Devastated! answers please?
I use a local homeopath to treat my pets. over the past year my cat started to have problems. first, anal gland abcess, then foul stools with blood and mucous (stringy white, and/or glob of yellow) occasionally. lots of trips to litter box day and night, urine output began to increase more and more. cat began to act different, lie on cold surfaces such as bare floor not rug, even bath tub! then noticed strong ammonia smell in urine. last few days her ears began to feel hot (possible temp) yet she ate well and was not drinking excessively. well I found her dead the other day. I am wondering why the homeopath vet kept dismissing these signs? I meticulously shared each one, weekly email updates,phone consults etc. the stools he said 'nothing' every time I reported a new symptom and asked is this of concern he said no. IN fact, the ammonia smell in urine,his answer was to spray air freshener!!! that does NOT address the health of the cat. I feel her life could have been better quality, prolonged even cured if he diagnosed or took these signs seriously. looking at my notes they started gradually and went on for a year or more. plenty of time to look into it. I am blaming myself, but because I faithfully reported these things to him and he dismissed them, I never thought to get another opinion or be concerned, once he said it was 'nothing'any thoughts on (a) what these signs could indicate as a chronic or accute condition (b) thoughts on the vets response (c) any possible remedies you would have suggested? she was on occasional dose of Sulph

acute becoming chronic,leading to nephritis i think.in homeopathy each and every symptom and sign matters a lot for appropriate drug selection.you change a symptom,it may point to another drug.

I agree. this is why I keep careful notes and report them to the homeopath. so why would he not recognize or consider these things?

This is my opinion-a person who has made homeopathy his business acts like an unconcerned human being he is there to mint money and he is .i rate these medicines as miracle drugs and if symptoms are analysed in details and the patient is true in divulging the symptoms maximum ailments will be cure including the most incurable.

do you have specific pet homeopath you would recommend? I have another pet with serious issue, and homeopath prescribing in LM's only, while another suggests 200c to 1M. not sure which is best approach. each of the 2 homeopaths chose different remedy. the one doing LM's switches from one remedy to another often. Bryonia, Nat Mur, Calc Carb, Silica...

As a rule of thumb, new symptoms that were never there are a sure shot sign of wrong remedy.
In my view your homeopath is probably being casual. Anyways.

yes, actually I have been told this before. I think the other cat passed unnecessarily.
diagnosis-mass on pelvic wall size of egg, surgical removal of bone if it were to be done that way, very extensive.
Thirst-drinking mocerately
Stool - difficulty defecating, direct result of mass.
Urine - history of straining to urinate, and of spraying (not spay female) currently not an issue
Skin - fine
symptoms-used to have frequent heat cycles now has none
very interactive, follows me around and sleeps with me. a bit more distant and lethargic at times since illness, otherwise good mood and behavior.
prefers warmth
good hunter, catches mice indoors (indoor cat) abyssinian appearance, small and sleek with pattern of abyssinian.
frequent appetite for small amounts at a time

it's internal, I don't know, I think it's hard, well they cannot draw fluid from it. it is probably slow growing, I think she had it for a long time and you would never know, she's always acting happy and fine, except when it interferes more recently with stools passing, although at times they do pass just fine. I am not even sure if it is something that increases and decreases according to what is happening in her body. no glands involved that I am aware of.

so you don't believe in low potencies and LM dosing as the original homeopath which I discussed, while others dose high and I was torn between the two? the theory is LM goes deeper and more subtle and less aggravation.

I work with C potency only as LMs are difficult to handle and can cause lifelong effects which C don't.

My original question was using LM potencies instructed by my homeopath, which is supposedly better and less reactive then C's according to Hahnemann 6th & 7th Organon. that was the point of this post, not to get prescribed esp not in a C potency.

I assumed you wanted a prescription too.
Hahneman used LMs towards the end of his career, had he used them longer he might have different views.
