Overnight hearing loss
Woke-up and couldnt hear out of left ear. No pain. No elevation shifts, no allergies, no medication chgs, etc. Nothing different in life to point to a problem. Have had audiology tests and MRI. All Ive gotten to date is You have bad hearing and MRI is unremarkable. Unacceptable answers, of course, this ENT was more interested in getting his vacation started than answering questions from me. Not scheduled for a follow-up until Nov. So, rather then twiddle thumbs until then, trying this route. From quick chat w/a family practice dr, whos trying to help me, possible capillary issue. Also, mentioned something about the nerves. I understand each day that goes by chances of recovering hearing diminishes. What is the next step after seeing audiologiest and ENT. Are there specialists, after ENT, I should consider. Any help or point in right direction would be Great!Rerenkush on 2023-10-21

Over an open forum, I hesitate to share my whole life history. Is there any remedy, to try, that doesnt require such a deep dive into history? Like I wrote, OVERNIGHT hearing loss. No paint or such that goes along w/this. Would I start w/a low or higher potency?

Looked at Stan Met 200. How interesting.
The Remedy Finder states this is for nervous system and respiratory organs. I perused the different sections/areas and am at a loss.
Other than seasonal allergies, have no physical indication of issues in respiratory system.
I can see where nervous system might come into play (auditory nerve).
As you can tell, Im a novice at all this. Given nothing in Stan Met directly mentions the ear/hearing, if youd be so kind, could you share w/me why you chose this remedy and potency?

It is impossible to give any homeopathic advice online without any knowledge of previous life history. Homeopathic remedies are prescribed to treat your whole body as a whole, rather than just one organ (ear in this case). A close-up is recommended with a good doctor whod note your family history, personal life, your preferences of food, light, movement, sleep, habits, and would examine your mood to prescribe a proper remedy.
From your description it seems that youve sudden numbness in left ear, one would like to know if you have any stomach (or abdomen), or urinary problem along too?
Urine: Burning sensation while urinating, in case of pressure? Sudden urgent desire to urinate?
head: Sensation of heat on the top of the head?
Mind: Fixed ideas, emotional to music?
Combination of these or any other Urine/digestive tract problem from these?
This is just to ensure if there is any remedy applicable to you or not. Thank You.

It is one of the reasons I like homeopathy. Treating the person not just the symptoms. Ive been unable to find a homeopathic person in these parts. As you know, in the States, this type of treatment is not in the mainstream nor, in most instances, considered valid. :(
Going from hearing to deaf in one ear, overnight, is considered numbness? Early on I wouldve considered the left ear totally deaf. In the past several weeks it seems the ear wants to hear. Inside the ear I hear little circlar clicks and different types of noises I dont know how to describe. From my readings, I guess it could be called tinnitus. Often, sounds/noises seem electronic. Also, lately, certain sounds or pitches dont feel good. It doesnt quite hurt but its as close as one can get to hurting/pain.
No burning or pressure while urinating. No feelings of urgency. However, lately, Ive issues w/urinary incontinence. The leaks while sneezing, coughing, cant hold as long as I used to. Ive attributed and been told this is because of my age. (Honestly, for oh-so-many reasons, I try not to buy into the age thing.)
Ive not notice a sensation of heat on top of head but have had itchy scalp off and on for about a year now. Oh, and hair falling out in gobs, off and on for over a year now.
Ive always been an emotional type person. And with all the stuff going on like, insurrection of our democracy, idiotic past president, lying and such being ok, mass shootings a constant, now war in the middle east threatening to escalate, I am overwhelmed and the (diagnosed major) depression is, once again, infiltrating my thoughts/moods. Just today I was on the verge of having a full-fledged crying episode.

Come to think of it. In the last week, maybe less, Ive had a new feeling in my stomach/abdomen area. Doesnt hurt but is more like an anxious feeling or maybe a prescription I take is too much right now. This feeling used to happen few and far between. Nowadays, it comes and goes, a few times, on a daily basis. It has gotten my attention and is a bit disconcerting since its a newer issue.

Apparently your describe matches a bit to *Meniere’s disease*. It is usually caused primarily due to aversion to normal blood pressure. So if possible get your blood pressure checked. Also note if you do have prescription to *Aspirin* tablets for pain relief or something. A very well known cause of *Meniere’s disease*.
The clicking synthetic involuntary noises from the ear itself, accompanied by deafness is a classic case and Im surprised ENT doctor wasnt able to diagnose it.
As you have mentioned itchy scalp on the top of the head, usually Graphites in homeopathy are used to deal with such cases. The dosage and potency is a bit debatable depending on your age and your bodily strength. (Do you frequently get sick? or yearly or seasonal? how much?)
A qualified homeopath with experience with such cases would help better determining the dosage of Graphites better, otherwise a higher than required dose would cause unnecessary aggravations to your problem and adding more problem than already exists.

ENT already told me not Menieres. No spinning, swaying, vertigo or the like.
Finally recvd the Stan Met 200 you recommended. Have put 1 pill in 100 ml water. Took my first sip a few moments ago. Sip being nebulous, approx how long should the 100ml last? What should I expect to happen? Is there a guesstimate on how long until I might to experience change or how long to take if not obvious changes.
One pill, 100 ml water, sip once in morn doesnt seem like much, hence the questions.

Homeo medicine doesnt depend on ingrediants. It works in different way. Amount of medicine can not cure you. What can show result is- power. Water can memorise the character of medicine. Using much medicine can harm. In our homeopathy, main rule to prepare medicine is- Should apply only dilution and most lightly.
