Need help with my 2.5 yr old daughter

Ever since my daughter was born she never like to get bathed even till today at 2.5 yrs old. She screams and cries till she gets out of the water. And if I wash her hair she really gets upset and hysterical.

Her character is as follows:
She is a happy go lucky child but is does get clingy in new situations until she is comfortable. She is enrolled in school for the first time and cries thinking I will not come back ( but this is normal). In the morning I need to sit by her side as she clings onto me when she first wakes up. If she falls down she on the carpert she cries..she is dramatic.

She is always itching herself. This year more skin eruptions occured due to the mosquites bites. Which resulted in swellings. she will itch her self profusly if she has direct contact with her skin. I have to make sure she is covered up (long pants and shirt) But normally itching begins in the night. As an infant she woke up often in the night about every 4 hours. Now she still wakes up looking for me and I giver her water in her sippy cup to soothe her back to sleep. If I have no sippy cup cries for something to drink. She doesn't eat much in the morning I would say she consumes her meals mostly in the evening. She loves butter and ketchup.which I don't buy but if we go out and a bread basket is infront I try to hid the butter before she see's it. not big on meat will eat a a couple of little meatball only with ketchup..Has an offensive bowel smell. Is normal in weight and height. I tried everything with the bath situation.

Do I give this dose in the morning on empty stomach?
Any side effects? She will chew the pellets is that ok?

Just a quick question on why hydrophobinum and not sulfur just researching yesterday and came a cross this list by paul herscu n.d. where he has different categories for kids sulfur, pulsitilla etc.. She seemed like a sulfur child ...I am just asking thank you

Hi

I live in USA and can't find one supplier to provide me Hydrophobinum without a prescription. Is there anything else I can give?

Thanks

Hydrophobinum is also called Lyssin, and unfortunately some countries, quite irrationally, restrict some of our remedies based on what orginial substance they are made from, despite there being none of that substance left in the remedy.

I do not believe that enough information has been gathered to make a prescription here. I do doubt Lyssin as the remedy however, based on the scarce amount of details you have provided. Of course with more symptoms it is possible any remedy could appear.

I have seen a number of Lyssin patients in clinic, both adults and children. The state of such patients is quite clear - there seems little of that state here. There is a wildness and lack of control that seems common to them - lyssin is the rabid dog, you push them to a point and they explode. It can be emotionally, physically, mentally. They certainly are dramatic I will say that for them, but is your child's dramatic behaviour in this catagory, I am not sure.

If you wish to give more details, I might be able to make a prescription for you based on the totality of the case. I think it is important to make sure any prescription is made with all the details, not just a few of them. Since homoeopathy CAN produce side effects, it is appropriate to make confident choices.

. Describe in detail the main problem - appearance, colour, shape etc. What happens, when it happens etc.

2. Describe any pains or behaviours associated with the symptoms.

3. Describe anything that makes the problem worse ie. position, temperature, food etc.

4. Describe anything that makes the problem better ie. pain is better for cold bathing or at night in bed.

5. Go through each symptom or problem he/she has, doing the same thing, even if the problem does not seem connected to any others.

6. When did each problem start? What happened around that same time?

7. What is his/her character like? What kinds of fears or anxieties does he/she have? What makes him/her irritable? Flesh out his/her personality.

8. What foods does he/she crave or hate? What drinks does he/she crave or hate? Is he/she sensitive to anything he/she eats or drinks?

9. How does the weather or season affect him/her?

10. How have all his/her milestones gone? Does he/she have any issue with speaking, learning, walking, climbing etc

11. How is he/she with socializing with others?

12. What is his/her bowel habit like? Any problems? Any odours, strange colours or stool shapes?

13. Where does he/she sweat? Does it have a smell or does it stain a particular colour?

14. History of illnesses in his/her life?

15. Has he/she reacted to any vaccines or medical drugs?

16. Problems with sleep? Position he/she sleeps in? Nightmares or any dreams he/she talks about?

17. How is he/she with animals?

18. How is he/she with adults or strangers?

19. What is the family history of illness and disease?

20. What was the pregnancy like? Any odd symptoms or feelings that disappeared once he/she was born?

1. 2.5 yr old girl hates to take a bath, place her feet in the sea water will only play with water to wash hands, feet in the sink.

2. Her behavior is frantic and cries till she comes out and then is fine.

3. The condition worsens when I have to wash her hair or touch her upper body shoulders and neck. Also if I tell my son to take a bath she starts crying 'no bath'

4. It only gets better if I wash her with a cloth and there is no water contact,

5. She did this with sand and grass and is now comfortable she wasn't crying just wanted to be held.

6. Bathing issues started around 3months old and few months after she started with the sand and grass. I assumed sand and grass since we were always inside.

7.She is a happy go lucky child. Wakes up happy everyday and is social with other kids. She has fear of the water and has anxiety when I leave her..I enrolled her in school and she cries. She gets irratible when she is hungry. I find her to have a exuberant personality and is at times she is a messy eater and when doesn't get her way kicks and screams until i fulfill her requests if not i have to find something to pacifiy her with something she might like. She is always on top of me wants me next to her. Expecially mornings, nights and unfamiliar places. She is better now but was held all day as an infant. if she falls down she makes everything dramatic till I pick her up and kiss her. She is cautious with heights won't go down a high slide without me holding her hand. Won't let me brush her teeth. Has bad reactions to bug bites mosquitoes swelling and redness and scratches till no end. Her scratches gets her skin inflammed.

8. She craves ketchup, butter, sweets, milk, sala, pretzels, popcorn,. She doesn't like chicken, egg or meats maybe two bites and that is it. She loves to drink chocolate milk, juice and water. Doesn't like anything to hot.

9. Sensitve to the heat. She gets prickly heat and the cold as a new born had eczema in the winters.

10. She never crawled she walked on her hands and then walked. She placed words together but is still muffled.

11. Has no problem socializing with others. However since I just enrolled her in nursery she can't get pass me leaving .

12. She was constipated as a child eventhough she was breastfeed for 10 months.
Now she is fine but has a foul smell. I know when she poops and has redness around the anus at times.

13. Not sure about sweat but her hair smells so on the head.

14. Was hospitalized at 2.5 months with a virusu and had a fever of 101. that she caught from my son. Dr being over catious made us go to the hospital to check her in it was a mandatory procedure due to her age. She had iv's, spinal tap and antibiotics to rule out any danger and was give cetnziaxone and had allergic reaction. I believe after this water issue, grass started and she gave me a hard time to feed her solids. She became a very attached child always on top of me.

15. Had a an allergic reaction to cetnziaxone.

16. As an infant she woke up every 4 hours I thought this was for nursing but it didn't change till she was one. Now she still wakes up looking for something to drink ( I give water)some nights she drinks some nights she doesnt? She falls asleep on her back some time her hands above her head but majority of the time on the left side, vertically. no talking in the night.

17. loves our dog.

18. Will go with somepeople instantly strangers or family members some she will refuse.

19.great grandparents on maternal side grandmother was a diabetic.

20.Full term pregnancy with lots of heartburn. She breached the last week so I had a c-section.

Hope you can help us.

I believe the symptoms point more to Sulphur than to Lyssin. ';Fear of being washed' shows only Ant-crude and Sulphur. 'Fear of the bath' shows more remedies including Lyssin - 24 of them so it is a good eliminating symptom but does not suggest one remedy over another. Looking at the other symptoms there is a bigger picture which I think resembles Sulphur more.

Sulphur children hate bathing, are messy, and domineering. They have foul smelling bowel movements that might be detectable from the rest of the house, or even follow them around. The anus is often red and irritated, or itchy. They are hot people, worse for heat, and are very prone to skin diseases like eczema. They are averse to meat, and especially averse to eggs.

My suggestion would be to get Sulphur 200c, and follow these instructions.

INSTRUCTONS FOR SPLIT DOSING

Firstly, you need to create a separate dosing bottle. Get a bottle with a dropper, 15-30mls in size, and fill it with a mixture of water and alcohol (5 parts to 1 part). Dissolve 2 granules or 2 drops of the medicine you bought from the pharmacy into this mixture. Your doses will be made from this bottle.

Hit the bottle firmly against the palm of your hand, or another elastic surface like a book. It should be a firm hit not a tap. 2 hits is enough to begin with, and should not be increased unless it is clear that it is needed. The water in this bottle will 'remember' the number of times you have hit it, so that subsequent doses will be stronger (necessary to overcoming the resistance of your disease).

Place 1 drop into an amount of water - I may start with anything from 1/4-1 full cup (62ml-250ml) depending on the sensitivity of the patient. I would suggest 1/2 cup to begin with. Stir thoroughly and take 1 teaspoon into the mouth. Throw the rest of the cup away.

This is one dose. Repeat doses would be started from the 2 hits on the bottle.

Each step of this process can be adjusted to reduced aggravation or to increase the effect of the medicine. In order to be able to do this, it is important to measure each step (count the hits, the drops, measure the water etc).

Give her one dose only and we can assess her response after 3-5 days.

I just ordered sulphur 200 online. It will come in a couple of days:

Just want to make sure I understand this since I am not experienced.

Once I get the sulphur 200c I will take the seperate bottle with dropper and add 5 parts water to 2 drops of sulphur is that right?
and continue from that point forward on your directions.

Can I give her one teaspoon of the solution with a little juice?

Thanks for your help

mommyof2 last decade
No the dosing bottle first has a mixture of water and alcohol placed in it, 5 parts to 1. Then you place 2 drops or pillules of the pharmacy bought medicine into that.

You can mix the teaspoon with juice if she won't take it any other way, although I am not sure what that would do to the medicine.

Do you know an online store that sells the kit that I can make the 5 to 1 (alcohol)I have searched all stores by me and online I have contacted stores and no sign
of the alcohol solution.

Is there a special name besides ethanol and what amount of alcohol do I have to buy

Many thanks agains and sorry to trouble you..

Ethanol is fine, you can use rubbing alcohol, or any of those alcohol solutions used for cuts and grazes (to sterilize). Brandy is good, vodka is good, any spirit that does not something extra added to it (like milk or cream) is fine.

You only need to fill up 1/5 of a bottle that is 15-30mls, so that is 3-6 mls of alcohol.

I just gave her the the dose this morning by itself, I didn't add any juice.

She was fine the whole day didn't seem aggrivated nor did I notice anything unusual or different in her behavior.

I will report if anything changes tomorrow.

Today is the third day..I notice no change in my daughter nor any irritations.

What should I do next give her another dose?

I gave her a dose yesterday. She acted fine I gave her a bath and had to wash her hair she was frantic but better. Before she would be like a cat jumping to get out from the water this time she let me wash her but was still uneasy. If I had to assess her she was a 10 irritable to a 8 now. Also for the first time didn't wake up in the night slept soundly.

What do you suggest is the next step. I appreciate all your help I see her getting slightly better.

It is important not to just get the remedy right but the potency and dosage as well. Too often practitioners abandon a well selected remedy without exploring all the options for getting the best out of it.

It has only been 2 days since that last dose. It is important not to give too much too quickly and to observe the changes that can occur up to 1-2 weeks after any dose.

It appears to be working, so we need to watch and wait. If there is an obvious relapse it is appropriate to give the remedy after 24 hours of observing it. Many times a relapse is dealt with by the patient themselves without intervention, and it is important to allow that to happen. After 1 week if there is no further progress we can look at repeating the dose.

So far my daughter is better with bathing but we still have issues but not as bad. Her eczema is appearing causing her to itch herself in the areas of her hand and torso area. The other thing that I noticed this friday was behind the right side of her ear in the middle a bump appeared its soft but high in elevation. She doesn't seemed to be bothered by it if i touch it. I just went to the doctor today and he has no clue took her blood to check white blood count and everything is normal. He couldn't tell me if it's a swollen lymph node or a cyst. He wanted me to return in 4 weeks to see it again. Any suggestions?

mommyof2 last decade
If she still has some symptoms I would repeat the remedy just in the same way as before.

Dr. Kempson,

You helped me prior with my daughter and she is 100% better now she plays in the tub and doesn't want to come out however she still cries with hair washing but I can't complain we've come along way!! Thank you!!

I am writing to you now because I found and the doctor confirmed it's a cyst behind her right ear that causes her no pain. Is there something that can be done to get rid of this cyst?

Looking forward to hearing back from you

I am sorry I missed this post. It was around the time I began to get seriously ill.

I would still just repeat the Sulphur for the moment, just one dose exactly as before. If this doesn't help I will retake her case and see if a new remedy comes up.
