The ABC Homeopathy Forum

Multiple food sensitivities.

34 y/o male with multiple food sensitivities. Eliminated gluten (6 mo), nuts(4 mo), eggs, legumes and tomatoes. Dairy eliminated without any relief (only raw or slightly processed dairy eaten) Small amounts of potatoes but tolerated well. Psoriasis on from of shin (weeps clear fluid) and scalp but was all over body previously. It is the type that needs the skin scratched off for any relief. Arsenicum Album 200 with no changes. Thuja 200 with no changes. Taken Arnica 30 and 200 but that was for another condition. I was thinking Bovista 200 for food sensitivity? Any ideas or advice on the food sensitivities and psoriasis would be greatly appreciated.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
I can try to find a suitable remedy for you if you can answer the below applicable questions. Before doing that, please check my profile by clicking my username to know something about me first.

IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ THIS FIRST BEFORE ANSWERING QUESTIONS:
• Homeopathy works only if you give truthful answers, no matter how awkward or intimate. If you don’t want to do that, it’s better you stop here and don’t proceed.
• Please reply to all that is being asked and give details.
• Short answers such as Yes/No/Normal are not helpful.
• I want answers which explain the What, When, Where, Why, Better by & Worse by.
• Example: I have a sore throat (it explains the “what”), since 3 days (it explains “when”), on the left side of my throat (explains “where”), due to eating sour food (explains “why”), the pain is better when I drink warm tea (explains “Better by”), the pain is worse when I swallow food (explains “worse by”)
• Please leave the questions in place and give your answers under each of them.

QUESTIONS:
1. Your age & sex
34 year old male

2. Describe your appearance
Stocky, big shoulders. I have been told I look young for my age and I hold my weight well

• Weight
260, I fluctuate up to 270 depending on how much processed salt I eat.

• Height 6’3”

• Body type (Very thin, Thin, Medium, Chubby, Fat, Obese)
Fairly fit, I tend to have extra weight around the abdomen, buttox and legs again depending on salt intake

• Any significant feature (e.g. sunken cheeks, stooped shoulders, thin chest etc.)
Flaky scalp that always itches, psoriatic patch on my right shin, patches on my right eye brow (gone now) and scalp is reddened from scratching, small patches on both or my ears in the upper rear of the lobe. I need to use a mirror and pull on them to see the patches. Patch on my left shin.

3. Your profession
Nurse

4. Describe your personality in at least 20 words (e.g. stubborn, lazy, suicidal, don’t want to work, always in a hurry etc.)
I tend to be lazy and reclusive. I will make a point to workout. I usually to run late most of them time. I don’t like to throw much away. I can find a use for almost every little thing in my apartment or I am saving something to fix, which sometimes I do eventually. I enjoy reading but lately I can’t get the attention span to read books anymore.

5. How is your relationship with your parents, spouse, siblings, children etc.
I get along with my parents well. They help me out with money whenever I need. My brother and I speak to each other but I wouldn’t say we are best buds but we get along.

6. If relationship is not ok, what’s wrong and how is it affecting you
It bothers me when my brothers family always asks other people to babysit but not me. I almost take it personally when I hear that someone was babysitting my nephews but I have never gotten asked before.

7. Do you smoke/drink/drugs, if yes, details of why & since when
Used to smoke, quit over 2 years ago. I used to drink for intoxication several times a week now it is about 1-2 times a month and I drink gluten free beer if I do. Did marijuana once 6 years ago. No there illegal drugs other than that.

8. What is your main health problem & its symptoms
I have multiple food sensitivities. I had a good idea of gluten but after a detox awhile back I found out I can’t have nuts (specifically almonds), gluten, most legumes. Somedays I can’t tolerate bananas, but that varies from day today. I have trouble with garlic and pepper. I was thinking histamine intolerance but not sure as I can tolerate sauerkraut and kombucha. I tolerate dairy pretty well but I only drink raw milk and use grass fed butter. Dairy is one of the few things I can tolerate. I have psoriasis on my scalp, which itches and I need to scratch white chunks off with some hair, my scalp can get raw at times from the scratching. I have a psoriatic patch on my right shin which will be sent in pictures. It itches to the point where I scratch my skin off and weeps and sometimes bleeds. I have small patches on both or my ears in the upper rear of the lobe. I need to use a mirror and pull on them to see the patches. I actually used to have it on my arms, chest, naval area, neck and on back but those areas are gone but my chest does itch occasionally where the spot was on my chest.

9. When did this main problem begin
Roughly about 2 years ago with the psoriasis. It began with scratches on my legs not healing ofr several months. I discovered the multiple food sensitivities about a year ago. It actually occurred after I was having a much healthier diet. I noticed the beginning of when my scrapes and cuts on my knees or shin were taking significantly a long time to heal. After this the psoriasis went everywhere and now it tends to be more localized in the areas described above.

10. What is the cause of this problem in your view
I think a lot of it has to do with a leaky gut or some other gut issue probably from years of eating crap. I try to eat as healthy as I can but I am at a loss on how this problem won’t get better.

11. What non-medicinal actions make the main problem better (e.g. massage, warmth, cold, lying down, sitting etc.) Eggs and gluten make my psoriasis worse. I just restrict what I eat for the sake of my gut and psoriasis, I can’t eat a lot of variety anymore. The cold weather is making the psoriasis worse.

12. What non-medicinal actions make it worse (e.g. massage, warmth, cold, lying down, sitting etc.)
For leaky gut, most nuts, legumes, some potatoes, gluten. The psoriasis on the scalp tends to be worse in the summer but the shin is worse in the winter. Eggs and gluten aggravate the psoriasis.

13. How do you feel mentally & emotionally during this problem (e.g. weepy, irritable, restless, sad, hopeless, fear of death etc.)
I do get a little anxious and worrisome during my psoriasis itchy episodes. If I eat gluten my emotions are all over, depressed, worried, anxious and more.

14. What other health problems do you have .
Hypothyroid, take levothyroxine. A chiropractor started me on DGL and butterbur for adrenal fatigue. Diagnosed with ADHD and depression but no longer take medications.

15. List down all health problems and when did they start (approximate month & year)
Hypothyroid in 8/2003. I had GERD that started in 6/1995. Asthma diagnosed in 5/2003. ADHS in 10/2003. Occasional bout of bronchitis, nowhere near as often now that I am healthier and quit smoking. I was diagnosed with depression at the same time as ADHD but no longer take medication for that. Lately just in the last few weeks I have been struggling with constipation much worse than normal. Not sure what I am doing wrong.

16. What non-medicinal actions make these other health problems better (explain each problem)
Nothing really helps the psoriasis, occasionally a cream will help for a few minutes, maybe a half an hour. For my Leaky gut just multiple things I cannot eat, that is the only way I can help this issue.

17. What non-medicinal actions make these other health problems worse (explain each problem)
Gluten aggravates everything. Eggs make my psoriasis worse,

18. What animals or insects are you afraid of
One of my main fears is the sound of crawling insects, I feel like they are going to get me under the couch I am a little afraid of spiders but it doesn’t bother me to see them, just in person when they are coming at me.

19. What situations are you afraid of (e.g. loneliness, water, heights, closed spaces, ocean, darkness, flying etc). I am slightly afraid of closed spaces. If I watch TV and see cave-ins or crawling in confined spaces I think that I wouldn’t be able to do that, maybe even a little uncomfortable in some situations. As for caves I am just fine, it is just really tight spaces. I am slightly afraid of heights but I think I have grown out of it. I can crawl up on grain bins without any issues as of late.

20. What occupies your mind mostly
Sexual thoughts, how am I going to pay my bills, my work schedule. I often dwell on spirituality. I tend to go from one thougth to another rather quickly

21. How do you respond to consolation & sympathy
I don’t mind the sympathy but usually don’t say much and can come off as mean or a prick. If I must cry I try to do it in private if all possible. I don’t like public sympathy or consolation.

22. Do you want to stay alone or with people
I usually like to stay alone, I don’t like public places anymore. I don’t mind being with one or two people if I can get along with them but alone is preferable.

23. How is your sleep, if not good, why
85% of the time I sleep good. I was diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea in 2012 but no longer treat it with a CPAP. I think gluten was a cause of my sinus blockages. I try to sleep on my side and see a chiropractor regularly to keep my sinuses open. In the 15% of the time I wake up from an apneic episode but that doesn’t happen often anymore.

24. Do you have any recurring (repeating) dreams, if yes, what do you see
The only recurring dream I remember is the one where I am back on the farm raising pigs again. I forget to feed the pigs for a couple of days and am scrambling to get the feed ground and mixed before my dad gets home as he will be mad.

25. Is your complaint affected by weather, if so, which weather affects & how
Leaky gut, no. Psoriasis yes on the shin it is worse in the dry winter. Scalp worse in summer except now. Unsure why it is bad now when usually it is a problem in the summer.

26. Do you normally feel hot or cold
I don’t go one way or another. When I was fatter I would sweat by moving around. I lost 60 lbs though.

27. What foods you crave & love (not what you eat due to health or other reasons, rather what you desire)
I crave sweets, specifically chocolate. I also crave potato chips (usually something crunchy), grilled cheese sandwiches. I also crave salt or pickled items, not as often though. Occasionally I crave pizza.

28. Is there any food that you hate
Tomatoes, ham, backed nuts say in banana bread.
29. What taste you crave & love (e.g. sweet, salty, sour, bitter)
Sweet, buttery, fatty and sometimes salty.

30. Is there any taste which you hate
Nothing that comes to mind in particular

31. Do you like warm or cold food
Usually warm, rarely cold.

32. Do you want to eat indigestible foods (chalk, lead pencil, mud….)
No, never had the urge to that I can remember

33. How is your thirst (less, moderate, excessive)
Moderate, I know I don’t drink enough water so I attempt to stay hydrated.

34. Do you have excessively dry lips or mouth or both
Dry lips but it is low humidity here and below zero.

35. Do you have any coating on tongue first thing in the morning, if yes.
Yes I do notice one
Is coating thick No, not thick, more slimy

• Color of coating. It looks whitish to me

• Where exactly (back, middle, sides etc) seems to be more on the front from side to side and only on the middle in the back.

36. Any taste in your mouth first thing in the morning (e.g. bitter, sour, metallic)
This is tough to place, maybe a slight taste. Possibly a touch metallic.

37. How is your skin (dry, oily, rough, acne, pustules, boils, psoriasis etc), upload here or email me a picture of the skin problem
It is usually oil especially around the face and scalp.

38. Details about your perspiration (sweat), answer all these points:

• Where mostly (head, chest, back etc) Head, back and chest.

• How much (a lot, normal, very less) normal

• Any strong smell (garlic, onion etc) Maybe a bit of musty smell or just off odor after a few hours.

• Does it stain, if yes what color (yellow, green, no color)
No, no stains.

39. Any problems with eyes/vision, if yes, since when
Red/green color deficient since birth. Glasses/contacts since 2006.

40. Any problems with ears, nose, throat (e.g. nose always blocked, runny, color of discharge)
Nost was continually blocked until I saw my current chiropractor. Continual post-nasal drip. I am not sure of the color because it is down my throat but what I can tell it is clear. I always feel like I need to hack something up, there is something back there, in the back of the throat. It gets worse in the cold weather.

41. How is your stool, answer all these points: how often, consistency, any blood, any particular smell etc.
Mostly every day, I take fiber and/or magnesium and other things to get it moving. If I don’t it gets pretty hard and compacted. No blood. It is usually pretty smelly and pungent.

42. How is your urine, answer all these points: color, smell, any blood etc.
No smell or blood, varies from clear to yellow depending on my hydration.

43. How is your sex desire (e.g. no desire, low, moderate, high, very high)
High mostly but that varies from day to day but if not high it is moderate.

44. Are you satisfied with your sex life, if no, why not
What sex life? It has been 2 years.

45. Males genitals (any problems with erection, any pain, any itching, warts etc.)
Diagnosed with bilateral hydroceles almost 2 years ago. Occasionally I will have testicle pain that comes and goes, maybe 2-4 times a month, sometimes less. Occastional itching, nothing persistant. I think when my psoriasis was really bad I had some persistent itching down in the crotch but not anymore.

46. Female genitals (any pain, itching, warts etc)

47. Females menses details (reply to all these points)

• Regularity (early, late, irregular, duration of cycle)
Flow (low, moderate, high)

• Clots (none, some, a lot, huge clots, bright color, dark color)

• Any discharge (color, consistency, smell)

48. What illnesses are running in your family

• Mother’s side Skin carcinoma of my Grandfather (we think) he passed before my parents were married.

• Father’s side. Father has allergies bad all of his life. My grandpa had some cardiac issues but we think it was from a medication side effect. He had horrible food allergies and seasonal allergies his whole life.

• Siblings (brother/sister) Both brothers had asthma and allergies.

49. Are you taking any medicines (allopathic, homeopathic, supplements, acupuncture etc.)
Levothyroxine 88mcg, Licorice Plus (Deglycerized licorice root with ashwagandha, rehmannia, chinese yam) , Progest, (digestive enzymes), Vitamin D3, Fermented Cod liver oil, Byronia Alba 30x, as needed for asthma coughing. Nat Phos 6x as needed for heartburn/GERD. Finished a course of Arsenicum Album 200c and am taking Thuja occidentalis 200c 1x a week, 3rd week of it now. I take calcarea carbonica 200c a couple of times a week for general health.

50. Have you had any surgeries or implants, if yes, give details
No, never been under the knife.

51. Have you had any long term treatment (physical or psychological), if yes, give details (what, when, where, why, the list of medicines used)
I took antidepressants and stimulants for over 6 years and 8 years respectively. Both diagnosed in college, 2003. I see a therapist a few times a year.

52. What homeopathic remedies have you taken in the past (potency, dosage, approx. time frame) I can’t remember what I took in 2013 for sure but I believe it was Sulphur 30c, every day until the bottle was gone. I know there was one more but I can’t remember what it was. I have taken kali bichromium 30c for some allergies 3 or 4 doses but no effect. I took Kali Iodatium 6x to see if would help my asthma but it didn’t work after 5 doses. I have taken Arnica 30x 4 x a day for a busted toe in October and it helped. I tried arnica 200c for a bad knee about 6 or 7 doses but it had not effect. I took Nux Vomica 30x to see if would help my asthma or Gerd but no effects after 8 doses. I took Histaminium 30x for an acute allergic reaction (i.e eye swelling shut) and it helped some and then I took 200c and that helped significantly.

Thanks!!

Your symptoms are pretty messed up due to taking so many allopathic & homeopathic remedies at the same time and continuously. I won't be surprised if most of your ailments start clearing just by stopping all the supplements/medicines/remedies.

The first step is to stop all homeopathic remedies & all food supplements.

If you can, stop all allopathic medicines too.

Then take just one dose of Nux Vomica 200c and report back in one week.

You have taken your father's allergies and its congenital. It won't be easy to overcome, but we will know within first 3 months of treatment.
