34 year old female, 1 and a half years ago began having problems with asthma. Cracked 4 ribs in the past 7 months from coughing, see asthma specialist. take pulmicort 2 times a day, singulair 2 times a day, zrtec 2 times a day, foradil twice a day, effexor 75mg 2 times a day, just stopped prednisone 20 mg a day (3 days ago)albuterol as needed, tessalon pearls as needed, tussonx as needed. I just had surgery on thursday because a nother doctor said i did not have asthma but 'strider' so they stretched my esophagus and looked inside to see why im having breathing trouble. they said everything looked normal but i am still struggling to breathe. i am on oxygen with exertion. i was perfectly fine a year and a half ago. i walked, went to the gym, swam and played with my kids. i have been the same size for 12 years. i am heavy but not sedentary. i have taken quercetin and bromlain for inflammation before. my doctor says no more prednisone......so now i really cant breathe...help...or how long does it take for my body to stop the withdrawls of prednisone? and any recommendations so i can stop some of these meds. i just want to breathe. i have bad allergies but goodness...please help

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
I have read your case history and quite frankly I am fearful of suggesting any therapy for your Asthma which seems to have risen to a level which I have never experienced before as you state that you have cracked 4 ribs by coughing and in addition have had surgery last week to inspect the reason for your major ailment.

However I would like you to visit:

http://www.abchomeopathy.com/forum2.php/65045/

You will read about my therapy for Asthma which has helped many patients but I cannot give you any assurance that it can also help you.

I would not normally have responded to your plea for help but felt that I should make this post as I believe that you are desperate for help. If you decide to use this therapy you will have to take your present drugs with Nat Sulph 6c that I use for Asthma and observe if this remedy can help to reduce your suffering. If you do discover that it helps we can then reduce your dependence on drugs and change over to the Nat Sulph therapy which I hope can cure you.

In which country do you live ?

Dear Friend: Once I went to a Lung Dr. for a horrible cough that continued for 6 months even after 2 or 3 rounds of antibiotics. The Dr. could not figure it out and wanted to do more invasive tests/biopsies. I was relectant because I kept getting worse and worse under his watchful eye. I could hardly breathe and had actually lost 60% of my lung capacity. So I changed Dr. to another Pulmonary Dr. He spent 20 minutes listening to me and knew right away that I needed to see an immunologist. Perhaps you should go to an immunologist too. If you are not getting any better, a second opinion may be in order. It took me 5 years to recover - but I did. May the Lord lead you to the truth you need to get well.
