hi,we were in france this weekend and i got a very sore throat,hard to swallow and a bit chilly,i just gargle salt and take honey.am i still going through the effects of peeling back symptoms?i am due my fourth dose today.
ronan too had a sore throat too last night and complained about his ear so i will bring him to his pediatrician just to check if there is infection,i`ll check with you before giving him anything.ok talk soon x

If this sore throat is an old symptom that you have had previously, it is a good sign as under the action of the correct remedy, old symptoms come back briefly and then are cured on their own.So don't worry and don't take any medicine (homeopathic or allopathic) for that.It will go away on its own.You asked that whether 'i am still showing old symptoms'. Well, to be honest you will experience old symptoms one after the other for quite a long time (to take a guess, may be 6 months to a year as yours is a very chronic case).Do not stop your homeopathic treatment after a few months only just because you start to feel better.That would be a grave mistake.These deep rooted miasmatic diseases need a very determined, correct and systematic treatment to be eliminated.
Regarding Ronan, the pediatrician will certainly tell you that he suffers from some infection and give the 'allopathic' name for that infection and also suggest some anti biotics.But for God's sake, do not give him anything as he is healing under the effect of Drosera.His asthma relented and became infrequent coughing and now it has relented to become a sore and painful throat.He is not hurting in the chest (lungs) any more.His tonsils (the two guards that God has given us to protect us from the tubercular poison and easily disposable and hence much less vital than 'lungs') are hurting which again is a curative sign.If you can understand this.The poison that had infiltrated his lungs has come to the tonsils and is on the way out.Just leave him alone and he will be completely alright in a few days or few weeks.

ok rajiv,yes i have had some sore throats before.i hope i won`t get chicken pox again,i have bad scars on my face from that.
ronan says his ear is blocked so i put some drops of oxginated water to unblock,thats all,i won`t bring him to the doctor.

Homeopathic treatment of all chronic diseases take a long time.A thumb rule is as many months as the number of years for which a person has been ill.For example, i have been treating my wife for close to 4 years now and it is only now that she is on her last remedy.In this period she has received 7 remedies one after the other.She has healed spiritually, mentally and physically and hersel says it feels like a rebirth.In these 4 years she has had to go through a number of acute crisis, but everytime it was an old illness staging a short comeback under the action of the 'similimum'.Then the crisis will invariably subside on its own.Sometimes, an acute remedy here and there were needed.I have personally seen such miracles under my treatment in many many cases.Above was just an example.
To be cured homeopathically is to have experienced something truly beautiful.A person feels like new.His thinking, energy level, health etc. make a quantum jump.But one needs patience, and guidance of a good homeopath who practices correctly and possesses deep knowledge.

I believe that the the child should be treated for his sore throat as his infection has gone to his ears. Drosera alone cannot take care of his sore thoat, only the cough due to infection in his lungs/asthma.
For a small child, this may lead to fever and his sore throat may be worsened

I think that we should wait for some more time as the symptoms are following a proper direction of cure.Drosera has ear and throat pain as part of its picture.In Kent's materia medica, it has 20 symptoms of ear pain, 4 of which are in the second degree.I am sure that the pain would subside on its own.
If it does not subside or reduce significantly, say within the next week or so, then we would need to prescribe for the ear pain.But with Drosera, one should never take a chance as it is one of the deepest remedies against the tubercular miasm, and typically acts for very long.Since it has helped with the child's asthma, then persistent and painful coughing, it means it is a good 'similimum'.Another thing to notice in this case is that the symptom profile has been constantly changing.It is one of the golden rules of treating a chronic miasmatic disease that one should never aim an acute remedy at a changing picture. So best course would be to wait for some more time.

goodmorning.last night when i got home from work ronan`s father and grandmother had called the doctor as ronan was crying with pain in his ear.the doc didn`t see puss but prescribed antibiotics anyway!i pretended to give it to him but didn`t- my partner or mother-in-law wouldn`t understand homeopathy.i did give him painkiller as it is impossible and cruel to ask a child to grin and bare it.he slept great and didn`t complain allnight and is now at school so i hope it is sorting itself out.my throat is getting better but i have a bit of a cough now but overall good .

ronan`s ear seems to be completely better,that`s great,imaginte the doctor wanted him to take an antibiotic for 8 days!
my throat is better but i`m coughing alot in the evening and this morning my eyes were puffy and i am finding it hard to wake up,luckily it`s a holiday and raining so i can be on the sofa!don`t worry i wll be patient :)

So, you can see that i was right about Drosera still working.It will work for a few months more and please do not give any allopathic or homeopathic remedy to him.This is the right time to tell your husband and mother-in-law as to what happened with Ronan.Otherwise they may think that the ear healed because of the antibiotics.Since, you are making a commitment towards homeopathy for yourself and your children, it is better to keep them also informed.Because, when the next homeopathic aggravation happens for you or your children, you will be put under pressure by them to take antibiotics.
Your symptoms, have you experienced them earlier in life?If you are feeling sleepy, then sleep a lot.

yes my husband knows that i use homeopathy and knows i am very interested in it but he will never take it,he thinks differently to me on these things so where the children are concerned i want to show him the good results so he can`t deny it,i also want to be able to answer questions so am reading alot-there was just pressure to go along with things before because when i arrived the doc was there and the grandmother who adores her grandson and is overpowering.here they call a doctor for the slightest thing.
just a question,alot of literature about homeopathy says it`s safe to take with other medicines but are you saying the opposite-that the remedy won`t work or is dangerous?i haven`t taken anyhting since my remedy and ronan just paracetemol.

As you can see, old symptoms came back and they improved on their own and now you feel great.Your son had such a torrid time but i kept insisting that it is Drosera which is causing all these symptoms, but the important thing is that the symptoms that are coming later are less dangerous and belong to less vital organs than the earlier symptoms.He is obeying one of the laws of cure i.e. disease going from inside to outside.Now you gave him Paracetamol for the pain i suppose or mild fever.Now, it is fine.But if you had left him alone, and not given Paracetamol, the cure would have been even better.But all this is easire for me to say becuse i have seen these things in hundreds of cases by now.
Any way, regarding your other question, once we have identified the similimum for a person, and administered it, nothing on this planet will heal better and more deeply than it.I speak from my belief which has been formed by my experiences of treating so many people.In your case and in Ronan's case, it has happened.So, my opposition to using any other medicine for the fear of disturbing the similimum's action.Regarding different homeopaths holding different opinions, it is unfortunately true.But i have made my belief clear.If you find my approach as inefficient or find me incompetent in any way, you then would have reason to doubt me.But if what i say is working for you, perhaps the wise thing to do would be to heed my advice.
Regarding Arnica etc. for acute injuries etc., no problem in using them at all, as and when necessary.Allopathic pain killers are also ok, but not the antibiotics, steroids etc.

i was just doing some reading and was amazed when i saw how similar iwas to natrum mur,it`s uncanny!even more than staph.however i do feel positive affects from my remedy and fully trust your judgement-just thought i`d let you know i`m doing my homework!!
this week constipation considerably relieved only i have bulging hemmoroids that make it difficult.

Why do you think that Nat Mur may be your remdy?What are the symptoms that helped you reach this conclusion?As far as i think, the wrong remedy never helps deeply.So, if Stapphysagria has helped and quite significantly, then it must be the indicated remedy as of now.I would suggest you not to be in a hurry.You may need other remedies in future, but only when this remedy has stopped helping you.

Yes, Molly.Now you have more choices.Simple, elegant and beautiful 'this for that' homeopathy with its prescriptions aimed at the specific local problems and 'classical homeopathy' practiced by lousy homeopaths like me.But also read the threads on pseudo homeopathy and theory of suppression.

On a more serious note, i don't think any other remedy for your hemorrhoids.They must be an old symptom.Old symptom coming back to trouble is always a good sign and is normally taken care of by the remedy that brought it to the surface.Staphysagria should be able to take care of it too.In correct homeopathy, a remedy is never chosen on one or two local symptoms.Remedy is chosen for the person in which the mental/emotional symptoms are the most important.The correct remedy is capable of solving each and every physical problem, no matter what the problem may be.I have seen it hundreds of times.You may remember your son's case very recently where Robina was advising to give some remedy for his ear pain.

I was joking as i pointed out in my next post.I am always for peace.Why do you doubt that?I am sure about Staphysagria because of the fact that patient filled a questionnaire designed by me with around 150 questions.I took a detailed case and then chose the remedy.Also by the patient's response to the remedy who is now behaving according to the Hering's laws of cure.In this case old symptoms coming back and then getting healed. The patient saying that she feels better mentally/emotionally and her most stubborn constipation and belching problem which did not yield to any treatment in the past improving in a few weeks on Staphysagria.
Besides, here you did not address me while suggesting the remedy.If you wanted me to look at this remedy, you should have addressed me.Now, your asking me on the open forum on the patient's thread how i know that this is the right remedy is to doubt my ability.Now, i may take it as an insult.But i choose not to take it like that.But then i would suggest that in case you have any doubts about remedy choice etc., you may contact me via email.As that would not cause doubts in patient's mind.
Regarding war etc., i don't get frightened by anything while doing my work.When i take up a case, it is with complete commitment.In the middle of a constitutional case where a patient is responding to the constitutional treatment, coming in with a local remedy suggestion for a local symptom betrays poor understanding of homeopathy and hence my light hearted comments about 'pseudo homeopathy'.Any way, according to me, you are quite weak on homeopathic philosophy and you need to brush up on that.I said that to you in an earlier feedback to you.

i am happy with my progress,it is true it has only been 1 month..
the hemorrhoids started with the birth of my first son and have been coming and going since.
my cough is gone now and ronan is also doing well so i have no doubts.i`ll keep you posted on any changes xxx

As you are confirming that the hemorrhoids too are an old symptom, you can see that if laws of homeopathy are correct Staphysagria was the indicated remedy when i suggested it to you.Like other symptoms, this too will be healed with Staphysagria only.When this remedy stops acting, we will find the next remedy for you.
Unfortunately, classical homeopathy is a very tough subject where one has to find a single remedy which is the 'similimum' at a given point of time.The reason for its toughness is that when a person new to homeopathy reads the materia medica, he thinks that more than a few remedies are his 'similimum'.But that is not the case in reality.Always, one remedy needs to be found and it is quite an art to do so.Even though i hate to say so (i don't like self praise), but my past successes of close to 95-100% over many years have convinced me that i am quite skilful at it.That is the reason for my confidence in sticking to a remedy, specially when the patient is responding well.

Unfortunately, classical homeopathy is a very tough subject where one has to find a single remedy which is the 'similimum' at a given point of time.The reason for its toughness is that when a person new to homeopathy reads the materia medica, he thinks that more than a few remedies are his 'similimum'.But that is not the case in reality.Always, one remedy needs to be found and it is quite an art to do so.Even though i hate to say so (i don't like self praise), but my past successes of close to 95-100% over many years have convinced me that i am quite skilful at it.That is the reason for my confidence in sticking to a remedy, specially when the patient is responding well.
