Hi daktersaab

I am sorry I cannot stop taking meclizine.

I need to go to work and cannot get vertigo.

Also to tell you.....stopping meclizine does not cure my unsteadiness because until september of last year from the reaction incident in Jan,I did not take meclizine and I saw no changes in my symptoms of unsteadiness.

I have been using meclizine for a long time. It is not the issue.

The issue is the reaction.

Dear expolrer, sorry for the delay in reply, due to my own personal problem.
However, I thought you will at least give a fair trial of stopping the medication.
Of course, the choice is yours.
At this time I have no other suggestion to make.Good luck!

Hi daktersaab/bapu4

Sorry, due to busy work schedule, I am still documenting the detailed patient info.
Will post it in a few days.

Also, daktersaab, plz don'tmind.
It's becoz I did not take this medicine until sept of last year and I find no changes in my symptoms.

This medicine has nothing to do with my symptoms except that it was involved in the adverse reaction with the cough medicine. It's just that I cannot stop going to work and want to avoid atleast vertigo. That's the reason I take this medicine.

I recently visited neurologist here and they confirmed that it was not a neurological issue. They advised to see ENT doctor. They said it might be labyrinthitis.

They also did a Thyroid test which came out normal.

Hi bapu4/daktersaab

Just came back from local store. They have something called 'Kali Muriaticum' in 6C and 30C.

Is this same as Kali Mur? If so, then can I take equivalent doses of 6C or 30C instead of 30X?

If this is not possible, then it will take few days to get it by ordering online.

I am trying to publish my detailed patient info by sunday night. If this is the case, do you still want me to take Kali Mur as sunday is just 2 days away and you will know my complete details by then

Please advice

Can you describe more on (give detailed sensation) :

Swinging, swaying

Floating in air or water

Tossed up and down

Spinning

What kind of situation would all these different sensations normally happen in (in someone who doesn't have vertigo)?

So I can see you have been given :

Nat-sal
Nux-v
Cocculus
Kali-mur

Are these the only remedies you have tried (homoeopathic ones)?

brisbanehomoeopath last decade
Hi brisbanehomeopath

Swinging, swaying

This happens 24 hrs a day/7 days a week (always no matter what I do or don't do).
I feel like the surroundings or objects around me (on some occasions myself too) are moving subtly and also objects in a distance appear moving too. The moving is not like literally but very very subtly.

Floating in air or water

This is when sleeping in bed as if I am floating on water or in air in sleeping position

Tossed up and down

when lying/sleeping in bed (same as above)

Spinning
This is only during vertigo episode. not daily. The room and objects around me spin

Are these the only remedies you have tried (homoeopathic ones)?

I have tried bryonia alba, conium etc for a brief period last yr and some other unnamed homeopathic medicines (names not given by doctor.not on abchomeopathy.com)

Let Me know if you need anything else

explorer19 last decade
Oh also, can you describe any pains or sensations associated with the following symptoms:

Anal fissure

Skin eruptions of different sorts

Weakness of hunger (or general feeling of being hungry)

Heel pain

Also, what is the sound of the tinnitus (or sensation if that exists as well)?

brisbanehomoeopath last decade
Anal fissure

pain when passing and after stools. sometimes blood too. Currently unbearable pain since yesterday.

Skin eruptions of different sorts

Not skin eruptions. But last week the doctor diagnosed as psoriasis/seborrhea dermatitis
Scalp-Dandruff/dry
Chest (upper portion - small area) - light brown color. scratchy sometimes

palms of hands - feet (under area) - dry skin

beard area - dry skin

Weakness of hunger (or general feeling of being hungry)

suddenly starts feeling hungry with hands/legs shivering and cannot even walk properly and feels weak. This subsides once I eat (this started only last year)

Also now a days, feels very hungry even after I have eaten. feeling weak and anxiety and tingling effect in stomach and like someone is sucking everything out of my stomach.

Heel pain

i think its plantar fascitis. The heel area of left leg hurts a lot after getting up from bed after sleep and also hurts after getting up and walking after sitting for a while.

Also, what is the sound of the tinnitus (or sensation if that exists as well)?

buzzing sound usually but varies sometimes

explorer19 last decade
Ok what you need to do when I ask about sensations or pains is to actually describe them, not just state they exist.

I understand some of them might be defined as far as you can, but our remedies are all selected on very fine differences - what kind of stabbing, what sort of floating, what does it feel like when you feel constriction (as examples).

I am actually trying to imagine what it feels like for you.

What is it like when everything is swaying?

What is it like to float in the air?

What is it like to be tossed up and down?

What does it feel like when everything is spinning around you?

What kind of constant unbearable pain?

What sensation to the skin complaints have?

What is the weakness like? How weak?

Describe more on 'sucking everything out of my stomach'?

What kind of pain in the heel?

What does the buzzing sound like specifically? How does it vary?

brisbanehomoeopath last decade
Hi brisbanehomeopath

What is it like when everything is swaying?

I feel tensed/anxious/afraid/dizzy sometimes with with increasing heartbeat. feels like I am in a virtual world.

I have this sensation everyday all the time since Jan 2011 after the medical reaction that I no longer feel anything special abt it.

What is it like to float in the air?

I mean i's like just floating in the air over in the sky. It goes away until I feel asleep.

What is it like to be tossed up and down?

tension/anxiety feels like falling down, constantly up and down until I fall asleep

What does it feel like when everything is spinning around you?

This does not happen daily. Only happens during vertigo. tensed with increased heartbeat, anxiety etc

What kind of constant unbearable pain?

pain with the anal fissure. constant pain with throbbing pain in between.

What sensation to the skin complaints have?

chest area/beard area and scalp feels itchy and urge to scratch

What is the weakness like? How weak?

weakness like not able to stand or continue standing, urge to sit, lightheaded and feels as if to fall down

Describe more on 'sucking everything out of my stomach'?

feels like stomach is hollow and there is nothing inside, light feeling

What kind of pain in the heel?
regular pain nothing special when walking after sitting for a while

What does the buzzing sound like specifically? How does it vary?

it varies by intensity or type of sound. sometime buzzing, sometimes clicking etc

explorer19 last decade
So the pain of the fissure is just a throbbing pain is that right? So constant throbbing?

You cannot describe the pain in the heel? - it doesnt ache or stab or throb or burn or tingle or anything?

The sensation in the stomach is of it being hollow and empty, not a sensation of things being sucked out, just the result of that?

Any other sounds apart from buzzing and clicking?

So the buzzing doesn't remind you of anything that buzzes (machines, animals, natural phenomena)?

It appears that the feeling that accompanies all these symptoms is tension and anxiety. Where do you feel this tension?

brisbanehomoeopath last decade
So the pain of the fissure is just a throbbing pain is that right? So constant throbbing?

the pain is constant with throbbing pain in between every few minutes

You cannot describe the pain in the heel? - it doesnt ache or stab or throb or burn or tingle or anything?

It aches with each footstep I take. it's only in the left heel. right heel is fine. It feels like as if a thorn is stuck inside the heel and I am walking with it

The sensation in the stomach is of it being hollow and empty, not a sensation of things being sucked out, just the result of that?

yes, the stomach feels empty

Any other sounds apart from buzzing and clicking?

mostly buzzing. sometimes hissing sound. sometimes I also hear my heartbeat in my right ear.

So the buzzing doesn't remind you of anything that buzzes (machines, animals, natural phenomena)?

it reminds me of animals (insects) which buzz/hiss during night time

It appears that the feeling that accompanies all these symptoms is tension and anxiety. Where do you feel this tension?

I feel my heartbeat increased and also tingling feeling in stomach, fingers and toenails

explorer19 last decade
There we go now we are getting the symptoms I need.

What pain is in between the throbbing - we have a heel pain like a thorn in it, but what about fissure pain? In between the throbbing what is that constant pain like?
