Please try it and post your results! more people need to know!!! You don't need these compresses and 50cc of this or that!!! The answer is SIMPLE!!! GINGER!!! TRY IT!!! By the Grace of God I found it and it completely eliminated the Chalazion!!! It has not come back since and I used this method once! three months ago!

Teddy has a previous post where he tells how he used the ginger. My question is: did you only do that once and did NO hot compressor routine and in one week it disappeared??
Others please tell us how long does the 50/50 epson salt process take. I have been trying to keep up with the hot compressors at least twice a day for 15 minutes each time. It is not as red but the damn thing is still there, I just want to cut it off but don't have the courage... so annoyed at this -- seems like it will never go away. I went through surgery for one eyelid about 4 weeks ago and that was scarey + that eyelid is still a bit swollen which the surgeon says will always be there -- does anyone have any remedy for the swelling after surgery?? The surgeons are not helpful at all, they have NO remedy or NO answer when asked WHY am I suddenly getting these cysts?? I am a 50 year old women in good health but lately have some life challenges and find myself stressed at times. HELP and thanks so taking time to help

I have had three chalazion cysts for 5 months now. I have an appoitnment with a specialist on the 16th Feb (joke as been waiting since 4th Nov to get referred) and I am determined not to go under the knife. I have taken everything into consideration as posted on this site and others and am trying everything to get rid of them. The Epson salt compressions feels like it is helping and two of the cysts have reduced slightly. I have been trying to ginger as well, this really stings so make sure you don't get it in your eye! Not sure if this is helping of not, makes the eye very red. I have been doing this consistently for 5 days, will update the progess...

Tired of all this work to get this Chalzion to go away. 6 weeks now with hot compresses -- 2 or 3 times a day with atleast once with the epson salt 50/50 mix. I have heard some say that once this thing hardens you have no other recourse then to get it surgically removed. I have been doing the ginger thing for about 10 days now, it has not helped. I use apply the ginger juice after cutting ginger carefully onto the eyelid 3 times a day -- but so far the only thing that I see is that the cyst is not growing. Came across a mixture of tea tree oil + water that one can apply using cotton swab 3 times a day but don't want to try too many things. Looking for guidance, please help.

Hi, this question is regarding the Epsom salt compress. Do you guys wipe your eyes clean afterwards. I'm noticing that the 50/50 solution leaves a white residue. Thanks!!

Amanda -- yes have to wipe for sure. Epson salt is messy. Anyway tried ginger root and felt that might have started other problems. I developed multiple styes, perhaps its because the eye was getting too much attention and washcloth might have not been hygiene enough. ANyway after 6 months I am finally rid of the chalazion and multiple styes in the bottom lid... will post to tell what worked. Don't give up its work for sure, very frustrating, but I just now have gotten results.

I also took fish oil 2000IU/a day. Found a really good eye mask that was safe to warm which really helped -- be careful a lot of the masks cannot be heated OR if heated they burst OR when heated they cannot be place on eye. Let me know if you want to know what I got from amazon that worked amazingly for me... I stopped epson salt and ginger root suggestion as it was getting messy + other reasons. Also, since I started to develop multiple styes in lower lid I concluded my wash cloths might require me boiling it to kill any germs etc...

I was also using baby shampoo to clean eyelid area + inside of eyelids daily and while bathing. Massaging gently with finger the chalazion is very important as it loosens the stubborn oil and gently try to push chalzion downward the purpose is to try to drain the oil into the eye. Lots of tedious work -- don't ever want to get surgery done again so had to be patient and finally saw result -- thank God

Thanks ri778 for responding. I will keep trying. This is for my 3 year old who has 3 chalazion. 1pea sized and 2 smaller one on the other eye. Cross my fingers xx

OMG, hard enough for adults can't even imagine treating this on a child. So much tedious constant care involved. Seriously the doctors need to prioritize to treat this condition already.

what kind of epsom salt to use ,plain epsom salt or bath salt containing epsom salt & essential oils

wasiq last decade
Plain Epson salt. It's fairly cheap and available at grocery stores and drug stores. Use of Epson salt will tend to burst the cyst and you will need to know and be prepared once that happens. Warm compressors and massaging eyelid will help drain the cyst which is what I recommend. I tried so many things, but you have to be persistent. It took me about 6 tiring months, but knock on wood I have no new pop ups for 7 mnths or so... There is no magical solution except to be diligent and be patient. Maintain good hygiene...massage the cyst often forcing it downward..you are trying to melt this ball of oil to drain into eye.

since 8 mnths i've a chalazion but well its very small but its not gone completly well its in the upper lft eyelid at d edge as its very small but not so small sme people cn easily notice dat i've a chalazion ,i've tried boric hot compress but no positive response.hw much chnce r there dat epsom salt can make it go ,well let me remind u it's small !!well m also taking cod fish oil capsule 300mg (started taking few days before only)

I took 2000 IU of fish oil daily till it went away. Other than that read what I have written previously. With warm compressors constantly massage the cyst and often in a downward direction... It takes months and months of constantly going through the routine 3 - 4 times a day for about 10 - 20 each time. Frustrating!! For sure, but the work pays off.

eyes became puffy aftr epsom compress ,why??

wasiq last decade
well its reduced but my eyes still looks bit puffy ,well i think after 2 weeks my eye cyst will be gone...

wasiq last decade
Have you been using compressors for 8 mnths? I can't remember puffiness occurring but it's been 7 mnths since I had these...I do recall worrying that my eye area and skin will be ruined forever as I was applying so much heat constantly and for almost a year... Certainly my area was red from all that heat. I do recall once all around the eye area getting very very puffy when I tried a new method which was: bring your eye close to a cup/ pot of very hot water so the steam can help melt it away...but, I stopped doing that as it scared me.

hey ri778 many people also suggest that apple cide vinegar works do it really works??if it really works where can i get it

wasiq last decade
I would recommend not trying anything else and stick to hot compressors 3 to 4 times a day, each time keep it for around 20 minutes. Sometimes there are consequences with trying other methods...
Make sure you massage the eyelid and cyst often + clean the eyelid edges with baby shampoo to open the tiny holes . Take fish oil and be patient and persistent. I will try emailing later today.
