it more often - while waiting for Bellis Perennis?

CM potency is inappropriate to use for a first aid situation. There can be side effects. CM is a very deep acting potency used only in very unusual and specific situations.

You must also never repeat a dose by using pillules. They must be dissolved into water, and that water needs to be succussed (the bottom of the container hit against an elastic surface like the palm of the hand).

How long did the symptoms remain improved after the Arnica. I took it from your posts things were getting worse not better.

I took the Arnica pillules about a week ago, then again two days after that (5 pillules).

The first time, all symptoms were completely gone that evening (came back next day). Second time, symptoms were better that evening (took pillules around 6pm both times) and come back next day.

Recently, symptoms have been worse. All this can be coincidence, of course.

Going to see the homeopath that prescribed Arnica cm in person this Thursday. Maybe I can check with you before going along with what he recommends?

Ah ok the Arnica has suppressed your symptoms. When the symptoms get suddenly better, then come back worse than before, the condition was palliated and most likely suppressed. It is vital that you do not take any more Arnica, and especially not such a high potency. Those potencies are used only very rarely in very specific types of chronic disease.

Be wary, this homoeopath is breaking some of our most basic guidelines.

Ok, I will avoid Arnica, and might think twice about seeing this man. Thanks for your advice. I hope my Bellis Perennis arrives soon.

My homeopath seems to be primarily a naprapath (did a little search). Maybe best to avoid him.

Update: Today I finally met with my operating surgeon. He thought it looked quite good, and couldn't really explain why I'm having pain, swelling and hanging.

Pain and swelling might have to do with the fact that after the operation the blood has to find new, finer pathways (since all veins have been ligated), he thought.

Hanging he couldn't explain at all, but gave me a suspensoir.

Also, after hearing what you had to say, I will not meet with that homeopath after all. Do you think I should meet a homeopath in person? If so, do you know of anyone serious in Gothenburg, Sweden. Or do you know of anyone who might know?

The important thing is to find a classical homoeopath - someone who obeys the basic principles (Law of similars, Minimum dose, Single remedy, Direction of cure), someone who actually has read and follows the Organon of Medicine. Face-to-face is usually better than any other method of case-taking of course. Unfortunately I have no contacts in your country.

Seems hard to find one to trust, I'll stick with your advice for the time being!

The surgeon yesterday gave me a scrotal suspensory, which relieves the pain very much, only now I REALLY feel like a sick person, having to wear this garment under my pants.

I hope the Bellis Perennis might help somewhat!

UPDATE:

Got SEVERE pain yesterday after walking and standing for 30 minutes, could hardly walk home, felt like left testicle was on its way out of the sac.

Met GP, am now on antibiotics for possible infection/inflammation (not sure) in bi-testicle.

Still waiting for Bellis perennis.

axel lambert last decade
If the antibiotics work, and my problems therefore seem to be related to epididymitis, is Bellis perennis still the right choice?

axel lambert last decade
Antibiotics are unlikely fix this problem - at best it will suppress it temporarily. The Bell-p will help the injury heal though.

David, do you really think I can be helped? I am really really wooried right now - the scrotum hang lower and lower and with more intense pain. The doctors say the only thing they can do is to remove my left testicle completely. Which freaks me out!

Am very scared.

Brisbanehomeopath?

The Bell-p is the first step. We can see what else to do after that.

Are there no classical homoeopaths you can find at all?

you can try

Thanks! I will try to pick one! Also, hope Bell-p will arrive this week.
Antibiotics seems to have helped somewhat, as the pain has subsided a lot the last day..

Bellis perennis arrived from London today! (small pillules, 200c)

Just to be sure, this is how I proced, right?

I'll dissolve 2 of them into the small bottle with the alcohol and water in it (ratio 1:5 - one alcolhol, five water).

For each dose, I hit the bottle firmly against the palm of the hand twice only. Then place 1 drop into 1/4 cup (62mls) of water, stir thoroughly and place 1 teaspoon in the mouth, which I can swallow. Throw the rest of the cup out.

axel lambert last decade
David, I will go away for a week (no internet), should I start the Bell-P treatment now, or wait until I get back so that I can keep in touch with you?

axel lambert last decade
No start it now. And all of tht is the correct way to make and then take it :)

Good luck.
